Kill Me (Drabble meme, Kai killing Lizzie)

-Leave a “Kill Me” in my ask and I’ll write a drabble about my/your character killing the other. [Specify]

He’d like to say it was an accident. That he didn’t mean to kill the girl he loved, that the knife slipped and that it’s wasn’t his fault. But it was, and Kai knew that perfectly well, just like he knew that he should’ve walked away when the fight started. Should have, could have, would have, he supposed.

God, he didn’t even remember what they were fighting about, but it had been a big fight, and neither of the could walk away until proved right. Well, Kai was in the wrong, some part of him knew that, but he’d be damned if he lost this argument, Kai Parker never lost. He would always win, in everything. He had to.

Maybe that was why, when Lizzie showed some serious chance of winning the argument, Kai grabbed a butcher knife off the counter and pounced, aiming for Lizzie’s chest and getting her chest, driving the knife in with a maniacal laugh of satisfaction, not noticing the blood that spilled onto his hands.

Sure, he heard her cries, but continued twisting the knife, and stabbing anywhere he could reach, until her cries stopped and her body went still. “I told you, you know that I always win. You should’ve walked away, and maybe you’d have lived,” he snarled, pulling out the knife with a harsh exhale.

Then the cloud of rage faded and Kai realized what he’d done. “No…No, no, no…what have I done—” he glanced at the knife in his hand, shining steel stained crimson with the blood of his love, his guardian angel. “I can’t have killed her…” Then he looked down, and scrambled away, screaming.

“I’m a monster! I killed her! Somebody help!”

Why didn't she help you Kai? Lizzie was there for you through your childhood but she wasn't there for you when you needed her most. How do you still love her after that?
