Hi!!! This is a Flight Rising sideblog :)

My main is @dragons-riptide! I follow and interact from there Call me Elijah or Prince :) I use he/they/dra pronouns and am dragongender/dragonkin

My Flight Rising account is trinalAcute I am very critical of the game despite playing it, mostly caused by its many accessibility problems (I have bad arthritis and undiagnosed arm pain) and an unfair ban I suffered in the summer of 2023 on a 4 years old account for mistakes just as old.

Clan lore is still WIP but I'd LOVE to be asked questions about my dragons :)

"do u not want them to give to charity"

No one said that and here's how they can both give to charity and don't paywall and fomo a fam:

Don't make the familiar retire after the charity drive is done. Just put it in g mp or chests or smth. Giving to charity just means you'll get it first and you don't get punished by not giving which is the point of a charity.

Make it so it's a site wide reward if the charity hits a certain threshold. This would legit motivate me to give more than the current situation.

Don't lock anything behind the charity and use gem sales for charity instead.

Hi!!! I hope you feel better soon :) Here's my current proudest achievement

This is Lillith! an XYY Royal/Spearmint, fandragon of one of my OCs, that I have been trying to hatch for SO LONG and finally the pair I bought for her gave me the girlie I was looking for

She was born a guardian and she will soon get Toxin (like later this week I have all mats I'm just busy brewing fest skins) and Wish (WAY LATER I am poor) ((put all my gems into getting Swirl and the breed change lol))

I don't know what I'll do with her parents now that they are of no use to me, as I don't have an attachment to them and HONESTLY I kinda want them out of my lair lol I think I'll let feels settle (would not like it if they just got yeeted away ) and then decide if I wanna sell them/give them away

If anyone is interested they have a pretty nice color range of purple prim with greens sec/terts

staff seems pretty happy with the fathom wing? sure they may end up changing it again because everyone is crying but if they didn't, so what? if it looks the way they intended and they've reviewed it and determined that yeah, this is how they want it to look, maybe it's time to accept that you rushed into your project (as you're always warned not to for the first couple months of a breed release), ended up with a dragon you don't like, and now it's time to either try and salvage it or get rid of it. Yeah it sucks! But this is pixel dragons. You'll be ok. Maybe you'll even like it if you breedchange it. Or if you wanna wait longer to see if they change it back, focus on a different project. It's just pixel dragons. You'll be ok

All of the gene "bugs" that staff just comes down to say "WEHH WEHH ITS A CHOICE ACTUALLY THAT ON THIS BREED IT LOOKS LIKE SHIT" would feel so less whiny and "ackshually" if they just RAN POLLS.

Imagine. Between site news and the random dragon widget on front page, a little poll

"Do you think [GENE] on [BREED] should be changed [Click here to see the gene in the scrying workshop]"

Maybe it has a vote button, where it links to a post explaining why people think it should be changed

Maybe its just a yes/no or maybe its more nuanced like "yes because its inconsistent" "yes because its not pretty"

and then it lasts for a few days, maybe 5/7 to make sure a lot of people see it and vote

and boom. Staff has a nice idea of what their players want, and if "no dont change it" is the majority then players like me, that submit really inconsistent genes to bug forums, feel more like the community agreed its ok, rather than THE MOD ON THEIR HIGH THRONE OF POWER HAS DENIED YOUR REQUEST.
