Happy AHiT (and very belated UT) anniversary yall!

I thought it’d be appropriate to make a mashup of an emotional piece from A Hat in Time with another equally emotional track from Undertale, a game that’s left a similar influence on others

It’s really impressive how fast two years can fly by, and it’s truly amazing how big of an impact this game has made

I’ve personally seen and interacted with a whole lot of nice and cool people in this fandom, and it’s honestly really awesome how A Hat in Time was able to bring together so many!

That said, I hope yall enjoy this mashup :D

Why did her grandfather have to pretend to be running a filming supply place anyway? Couldn’t he have just say… left things alone?

“Ooooooh..” Hat Kid dragged it in realization. Defective film rolls huh? Well, getting it would do a lot of sneaking around to do, which would be.. almost a peace of cake for her. The key word is almost.

“Oh, you got it! But uh..” She frowned there for a second. “Honestly? I am... not sure how to do that. Might wanna make a plan. It’s not like I can ask them to give me the roll.. I wanted to get a time piece from them, guess how that turned out. Buuuut, if you have any ideas, please share them!”

Hat Kid started bouncing up and down on her feet, trying to think. Thinking vewy hawd, as they say.

"So... how long do you think those two birds are going to be arguing anyway?"

“Oh, Conductor and DJ Grooves? They have been fighting for a loooooong time! I would be very surprised if they suddenly stopped!”

“But… it would be very nice if they would just.. stop one day, you know. One time they both tried to kill but that’s another story. I’m sure you don’t wanna hear it.”

Hat Kid tapped her chin for a split second there.

“Speaking of which.. why are you asking? Do you know them?”

After a bit of an awkward silence between them, and some very unnecessary critique on her outfit’s design, Hat Kid just looked at him with an honestly baffled expression. It’s not like the advice was bad, it’s just she owned only one outfit not including different hats, so there’s honestly nothing she can do about it.

She frowns, and looks away for a split second before blurting out a very blunt but honest statement:

“I.. don’t know you.”

“Riiiiight. You’re saying that just so I say my line and my shtick of how evil I am.” Crow says, not believing her. Honestly he gets some shy fans here and there, so might as well. “Well you get one, then you’re off my ship.”

“Cower and fear, your kingdom is forfeit to the true ruler and true evil of this world. ME! CROW! Stand down now and we will show the minimum level of mercy to those who give up- and less for anything else.”

“AAAHAAHAAHAAAHAAA!” Completed with a maniacal laugh. But he pauses in a somewhat theatrically evil pose. Nice.

She just stood there. And blinked. Aaaand blinked again. She.. really didn’t know what was that all about. It seemed like this villain was.. pretty famous at least? She wasn’t no stranger to villains at all, but, damn.

After a few seconds of awkward silence and her going “Uhhhhh” Hat Kid finally looked up at him, clearing up her throat a little bit.

“It’s... very nice to meet you, Mr. Crow! It’s totally not the first time I’ve ever heard of you, no-no! But uh, I think I should get going already! Buh-bye!”

She already was about to walk out the door but upon openiing it she saw nothing. But clouds. Only now it dawned to her that they were flying really high above the ground.

“EEP!” She squaked, quickly shutting the giant metal door, trying to catch her breath. Her eyes sloooooowly moved over to Crow, as she started laughing awkwardly.

“Oopsie.. guess leaving right now is not an option for me, huh?.. Hehe!..”
