“That depends on how quick you work, doesn’t it?” Two could play at that game. Morgana’s eyes gleamed with amusement as the other sat down at the work desk, more than happy to tease right back at him with an humoured purr trailing his words. He’d already gathered up the materials required and sorted them accordingly on the surface, he’d long picked up on the way Akira worked on them and tried his best to put the materials wherever was the easiest reach for him. Akira wasn’t the only proficient one there, if Morgana could boast.

“I think we can get three or four done in the time remaining, I’ll be sure to lend a paw where I can.” After all, it was Morgana who’d initially taught Akira how to make such tools, so what if he didn’t have his anthropomorphic form in this reality? Even if the whole opposable ‘thumbs’ did help he still had his watchful eyes and a strong jaw, he could get down to business if need be.

“I suppose it does,” he replied. He tended to get serious right before he settled down to a task and that perhaps was what made him good at being a leader. He was detail oriented and could manage his time well. He didn’t take things lightly, either. “Three or four, that sounds manageable.” He agreed as he sat in his chair and adjusted the lamp just a bit. 

“Hey, Mona?” He asked as he began to tinker with the parts he needed to make the lockpicks. “Where do you think you learnt how to do this? Make all the infiltration tools?” He  asked curiously. They didn’t talk too much about this sort of thing since Morgana’s past was sort of hazy.

Akira nodded at that, it was true enough. “Yes but, when I last went away from how I was taught, I made it way too spicy.” He reminded.

“Who are you? No….what are you? And what do you want with me?” 

Confused by the fact there was a stranger with his face asking him who he was, then asking what he was, Akira kept quiet for a moment. He didn’t know what to make of someone with his face. His voice, at that. “Are you a shadow?” He asked instead of answering the other Akira’s question.

“Akira…” He sighed. “It will come. I’ll make absolute sure of it. We’ve tracked down so many powerful people. He can’t hide from us for long.”

“For now… Can we have some coffee?”

Akira nodded softly in consideration. He still wasn’t convinced that he could recover from the scandal caused by the lies and the corruption. “Thank you,” he breathed out. 

When Yusuke asked for coffee, he nodded quickly and stood up. “Just a minute. If you’re hungry I’ll make some curry too. And I’ll make it the way I was taught, it won’t deviate. I don’t need to make an inferno out of curry.”

“I know… but hoping is all we can do. And trying, of course.”

“…I just don’t think it’s fair. All of us getting the justice we deserve, but… not you. I really hope that we can get that for you. You’ve already done so much for all of us.”

Akira nodded softly to Yusuke and then gave a vague motion with his hands. 

“I know that fate can be rewritten, so I’m sure that something will come from this. But, I genuinely like helping people and... Even if my own justice doesn’t come, I’m truly happy to make sure others have theirs.” He said. “That doesn’t mean I won’t try to get my own.”

“We will clear your name. Whatever it takes. If we ever get the chance… We’ll steal that terrible man’s heart, and make him confess his crimes. If we can do that… then perhaps it will be as if your criminal record never existed.”

He sighed. “That’s… what we could hope for, anyway.”

Akira considered what Yusuke said carefully. His lips pursed into a thin line as he nodded slowly. He didn’t however want to consider the fact that once something was on his permanent record that it might actually be permanent. He’d already been labeled as a delinquent for so many months. “I doubt it would be that easy. It’ll be dangerous, too.” He said and shook his head faintly.

“We’ll see what we can do. But, if we can cause a change of heart for that man, then that’s all I can hope for, really. I don’t know if there’s much more to be done for me, though. But, him having a change of heart is for the general good.”

“But every single school…? That seems like such a stretch. Shujin allowed you to attend. It almost feels like a waste to graduate if there’s nowhere you can go. I suppose it’s just a step up from not being able to finish highschool, but…”

“Shujin was the only one that would take me.” Akira explained and shrugged. “I almost wasn’t able to finish high school.” He reminded and then cleared his throat. “Besides, I’m sure if I finish probation without any mishaps, I’ll at least finish third year through my old school... It’s still not guaranteed that I’ll get into university, though... Which is honestly rather depressing to think about. I don’t usually talk about these things. I try to... Just put it aside but the closer to my year’s probation being over...”
