Scarlett raised a brow and looked up at him when he had spun her around. She ran her fingers through his hair and leaned forward to kiss at his neck, as well. “Do we really need to worry about breakfast right now?” she questioned, her kisses beginning to move lower.

A gentle chuckle left his lips. Leaning his head back as he happily allowed her to press kisses against his skin. Running his hands down Scarlett’s backside. “I think breakfast can wait.” He mentions before cupping her cheek to press a sweeter kiss to her lips.

Scarlett grinned upon feeling Bucky’s lips against her own. She gladly returned the kiss, deepening it and wrapping her arms around his neck while pressing her chest up against his. “Good,” she whispered into the kiss happily.

Scarlett tilted her head to the side and gnawed on her lower lip as he began to nibble on her earlobe. “So… Is this your way of thanking me?” she asked in a seductive whisper.

A small chuckle leaves his lips as he heard her question. “Hmm, perhaps it is.” His tone holding hints of flirtation as he took one of her hands in his own. “How about I make us breakfast as well?” He offers in a kind tone, still peppering her neck in kisses before he lightly turned her around.

Scott raised a brow at her words, honestly surprised by them. “I just figured that you wanted to continue your book,” he replied, stuffing his hands into his pockets and kicking blindly at the ground. “You sure? I don’t wanna make you feel like you have to be polite and nice to me,” he informed her, not wanting her to feel as though she was obligated to offer for him to stay. Though he did want to stay and possibly get to know more about her.

“I’m sure. I just don’t know how to handle compliments. I get all…” There wasn’t really a word she could summon that felt like it fit. Not without making her feel even more like an idiot. “I don’t know. Just never learned how to take a compliment gracefully, I guess.” Perhaps that might help–giving him some context. “I really would like the company.”

“You get flustered?” he decided to finish the sentence with his own word, figuring that it was the truth. “That’s fine. In fact, it’s cute,” he told her how he felt about her not being able to take a compliment. He did think it was cute and, to be honest, it only made him more attracted to her. But he couldn’t say that out loud. Because he didn’t want her to think that he was a creep when he really wasn’t. A womanizer on occasion, maybe. But, when he grew to care about a girl, even if it was a girl he’d literally just met, he was probably the sweetest and most loyal guy you could ever hope to meet.

She furrowed her brow, inwardly sighing at her own awkwardness. Her inability to handle things like a normal person had made this person feel like his company wasn’t welcome. That was far from the truth. “You don’t have to go if you don’t want to.” Rose offered him an awkward smile. “I’m sorry. I’m not very good at talking to people.”

It certainly didn’t help with meeting people, but without that pressure, it was easier to speak. “I find it really relaxing most of the time. I don’t like it when it’s too quiet, you know?”

“There are some parts I’m not a fan of, but there’s a lot going on. Definitely not dull.” She looked up then, surprised to find him so close. “Yeah, actually. Natural light, fresh air. Sometimes I get to hear birds.”
