What people think of you impacts how they treat you, how they treat you impacts the nature of your relationships, and the nature of your relationships has an impact on your livelihood, attitudes, status, attitudes, moods, actions, and reactions… and all of that CAN change who you are.
No, I agree with you. However, I also believe that we develop critical thinking and, although things that happen in certain periods of our lives unavoidably affect us, we still are in charge and we can, for our own good, come to a point when we decide what to make of critics we receive and let them influence us only to an extent or maybe even to inspire us. This is not to blame people who have suffered for how they’ve been treated or judged too harshly, nor I’m not saying it’s a easy thing to do, but it’s also important to remember that we can’t control other people’s feelings and unfortunately everybody gets hurt at some point, no matter how we try to avoid it. If you’re fine and happy with who you are and the things you like to do, even if they seem unusual or weird to other people, then try to ignore a quick judgment for your own tranquillity. We are complex beings, you know that you’re so much more than one thing. We don’t always get the opportunity to show people who we really are. I don’t know if you’re familiar with the show in question, but what you described is exactly what happened to the red-haired girl (Tish) who’s complaining for being labeled as ‘the brain’ (and, to people in her town, lost her identity as soon as she scored a not-so-perfect grade). Those people’s behaviour had an impact on her life. Her father, who has a longer life experience, came to that point I mentioned before and realized he has to feel unconcerned with his label, being aware that he’s more than 'beardy’ man despite this is all some people see of him. I think his character also had a great point about how labeling, although demeaning, is the quicker way to recognize someone, and people don’t always do it with bad intentions. I hope this makes sense!

In a sudden bombing, my home was destroyed, and the place that once brought my family together became nothing but ruins. I lost several members of my family, and I, my wife, and my daughter were injured, leaving us with deep physical and emotional suffering.
After losing my home, my job, and my only source of income, I became unable to work because of my injuries. My responsibilities became greater than my ability to provide. Today, I live with my children in a small, worn-out tent ⛺ that does not protect us from the heat of the sun ☀️, the cold of winter ❄️, insects 🐜, or rats 🐭 that have become part of our daily struggle.
Even the little food we manage to get 🍞 does not remain safe for us, as the rats eat it, and my children cannot eat it afterward. We are living in extremely difficult conditions, trying only to survive through fear and hardship 💔.
The tent where we live is located near the yellow line, and we have nowhere else to go or a safe place to shelter. It breaks my heart to see my children suffering while I cannot provide what they need 😢.
I ask kind-hearted people ❤️ to stand with me and help us provide medical treatment for my wife and daughter 🏥, secure the basic needs for my children, and help us overcome these unbearable circumstances after losing everything.
