Here Are 7 Redesigns Of The $20 Bill That Honor Women
all the midnights in the world (2010-2011)
mixed media on canvas, 80cm x 100cm.
by Eva Eun-Sil Han
The comic succeeded in a manâs world partly by reinforcing its harsh guidelines.
We illustrated special moments in time of Joan Rivers and modified it here and there where we needed to, thus the many middle fingers. This art was drawn before she passed and since, weâve decided to give 10% of the profits to the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) as we heard she was an active donor. This print will be available for a very limited time and meant to celebrate & honor Joan's supreme talent to stand up & make life funny. All tees are made in Los Angeles and sublimated on Unisex American Apparel tees. Size chart here. *Please note, when digital sublimating on blanks, there tends to be small creases around the armpit
If you are a woman, if youâre a person of colour, if you are gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, if you are a person of size, if you are a person od intelligence, if you are a person of integrity, then you are considered a minority in this world. âŚAnd itâs going to be really hard to find messages of self-love and support anywhere. Especially womenâs and gay menâs culture. Itâs all about how you have to look a certain way or else youâre worthless. You know when you look in the mirror and you think âoh, Iâm so fat, Iâm so old, Iâm so uglyâ, donât you know, thatâs not your authentic self? But that is billions upon billions of dollars of advertising, magazines, movies, billboards, all geared to make you feel shitty about yourself so that you will take your hard earned money and spend it at the mall on some turn-around creme that doesnât turn around shit. When you donât have self-esteem you will hesitate before you do anything in your life. You will hesitate to go for the job you really wanna go for, you will hesitate to ask for a raise, you will hesitate to call yourself an American, you will hesitate to report a rape, you will hesitate to defend yourself when you are discriminated against because of your race, your sexuality, your size, your gender. You will hesitate to vote, you will hesitate to dream. For us to have self-esteem is truly an act of revolution and our revolution is long overdue.

I wanted to make a post about Leelah Alcorn but I lack the requisite words to describe how I feel. But this is exactly what it should feel like. Leelahâs death is a heartbreaking tragedy and it should leave everyone speechless. That being said, however, we cannot simply sit back and mourn her by reblogging text posts and saying how messed up this is. In her note, she said that she wanted her death to mean something. So please, help her rest in peace by helping all you can and adding resources you find below. We can make a change. You matter.
