@thatssotammy
Wrong? Have you ever listened to bachata chama? No sabes lo que te pierdes.
No, I listen to music I like. And that's not in the mix. Deal with it, bambino.
Everyone has different opinions, what if I think The Beatles are the worst fuckinā excuse for music ever? Pensaste en eso?
As long as you're okay with accepting that the opinion is wrong and also merdoso...We'll be fine.
Very weird. Muy, muy raro. But who said you were normal, chama?
At least it'd good music, so I'd rather be weird than normal if that's the case.
excuse me // tanner and tamera
He had to restrain himself from rolling his eyes. They werenāt doing a lab, they didnāt have a way of contaminating anything, and yet, she still felt the need to correct him. Sheās so beautiful. So, so beautiful, but then she just opens her mouth and ruins it all. But lucky for her, Tanner doesnāt really get mad easily. Instead, he just nods, disregarding her words. Pulling out a can of Arizona tea and another sandwich, he handed one to Tamera, smiling innocently and shrugging his shoulders.
"You can have one. Itās only cheese though because Iām a vegetarian. Want some juice? Arizona tea is the bomb dot com." he chuckled, opening the can and taking a gulp. Mainly, he was doing this to see the reaction Tammy would give him, because he found them funny. But he also never ate lunch, so eating in class was a thing heās been doing since he started going to school. Plus, he was a straight A student, so teachers just let it slide most of the time.
Raising an eyebrow, he looked back at her. āOr Meyerās description, that guy was an idiot. Well, thatās technically true, but Dmitri Mendeleev formulated it into what we use today. Lots of scientists actually believe heās the founder of it all, and he kind of is when you think about it. I mean, he made it all make sense, you know? Without him, where would science even be?āĀ
Eyeing the sandwich that had now been all but plonked into her hand, Tamera couldn't help but be a little skeptical. She was an incredibly fussy eater and she doubted that the sandwich would be up to her impeccable standards, so instead, she placed the food near Tanner and shook her head, gulping slightly. "Actually, I'm fine but grazie," the brunette thanked the boy, a genuine smile creeping onto her lips.
"Wait, you're a vegetarian?" Tamera asked, cocking her head to the side and leaning in closer, her eyes scanning over him inquisitively. "Why?" she prompted, in case he wouldn't answer. Her family would never dream of being vegetarians and although she tried to coerce them into it when she was fourteen, they never bought it and eventually Tammy gave in. However, she often took the vegetarian options on menus and always drank soy and coconut milk rather than normal. However, that was just another bizarre quirk of hers.
Giving a small nod of agreement to accept his point, the girl quickly retaliated. "Well, chemistry would be extremely set back, I'll give you that, but not all science. New discoveries and physics would still go ahead, or at least a lot of it. Especially biology. So whilst I concur with you that it was a great discovery, we still would've continued with the other sciences, just perhaps chemistry would be slower developing."
When I work, I can only listen to Elvis and the Beatles. Is that weird?
Glad weāre on the same page then. So when can I prove it to you?
As much as evidence is crucial to prove a hypothesis, I think Iāll trust youāre a man of your word. Thanks for the offer though.
Because it absolutely was.
Huh. That would definitely explain it.
Trust me, Iāve never teased a girl in my fucking life.
How come I get the feeling that was some form of sexual innuendo, bello?
Donāt worry about it.
Oh, come on! Hasn't anyone ever told you not to tease like that?
I donāt really have a choice, but thanks. And I donātā¦thereās nothing I really want for myself, not anymore. So itās justā¦whatever. Itās a routine.
Not anymore?
Yeah, well, someone has to. And since my parents fucking opted out of the job, I guess itās on me now. Which means Iām stuck in this fucking hellhole until theyāre all old enough to find their own way.
Although you think itās your responsibility, you canāt put that much pressure on yourself, bello. Remember itās okay to be selfish sometimes.
Because thereās nothing left for me there, and I donāt want to be the next asshole to abandon my family, my brothersā¦and my sister, have already gotten fucked enough.
Ah, I get it. Famiglia is the most important thing we have and itās good you wish to protect it. Perhaps one day things will change and youāll move when things are in a better position.
excuse me // tanner and tamera
He knew Tamera didnāt care at all, what he wanted to do with the experiment versus what she wanted to do. Obviously she already had an idea, but she was just being fake ā like she was with everyone. Maybe if she genuinely cared about his idea, he would genuinely be nice back, but shaking his head, he laid back in his chair, cracking his knuckles and going into his backpack.
Pulling out a cheese sandwich, he took a bite and sighed, stretching his arms. He had a headache and he really didnāt want to argue, so instead of being a jerk or anything, he just decided to actually be nice. Genuinely nice, not fake nice like Tamera, but still, nice, and thatās all that counted.
"I was thinking we could do howĀ Dmitri Mendeleev discovered the periodic timetable and the undiscovered elements and all." that had been his idea, because one, it sounded alright, and two, what could beat the discovery of the periodic timetable and itās undiscovered elements? Surely they had to get a good grade on that. But for Tameraās sake, he still decided to ask. "Did you have anything in mind?"
Tamera eyed the sandwich that Tanner took out of his bag with cautious eyes and cocked her head to the side, her eyes flicking to the poster with ālab rulesā written on it in bold writing. It specifically said āno food allowedā and for good reason, he was intelligent and he should know by now that you canāt do such a thing, especially in a Chemistry lab, no less. Pursing her lips, she rubbed them together, feeling the smoothness of her chapstick as a soothing motion for her.
"You really canāt eat in here, itās actually dangerous," the petite brunette pointed out, gesturing towards the sign on the wall. Due to her disability, it made rules a thing that she just stuck to, almost like a permanent routine. When someone didnāt follow them it became confusing for her and put Tamera in a position she didnāt quite know how to react to.
Impressed by his suggestion towards the work however, the brunette flipped her hair over her shoulder and have a nod. āSounds wonderful, however, I may point out that he actually invented the format we use, not discovered it. If he hadnāt figured out to put them in order of mass then weād still be stuck Newlandās law of octaves and no-one wants thatā she joked, nudging him in the arm with a laugh. It was so easy for Tammy to find humour in something she knew so well.
Fuck no I wouldnāt, Iām not a total moron, why the fuck would I choose to be homeless in Brooklyn when I can live a shitty life with my $500 vinyl collection here?
ā¦Thanks?
I suppose thatās one way to look at it. Why donāt you just get a job and save up to move then?
It was only the truth but youāre welcome.
Yeah, thatās not really a fucking option, or I would have packed my shit up a long time ago.
Oh, please. If you were that determined, you would have gone by now regardless.
I mean youāre whiny but at least youāre bello...
Iām spending my senior year of high school here instead of in Brooklyn with my friends, Iād say that makes me a fucking idiot.
Then...go back there? Surely that makes sense, sì?
