Dream Creatures
Photographer Elido Turco photographs trees while taking a walk in the woods, then mirrors them when he gets home. This gives the trees an eerie tree spirit look. In the link above, you can view a few dozen more of his photographs. They are magical

Qalupalik
From Inuit mythology, Qalupaliks are water beings who live under the ice. They look like humans but they have long hair with green skin, long fingernails and green skin. They wear an amautit, which is a form of pouch that Inuit parents wear to carry children so they can take away children/babies that misbehave.
According to the myth, there is no way to get your child back once a Qalupalik takes it, but they make a distinct humming sound before they appear.

Fata Morgna
A Superior Mirage that comes from the Italian term named after the Arthurian sorceress Morgan le Fay, from a belief that these mirages, often seen in the Strait of Messina, were fairy castles in the air or false land created by her witchcraft to lure sailors to their deaths. It’s also believed that this illusion caused the myth of The Flying Dutchman to emerge.

I kinda like the idea of turning my eating disorder journal (not recovery focused at all) into a devotional journal for Artemis. Rip out the pages full of hurtful stuff and fill it with something that'll help bring me peace instead of harm me. It's a nice journal and I think of her when I see the cover... But I also feel like she deserves better than a journal with a handful of pages ripped. Not that I can afford a new one.
I can assure you, Artemis doesn't care about the handful of pages ripped.
If you were to think in terms of what gods "deserve", then, well, we mortals don't deserve them.
So don't think of it that way. I guarantee, that journal of your heart and filled with your soul will make Artemis happier than a fancy expensive brand new one.

How many ancestral hexes were woven into the fabric of people’s families because someone said “you’re a _____, we do ______” and it kept being affirmed time and again?
