āVenice has always fascinated me. Every country in Europe then was run by kings and the Vatican except Venice, which was basically run by councils. Iāve always wondered why.ā Alan Furst
Venice Was our first top in Italy and the best place to start. Once you land at the airport you take a boat to the city. In this beautiful all you take is boats or your feet.
Once we found our room and dropped our bags we headed out to explore or get lost in the beauty that is Venice as I like to put it.
Getting lost is easy in Venice so I recommend using your phone to take photos of the signs to find your way back to your room.
If first thing we wanted to do was try someĀ gelatoĀ but we took a few wrong but right turns and ended up at theĀ Piazza San Marco
We walked around a good bit and tried to take it all in but in time we started to get hungry and when in Italy you have to try the Pizza and let me tell you it is AMAZING
Ā We spent the next few day lost in a state of bliss as we ate pizza and pasta and drank all the wine we could find. Wine just happens to be the cheapest thing to drink.
Along with this we took the the Venice Islands and all the amazement of them.
We got glass fromĀ MuranoĀ and lace inĀ BuranoĀ and had our breath taken away in the Cemetery onĀ Isola di San Michele
We took in every moment and ally way we could to enjoy every
moment before our time was up.
But before we left we had to take aĀ gondola ride
3 days inĀ Venice āVenice has always fascinated me. Every country in Europe then was run by kings and the Vatican except Venice, which was basically run by councils.
