So Dallas is winning, Azzi is playing well, the ladies look happy on and off the court, they’ve been filmed interacting at practices, there was a whole segment about them complete with photos and videos of them making heart eyes at each other that reminded us how long they’ve been together and it’s been proven that they are (obviously for normal ppl) spending time together when they aren’t at practice and have been since the beginning. Just being normal girlfriends doing normal girlfriend stuff like they’ve been doing for years - so I just knew the trolls were going to be out in full force 😂😂 These ppl are so predictable. Anytime I see a video or picture of them being cutesy I know these folks start chomping at the bit. Also Paige a whole troll cause bro we know she answers your calls and your texts. Folks stay too deep into the business of two athletes they don’t know and also two people who were outed against their will and victims of a crime. The lack of empathy for them is sick tbh. The way people talk about Paige and Azzi and their relationship and their need and want for privacy can be very gross. They don’t owe anyone anything and honestly have given everyone more than enough. They told ppl they were together and drop “crumbs” ie live a life of being in a relationship - all the time. They should not have to perform a relationship for the public when they’ve been in one since before ppl were on here making up bullshit timelines and narratives that ppl were gullible enough to believe. Ppl believe trolls and random accounts before they believe Paige and Azzi themselves and their own eyes. Logical thinking and EI is severely lacking with ppl.

There is TONS of proof that they live their lives in a normal relationship that they keep out of the public eye and I’m not sure why people are expecting anything more than that from them. Like P said them being in a relationship might be new to others but they’ve been doing it for a long ass time. The entitlement of the constant petting of fears for strangers is too much.

Was at the game. So sad I didn’t get to see Azzi play. That game was annoying and frustrating. I have so many thoughts but I’m gonna keep them in the gc. Trying to stay positive especially after the train wreck that was last season with a new coach. I’m hoping lessons get learned and changes are implemented. It’s still early and the season is long.

I will say Dallas fans love Azzi. She had so many jerseys and people wearing her merch there. I conversed with a lot of other Azzi fans. Ppl are very excited to have her on the team and in Dallas.

Azzi looked amazing. Just seeing her on the bench and on the jumbo screen and hyping up her teammates was so surreal. Can’t believe she’s in the league. She’s come so far. So glad her family and friends got to come and support her. Seeing KK actually made me emotional ngl.

Also what tf is going on with the Ashanti hate. My friend sent me some tweets and it seems like all she did was tell someone they were right about her saying your heart is there to Azzi not necessarily meaning Paige? I don’t follow her because personally I don’t follow anyone but players - no friends or family or partners. But seeing ppl come for her - folks are really losing the plot on socials.

Also fuck the dudes in that after show thing. Saw Azzi made a little appearance but those pos have talked so badly about her. I hate that she has to smile and converse with them.

But I’m not worried about Azzi though. She’s gonna be amazing and shut all the haters up like she always does.

First and foremost I’m not here to tell anyone how to feel. I’m sharing my opinion which is that overacting like this over ONE game is a choice. Canceling jersey orders, selling tickets getting mad at Paige, Jose and Curt… All because Azzi (a ROOKIE) wasn’t utilized the way you think she should’ve been? Let me explain something. The situation Azzi walked into is very different than Paige. So if you’re expecting her season to go the way Paige’s did you’re gonna be disappointed. And I’m not talking in terms of stats or talent. Because we know what Azzi is capable of. This is me reminding you that Paige was quite literally MISERABLE last season. She had no vets, no coach, no help and was being run to the ground after playing a long college season. Why on earth would you want Azzi to experience that? Azzi doesn’t have anything to prove to anyone. So wanting her to have certain stats just to prove people wrong about their irrelevant opinion of her is a waste of time. Every single rookie in the league has had an adjustment period. Azzi is no different. And if Jose didn’t feel like she was ready for the absolutely insane pressure that comes with playing Indy at home that’s okay. It was her very first professional game. That’s a lot for a rookie to take on. Even our vets were a bit rattled at times in that atmosphere. But at the end of the day Jose has only spoken highly of Azzi. He’s going to push her. And if she’s out there being hesitant he’s going to bench her. She doesn’t look quite comfortable yet and that’s okay. But everyone should be given some grace. I know everyone thinks Azzi needs to be protected and I love how hard y’all ride for her but it gets to a point where it’s doing more harm than good. Azzi spoke about how happy she is on and off the court and every time we see her she’s smiling ear to ear. Maybe take a page out of her book and not make wins feel like losses. That was a huge win for them yesterday and yet socials were more negative than they were for losses last season.

I don’t understand adding on to the online vitriol and giving the haters yet another avenue to be awful towards her but that’s just me. I’m seeing known homophobes quoting huge fan accounts and saying see even they know she’s trash and only got drafted for her gf/Oh they crashing out. And other dumb shit. I leave that shit in the gc. But if ppl want to express that online that’s their right. But EYE don’t think anyone has the right to @ her parents, her teammates, coworkers, coaches and girlfriend saying trade her - yall hate her and are trying to sabotage her career, etc. That crosses so many parasocial lines. Wondering why she didn’t start or get used in a more meaningful way is one thing cause I was pissed at how she wasn’t getting looks but getting in Paige and Jose’s comments and saying I knew you hated her and don’t want her to do well is a whole other thing and I’m not sure why people are pretending that’s not what most people are talking about when they say people are taking things too far. That’s not protecting or advocating for Azzi cause she doesn’t know you but those are her loved ones and coworkers you are harassing. If her mom taking her picture in front of a coworker embarrassed her - finding out her fans are harassing them in their comments probably isn’t going to feel good. Also wanting your favorite player to play her first home game in an empty arena is wild. Some folks just have agendas and online standom and it’s not about Azzi as a person tbh. I’ll be there and I know a lot of her ride or dies will be there as well. I’ve been a fan since seeing her ball out at U16 as the youngest to ever make that team and it’s never gonna change. She’s always been amazing and it’s not gonna stop now.
