I drew him this way because of how he arrived on the island, dishevelled and a mess, but also thought it was funny skit that he ain’t allowed to gel his hair and meets a ton of characters we see from the show who do gel their hair.

Posted Chapter Twelve earlier today and now I wanted to draw a picture of Thatch, I really wanted to draw some… spoilers but I like drawing for everyone so I guess it’s just Thatch for now (I’ll likely post the sketch later but yeah). Synopsis: Thatch goes back in time after death and wakes up in Dawn Island in the jungle. He is promptly found by ASL brothers.

Not as detailed as the other one, but I wanted a rough idea of how he drinks at the gravesite. Those are his blades crossed over it since Sabo has expressed interest in them. Baratie’s uniform + Makino’s kerchief, this is how I envisioned him during his stay there + his return home. His face is a little gaunt but he’s not skinny yet, the grey sauces filled with sake remains the only thing in his hand and in his mouth the blood.
