i think genuinely one of the worst things that comes out of this community is the intense lovebombing that gets done starting out in a roleplay connection and then after a couple of weeks it’s just radio silence. for someone like me who struggles with trying to gauge whether or not i’m being annoying and the fact that trying to maintain friendships with anxiety, it’s exhausting and really discouraging when people just disappear or seem completely disengaged with you and your character.

one thing i hate about media is how there’s no sort of representation for how badly friendship break ups fuck you up. like there are a million and one films about romantic break ups but i have yet to see a film or television show that accurately depicts how difficult friendships falling apart can be and how that stuff can really leave you with wounds and behaviors that take ages to heal
