I just found out that ghost and pals had said alot of racist, ablist stuff on bluesky, and was toxic and made some fans uncomfortable when in person and has posted sympathy bait to his now deleted bluesky, abused his disabled roommate, and the song the distortionist was written about a 14 year old that was in his friend group that he had viscosly been bullying and having inappropriate sexual relations with when he himself was 20, and he used his mental illness and abuse history as a excuse and failed to even give a apology. My source is this reddit thread, and if any of the comments are incorrect I'm sorry but this is generally what people are saying what went down:
Moots assemble:
Ok so, I've done a lot of looking into this myself, and here's some more context:
Ghost did in fact apologize for the supposed racist stuff and said that it was not meant to be racist at all
Ghost also apologized to that 14-year-old all the way back in 2021, and I couldn't find anything at all suggesting they were ever in an inappropriate sexual relationship
He was definitely toxic to his friends and former roommate though. While he has made some vaguely apologetic remarks on his past behavior (and I think it's definitely worth remembering that a lot of this behavior, especially towards the former roommate, didn't seem to be intentional cruelty but moreso caused by some form of confusion/psychosis), he has still failed to own up to anything
Ghost has, however, re-entered therapy after all this
I'm not saying that Ghost was in any way in the right, but I did want to clarify that the severity of his actions is way milder than how it's portrayed above. Ghost definitely still did some shitty stuff that he absolutely needs to acknowledge and apologize for, but it's important to 1, not blow the situation out of proportion, and 2, remember that he does have severe mental illnesses that, though not a justification for his actions, are important to keep in mind when talking about why he did all that shit.
