Taiyaki 😋

Taiyaki is a popular Japanese street food that is a fish-shaped cake made from a waffle or pancake-like batter. Traditionally filled with sweet red bean paste (anko), it is now available with a variety of fillings like chocolate, custard, and matcha. The name "taiyaki" comes from "tai" (sea bream) and "yaki" (to bake or grill), but the snack does not contain any fish.

This is the largest TeamLabs location which includes a Future Park.

Loved shopping at the Travelers Factory store in Kyoto, Japan inside the Ace Hotel shopping area. The courtyard is full of greenery and simply gorgeous. The stores and restaurants are, in general, very high end. I enjoyed being in that space so much - the natural colors, the glass, the combination of the indoor and outdoor space 🤗 I could stay here all day!

I bought the 2026 weekly planner and some other accessories. It was so nice to buy my planner in person instead of having it shipped from overseas.

The highlight, however, was stopping at the stamping station to get a lot of brand new stamps for my passport size notebook. I also bought the Kyoto insert and the brass tag that says Japan and has an illustration of Mount Fuji. I’ll be using this insert to document my trip.

Lots of packing packing packing 👜 - got my hair done! 💇‍♀️ Saw my family before I left. I have two suitcases and a personal item bag called a Bento bag. 🍱 My parents and the family dog dropped me off at the airport early this morning. 🥰

Had an overpriced breakfast sandwich at the airport 🛩️- the bacon was actually really good. Trying not to drink coffee because I’m using the Timeshifter app for advice to adjust to the time zone. I can’t have caffeine until 6 pm!! 🥲☕️
