Once More
ââŚChloe?â he asked softly as his right hand laced with herâs, taking a firm protective hold.Â
Those were the same eyesâŚThe same ones that stole his heart and made the world seem brighter than he had known it to be. Chloe had been his everything after she had helped free him from torture. They had found comfort and safety in one another. Yet fate was cruel and she was taken from him. Though here she wasâŚor in someway she was. She looked similar to that of his Chloe but it had been so many years and his memory was poor. Maybe he was hallucinating, wanting things that arenât really there.
But his heart ached for it to be true. That the woman who just touched his cheek so tenderly was in fact his love from long ago. In someway. they were supposed to find one another.
Sarah hadnât woke up for the rest of t of the day and it was in the morning the following day her body decided it was finally time to get up. Â Â She awoke exhausted. Â There was the man she kept seeing his face everywheree and she didnât know why. Â She didnât know why then she wanted to cuddle into his embrace and never stop.
However instinct told her what she needed to know and she wasnât very good at listening to it lately if ever. Â Â âW--Where am I?â She called out to the first figure her eyes saw regardless. Â Â âWhere are my folks?â
Once More
Aurelius had been hunting down hell hounds for the last two years, slowly cutting down each member with time and cunning. This pack that he hunted, thought it funny to infect any human who crossed their path. These men knew full well what they were doing to the humans. Never giving a second thought about what would happen to them. Most perished after being bitten so Aurelius and his fighters did all they could to stop this pack of vial creatures.Â
On one particular evening of hunting, Aurelius corned three of the last hell hounds, who were standing over another one of their victims. A gorgeous female who did not deserve this fate, she looked as if she had been clawed at and cut very deeply as well as knocked out. His blood boiled in his system at the sight of an innocent hurt. His teeth sharpened and his claws extended as a hateful snarl escaped his lips. He brought each of these demons down in a quick but brutal attack. There was no chance in hell or on earth that those hell hounds would have been able to take down an ancient alpha such as himself.Â
He hastened to the ladyâs side and gently lifted her up in to his arms. A faint heart beat could still be heard thumping in her chest. There was a chance that she may not have been injured to the degree that the other humans had been. âYouâll live, I promise.â He said in a hushed tone as he took her to his pack healer. The ladyâs injuries were cared for upon arrival back at the estate. She was tucked into a warm bed and given her own room to recover and wake up. That is if she ever did.Â
Aurelius knew it was a long shot for her to live but he wanted just one of the victims to live. He sat at her bedside and patiently waited for her to return to consciousness.Â
Sarah had been trying to get home that night, walking with her two older brothers and on the way to their home--all be it temporary one as it was a vacation, they had been at attacked by monsters. Â Â Sarah may have gotten away. Â However it didnât work that way.
There was just pain, death, and blood and something in the dark, a promise.  Many promises that night.  Sarah would awake to the sounds  of a soft breeze and breathing.   She wasnât even sure what caused her to wake.  Only she was staring as much as she could at that point at into a pair of blue eyes and weakly Sarah reached up cup his cheek with her palm.
However, her strength was low and her hand dropped and she fell from the world of consciousness. Â Â She had said nothing.
