@the-alexander-carrow
It’s nice to know that the dress looks nice. My cousin is absolutely bonkers but I love her and how can I say no when she basically didn’t give me the option anyways? You look nice.
Your cousin? Whoever she is, do congratulate her on a job well-done. But I am certain you could easily make this excellent choice on your own as well. And thank you. I do hope I am not overdressed for the occasion.
"I don’t need protecting."
He looked at her incredulously with a slight smirk playing on his lips. It was amusing how stubborn she could be when it came to her ability to protect herself. He had to remind himself not to go too sarcastic on her as it would only serve to infuriate her further and that never did anyone justice. But even though he tried, Alexander could not be anything but sarcastic so he just asked “Care to explain why the guy I just killed had his wand pressed to your throat then?”
"Please! I can’t die knowing that you hate me!"
The audacity of this girl was just… He could not possibly describe it. Was she trying to commit suicide? But no, he couldn’t kill her. Even though he had to and he could, it was impossible for him to do it. And she knew it. This is why she was here - to use his weakness against him. “Why is that whole show for, Dominique? You’ve got what you wanted - we divorced. So what else do you want from me? To be friends? I’m not that much of a loser, I’m sorry.”
"It’s okay to be afraid."
"I… I am not afraid!”, he repeated but it sounded much less convincing than intended. Maybe it was due to him visibly shaking or maybe it was due to the horrified look plastered on his face but even he did not believe in the words anymore. How could Amycus terrify him like that even after all those years? The man was dead, Alexander knew it - he had killed him - yet the young man still held on to the hand she had placed on his shoulder, shaking. “Would you mind… staying for a while? Not too long. Only… a while.”

send me one of the following and i’ll write a little something from my character to yours inspired by the phrase
“Reality sucks.” "What’s going on? What is this?" "Why the hell are you here?" "I got myself arrested.” "Stay put if you want to live." "Please! I can’t die knowing that you hate me!" "Stop! The air could be toxic." "What the hell are you wearing?" "I haven’t seen my brother in over a year." "We’re back, bitches!” "Why so serious, princess?" "You don’t like being called princess, do you princess?" "They got a bar in this town? I’ll buy you a beer.” "You think you’re in charge here?" "How long do you think we’ll last without those supplies?" "If we want to get there before dark, we need to leave. Now." "How about you wait until it’s a fair fight?” "Rescue me next." "He’s a criminal." "I don’t need protecting." "I am done following orders.” "I need to just, do something crazy, just because I can. And no one, including you, is gonna stop me." "You have to trust me. You do still trust me, don’t you?" "Do you want the people you love to think you’re dead?" "You shouldn’t have come here.” "That my friend, is game." “Hey, would you try to keep up?” "Maybe we’ve already been exposed to enough radiation to kill us." "I’ve apologized like a thousand times." "If we’re gonna kill hundreds of innocent people, we’re gonna do it by the book. Is that clear?” "If you’re gonna kill someone it’s probably best not to announce it." "You got a point?" "Please let me be right." "So that was the secret they locked you up to keep?" "They’re gonna kill more people, aren’t they?” "You don’t mean that." "You have to warn them." "Take off your damn clothes." "Get out of the water — get out of the water now!" "It looks like you’re trying to get us all killed." "We can take care of ourselves, can’t we?” "I don’t care what he tells you." "Whatever the hell you want." "We always have a choice.” "Pretty cool, huh?" "You call that a sip?" "What do you know? She can laugh." "You read anything about glow in the dark forests, or… man eating snakes?” "Are you out of your mind?" "You can’t just kill everyone who disagrees with you." "You all think I’m the bad guy." "What do you want me to say? I’m sorry? I’m not.” "Please… show mercy." "I don’t wanna shoot you, hell… I like you." "Why aren’t you helping me?" "Aren’t you tired of always doing what’s expected of you?” "No. Never. Not gonna happen. Is that clear enough for you?" “I’m sorry it had to be this way.” "I’ll deal with you later." "You wanted to go first. Now quit stalling." "I knew there was a badass in there somewhere.” "It’s okay to be afraid." "We’re not alone."
Merlin, this dress is uncomfortable.
On the bright side, it compensates by looking splendid.
"Aside from the opportunity to partake in frightening muggles, I am rather uninterested in this plebeian holiday."
"When in Rome do as the Romans do, I've been told. But really, it has certain miniature appeal to it."
"This all seems a bit much for a muggle holiday."
"It is certainly overdone but at least the overall atmosphere of the castle is improving."
Wicked Games || Octavia & Alexander
"Is it odd that I find it appropriate? There’s nothing about the sunset that contains a deep beauty. It’s just what happens. It’s nice to look at admittedly but that’s because I’m a fan of the color pink." she joked. "See I find the ease of me talking about wanting to kill someone soothing like what a sunset is suppose to be…so for us—or at least me, it’s appropriate. She buried one hand in the sand, enjoying the cool feeling against her skin.
"A love interest?" her eyes widened at his question, "well I told those assholes know, that having any emotion for another person in that matter would require to much energy and would give me a weakness…although between us. I’m not even sure, it’d be such an alien feeling." she paused and looked at him, she really looked at him studying his face. "there is this one guy who’s company I enjoy, and the thought of him being with any other woman makes me want to pounce on her and slowly rip out her throat with my bare hands, but that’s another story." she looked away shyly for a moment. "What about you? Did they ask you the same question?" she had glanced up at him under her lashes.
"An interesting take on the subject indeed", he remarked calmly, casting one more glance at the sun that now appeared like sinking inside the ocean. Of course, Alexander could tell what was supposed to be beautiful. It was part of being a gentleman and even remotely intelligent, indeed. However, to him beauty had lost meaning the day he had seen the only thing he regarded as beautiful, and bright, and important tarnished by low disrespect. "Call me a cynic but I believe truth always is a matter of personal perception so you see, things can be two opposites at the same time", he added after some thought. "For example, you and I regard murder as something acceptable on certain terms but for the majority it is inexcusable. And who's to say which side is wrong? Therefore, this sunset is both contradictory as well as appropriate setting for our conversation."
"I apologize if I'm violating your personal space", he said simply upon seeing her eyes widen. However, she did explain what answer she had given and Alexander listened attentively throughout, looking at her calmly even when her eyes tried to see behind his perfectly serene facade. Years upon years of having no option but to lie had granted him the opportunity to be able to hold anyone's gaze with inhuman calmness, no matter what. "A very lucky person he is then. Such a privilege indeed", the boy replied to gentlemanly fill the silence that her pause had caused.
"They did ask, of course, but I'm afraid my answer was far more mundane and deceptive than yours. I explained that the past events have left me no time to develop love affairs but truth be told, I have never regarded myself as capable of any form of affection, let alone love." Besides, it did not fit the concept of his life he had in mind in the slightest. "However, they know none of the latter", the boy added slyly with a hint of belittlement, then continued "I wonder how the audience would react to an unexpected couple though. And more importantly, what would the sponsors do if one such couple appeared out of the blue." Here he made a small pause, contemplating the possibility for a moment. "You see, I'm a man who likes to test, so to speak, people's attitudes. Scientific approach, you may call it." At the last part, he smirked a bit. Science had nothing to do with his twisted mental games.
So do you look at all of your friends as if you'd murder a village of people for them?
"I’m sorry?! Octavia and I are just friends and that is all there is. Besides, I’m not one to kill unless I have to. And merely a village is a tremendous understatement, you know.”
what's going on with you and Octavia?
"What could be going on? We’re just friends althought for some reason I enjoy her company quite a bit more than I usually do.”
Well that was fun, when’s the next challenge?
You suppose I would know the schedule?
Alex and Bethany
He stood there watching the wolf that had just fallen in his trap die and for some reason could not shake off the feeling of guilt about this whole ordeal, something he had never felt before.
Sloppy. He was sloppy. Artemis was clever in her kills, though she was reluctant in doing so. Innocents were the worst, neutrals were who she went for. Holding neutrality in a time of a crisis was a sin in her book, even if she could understand it and it’s reasons, they were the ones who deserved it. You’re being cruel, Artemis. Cruel, and even you have thought about neutrality. Hypocrite. But in the end — what needed to be done, was done. She avoided the Death Eaters, of course, out of the fact that she was forced to because they were her kin. But really, some of them did need to be pruned from the ranks. The DA? She only attempted to avoid ending their lives because their passion was admirable. Apollo.
"Alexander Carrow, you were easy to track as well as easy to spot. I think this location is not the most ideal one for you and I." She commented calmly, nodding over towards the frozen lake. "There’s a cave I know of."
"Perhaps I do not care to hide my tracks?", he suggested cynically, not even bothering to look at her. It was the truth, really. What did he have to lose or hide from anymore? The images below the ice had made him realize all that. And even more to that, if anyone was idiotic enough to come at him, he now had an arsenal of weapons to end them thanks to Octavia's generous help. Admittedly, he would've finished his mission help or not but there was some unexpected appeal in working with her that he couldn't quite put his finger on. And while the sensation was not half-bad at the time, it bothered him now because he could not afford to let anyone in. Not so long as he had a mission to accomplish. He had to keep the promise. That was all that mattered.
“Then relocate”, he replied matter-of-factly upon her last remark with a non-chalant shrug.Really, why did people assume he needed help? It wasn’t like he was a helpless child. Merlin, he was a damn murderer yet they thought him helpless. It literally made no sense.
However, after a moment of thought, Alexander added “Is it important?”
Jane blinked a few times. Blinked because she had never thought of herself as naive but did what she say make her sound so? After everything that had happened, her sweet naivety was gone, the essence tarnished by torture. It didn’t make her cold, it made her kinder, if that was even possible. He said his family wasn’t there, but she distinctly heard the name Athena. She did, and she wouldn’t give up. It didn’t matter who he was, or what he had done, not in her mind. Not the tie he wore, because her brother wore the same, but this was who she was. Altruism, it’s what she lived by no matter who it was. He deserved that.
"I care. I do. The only games I play are Wizard Chess, occasionally other but — Athena? I met her. After her — your — mother passed away. She was kind. I’m sorry about her. I never really knew her, Athena, but I’m sorry for your loss, don’t step on the ice."
Her tone was earnest, and she was relieved to see him turn around, choosing life instead of death.
"So you're sorry for my loss", he noted in his characteristic tone devoid of any emotion. And did the fact she was sorry change anything? Would it give him Athena back? The answer to those questions dictated his entire mindset. He did not care who was sorry and who was not, the entire Order would pay him regardless. So what if they denounced him a monster? It was not him who set the ball rolling and were they wise, they would blame the culprit, not him, but even if they did hold him accountible, Alexander did not care.
"Don't worry, I don't intend to kill myself", he retorted with a dark sneer. "No, no, no, that would make it too easy on you lot and we can't have that, now can we?" It was not that easy to get rid of him, not now, not until he had destroyed the enemy. If they wanted him dead, they'd have to kill him themselves and that would be a much greater ordeal than anticipated.
But still, there was something about her tone, something so... innocent that he had to turn around and look at her. In her eyes he saw that she was not making fun of him, at least not visibly. "What is your game then?", he asked calmly, still looking at her. "What is this theater for? What is your gain?"
Wicked Games || Octavia & Alexander
She cleared her throat and sat down in the sand, gesturing for him to sit down as well. “Well, it depends on the person or persons. We could do both at the same time. But seeing as how I’m just supposed to help you I’m not sure if that constitutes as me being able to kill someone and it count as one of yours.” She paused for a moment watching the sun rise, it’s natural beauty made her smile instantly. Realizing how long of a pause she must have taken, grateful that Alex was such a gentlemen she continued. “But I am a person that loves getting her hands dirty. So once you pick your mark I’ll know what I’ll do to them and then giving you the satisfaction of the final blow!”
Merlin knows how thankful she was for having someone that she could just talk to easily. She didn’t have to sugar coat or soften herself or even try to not intimidate him, The young Carrow just accepted her for her which was amazing. Although another foggy feeling was beginning to stir up. She couldn’t place her finger on what it was so she just pushed it to the back of her mind and carried on the conversation, that to most people would have been categorized as cruel or sadistic.
He followed her lead and sat next to her on the sand. "Well, as far as I can predict, I don't think it would count for either of us", he agreed, a bit confused by her sudden pause. After a few seconds, he looked up to her and saw her smiling, which furthered his bewilderment so he traced her gaze with his. It then dawned on him what the reason behind her behavior was - the beauty of the setting sun. True, it was beautiful but it was a sort of hollow, empty beauty in Alexander's opinion. The last rays of the sun touched his face but never his soul because maybe he did not have a soul at all but it did not matter.
Politely, he waited for her to return to the conversation. "Perfectly suitable indeed", he agreed with a small smirk. "The setting is quite contradictory to the topic, by the way", he observed in amusement, casting another galnce at the sun. Its rays made the ocean appear all imaginable tints of orange and yellow instead of blue. It was quite romantic, some may say, and this gave Alexander an idea. "Were you asked at the interview if you have a love interest? The host slipped in the sponsors were heavily invested in those type of sappy matters."
