EMERGENCY COMMISSIONS

As you might know my father and I are being evicted on Oct 1 (originally much sooner but we negotiated until October)

We have finally gotten the first steps done in securing an apartment, but we needed first, last, and security. As we are both disabled and can’t work, we live on a fixed income that could not cover that $3,000. We asked the family church for financial assistance with a pay back schedule, and they will not help with anything except for food.

We drove to the apartment in MA and they agreed we can pay the balance on the 15th of September.

TLDR; We need at least $1,300 in the next week to move into an apartment and not be evicted. Dad is trying very hard with his online ebay store and I need to do my part which is commissions.

BUSTS: Style 1: $20 + 10 per additional character Style 2: $10 + 7 per additional character.

SHEETS: 4-5 drawings: $40. 5-6 drawings: $50. (I will probably allow additional slots if you ask)

Is there any updates on the housing situation?

hey sorry for replying so late, I hardly check my main anymore and it didn’t even notify me that I had new asks….but I also apologize for not making a formal update, I edited the original post and ranted but here’s what went down:

Dad tried getting lawyers and everything was failing/wouldn’t be heard in court so the last resort was to basically beg the landlord to give us more time. He’s a weird guy and changes his mind a lot, but in this case it bought us time; he agreed to let us stay until September 1st and then he would file the eviction again.

Problem is, we still don’t have the moving money - this is why I appreciate everyone’s donations so much. Getting through the month just buying food and gas and whatnot is so hard so at the end our social security check doesn’t leave us enough for a truck, down payment, first month rent etc. So even though we bought a month or so, we are still in a rush to get said money together.

okay I thought this shit couldnt get worse but it just did

our landlord has been trying to evict us and just put the last nail in the coffin. dad and i are both physically disabled and mentally ill, and we are stuck on the fixed income from social security after my mom passed away last year. 

despite this, we have paid rent, and the landlord’s complaint is over a check of $150 that he couldn’t cash–due to timing at the bank, and when we received our monthly social security payment. he also heavily dislikes us, for some personal reason i don’t understand. 

this guy has filed for eviction 4 times, and has stolen the mail by telling us the mailbox was broken so that he could keep the key (albeit a stupid mistake on our part for not realizing sooner). my father thus was never allowed a day in court to defend us, because he did not even get the paperwork stating he had to be in court OR that we were being evicted until a month later!

we thought we could file an injunction or stay of execution, but this afternoon (Saturday, July 29) documents from the state were stamped to the door notifying us we must be out by 7:30 am on Tuesday, Aug 1.

It’s a weekend. eviction help, relocation, the court, etc, nothing is open. we have effectively one day (Monday) to try and stop this but have to juggle packing our valuables and whatever we don’t want to lose. we are hoping relatives will let us stay with them. regardless, we are…thoroughly screwed for the time being.

TLDR; My father and I are being evicted due to a sleazy landlord, and have to be out by August 1st (Eviction Notice, blurred out our addresses and names) 

We are disabled and have no other income than the base social security monthly, which would not be enough to get us into a new apartment alone.

QUICK SUMMER (slightly emergency) COMMISSIONS

Hey, I know I made a commission post not too long ago but I unfortunately had to raise my prices as my situation became more urgent and I do not have as much free time as I did before the start of summer. 

My dad has been getting $200-$300 deducted out of our sole source of income, social security, every month. This means that after paying the rent, we have virtually nothing. We are on food stamps but those only go so far and run out by the middle of the month. My phone has been shut off and I may lose all the personal information, including photos of my late mother, and other sensitive content if I don’t pay my bill soon - which I have no way of doing right now. My father and I are both disabled and unable to work, this is why our sole source of income is SS.

I will draw pretty much anything except for NSFW and mecha. I can try to draw furries, but it may not come out well, so I wouldn’t recommend asking me to.

Please consider commissioning me, it will help my father and I out tremendously with every day expenses and simply getting by comfortably instead of constantly stressing.

ACTUAL EMERGENCY UPDATE

We just received several letters, late in the mail, that said our landlord issued an eviction notice for us and that a marshal served us the papers for our court date in May. We never received ANY such papers, and thus did not get a day in court to debate this--we are paying rent, and have, regularly since we moved in March. There is no reason or this other than the fact the landlord strongly dislikes my father and aunt, and made up stories to get us thrown out. 

Normally, if we were to be allowed a day in court to resolve this, we would win. But the problem is we might not get that opportunity now that the court date, which we were not informed of, has passed. I honestly don’t know what’s going to happen. I don’t know what to do. But I do know that our current income, when you deduct bills and the like, is not enough to allow us to move again any time soon if we were to be evicted. 

TLDR; We may be evicted, I’m hoping not. This means we could use the commissions and donations more now than ever, but also, my turnaround time may be longer (around 2-4 weeks).
