Abel doodles #3
11/01/2025: "Why Lute, Why"
In case the words aren't that legible:
Adam: LUTE WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU DO THIS YOU CRAZY BITCH?!? WAS BREAKING ALL MY SHIT REALLY FUCKING NECESSARY?! HOLY SHIT!!! THESE WERE CUSTOM MADE-
Abel: Hey, Dad, for the record? I did try to save at least one but... you know.
Lute: Shut up, Abel.
he's crying under that mask
If Adam was a ghost and not just Lute's hallucination, I'm willing to bet he would NOT be happy about her breaking practically everything in his office, especially those guitars
I know you're grieving girl but, oml what the guitars and the vinyls do😭😭
I absolutely ADORE this scene so much, not just because it adds so much to Vox's relationship with Alastor, but also shows how Alastor shaped Vox into the person he became.
If you've been paying close attention, you've noticed that Vox has a tendency to put himself above Valentino and Velvette, and we've always chalked that up to just good ol' fashioned narcissism. But as we see here, Vox's self-centeredness isn't simply because he's egomaniacal but also because it's rooted in his obsessive desire to prove his old business partner wrong!!!!!
Remember back in Season 1, during the song Stayed Gone, how Alastor taunted Vox for being "powerless without the other Vees"? He wasn't just damaging Vox's pride, he was reopening an old wound that he left in said pride, telling him that even after all of this times, he still considers Vox to be beneath him because he relies on the Vees!
Vox may not act like he cares about what he says, but he does! And that's what makes his situation so intriguing! Because he wants to show Alastor that he's better than him in every way and take credit for everything he's accomplished, and yet, he still needs to rely upon his partners and acknowledge their contributions despite knowing it would only prove that Alastor's still right about him.
i love the foreshadowing here. Alastor always paid close attention to Vox's touch. He knows Vox is a touchy person.
He accepted Vox's touches when they were friends even though he wasn't fond of them cause he trusted him. But since their friendship ended he has had to endure unwanted touches from him since.
He finally was able to let out his anger. Finally able to call Vox out. Vox is a creep who touches who he wants when he wants. The memories of the innocent touches are way less now compared to the negative ones.
Call me crazy but the way Pentious reacts to the letter from Cherri
