A young man pushes his way through the doors into the main stage room of the Honeybee Inn - a member of SOLDIER, based on his attire. Scanning the room, he clears his throat and approaches the first person who doesn’t seem preoccupied: Pari.
“You there. I am looking for information. Can you answer a few questions?”
(FF7 Remake verse)
Thank goodness she was decent at not letting her true identity slip.
Moonlighting as one of the Honeygirls at the Honeybee Inn wasn't the most glamorous of assignments but it worked for her. After all, she could feed intel back to her cell of Avalance.
Not Barrett's cell, of course. They had deemed his methods too radical. Although she did get a lot of flak from her seniors when she'd stated that she could completely understand why he chose his methods. But that was neither here nor there.
Not even dropping the tray of drinks in her hand, she elegantly turned to the SOLDIER.
"Oh! You want answers from little old me? Well, sir. I would be more than happy to give you them. I do strongly suggest we get out of the way of the main area. Gives the dancers the heebie jeebies."
He looks off to the side as Pari speaks, as if he's not interested - truthfully, he's almost amused, if anything. Based on their latest 'intel', he doesn't think she's telling the truth. Before responding, he looks to the floor, eyes closed.
"Yes, that would be foolish of them. Almost as foolish as opposing Shinra in the first place. But you know nothing about that, of course."
His last remark comes out sounding more like a jab than a matter-of-fact statement. Indeed, he doesn't trust Pari, or anyone else in this establishment - if his intel is accurate, then this whole building is crawling with undercover Avalanche operatives, so he can't afford to let his guard down. The SOLDIER looks up and makes eye contact with Pari, hoping to shake her up a little.
"...Despite this, we recently received a tip. We believe there is an Avalanche agent operating undercover within this very business. I am here because this represents a potential problem, and SOLDIERs such as myself are sent in to deal with such problems."
