I love that topless protesting is becoming something of a trans tradition in the UK. If the protesters are arrested, the state must admit they're women. If they aren't, it shows the glaring contradictions of labeling trans women as "male." It helps their cause either way. We don't see this nearly enough of this in the US (photo by Rusty Elias, St. Peter's Square, Manchester, May 31st, 2025)

The New York Times's podcast just released a glowing interview with a pro-slavery white supremacist conspiracy theorist. They sanitized his rather obscure profile before his supporters take office this Monday.
I interviewed several of Curtis Yarvin's followers for one of my upcoming books. Yarvin calls for what is essentially a monarchical ethnostate led by the wealthy few. In the NYT interview, he praises the Times as a "hereditary monarchy" and complains that Hitler's failures (and the genocides) were due to the "global democratic revolution that they're a part of."
The New York Times - and corporate media in general - is submitting to the worst impulses of fascism now that the elections are over. They were never on our side and never will be.
