Finished this and the paper I had to write for my Bioethics class. I was a little hesitant at first but after reading it I would highly encourage reading this book. So I'm finally back from two weeks of training for my job. I spent the first week in Houston, TX and this last week in Orlando, FL. Before I started this traveling I was down to 243.8. I weighed myself this morning and I came in at 246.2. Honestly I'm relieved. I knew I was going to come in heavier than I was when I left, but it could have been worse. I cheated a little here and there but for the most part I tried to watch what I ate. I only had one soda (after not having any for a month I was surprised at how I even enjoyed them in the first place), I had maybe 5 cookies total, and I had a salad with almost every meal (the final week they provided a salad with every lunch so I made sure to get some each time). The reason I am okay with this is the old me would have take every opportunity to be a glutton and pig out. I'm happy to see I'm taking these changes seriously. It helps knowing my wife, grumpybobbles, is supporting me. Since her bypass surgery she has lost 40 lbs and her motivation to becoming a healthier self and a healthier family definitely helps to keep me going. We have a 5k coming up at the end of May and we need to start training so hopefully I'll be down into the 230s by then, at least that's my goal.

So I've been meaning to get a photo of this on here for the past week, but I finally got it up here. My amazing wife, grumpybobbles, decided to make me and her some victory goals. I'm only 3.8 pounds away from the first one! Hopefully my upcoming trips to Houston and Orlando don't set me back. I know I can do it because I've got my super awesome wife who's proud of me back home and I know I can do it!

A few months ago this would have been the Meatball Marinara on Italian Herb and Cheese with a large Coke. Now I'm going Sweet Onion Chicken on 9 grain oat with a tea. Oh how things change!

Most of my make up has worn off and I’ve got a mascara smudge below my eye but my hair is 🙌 still.

It was nice to have my signature “I-do-not-give-shit” confidence back on today. It’s been a while.

The Mid-Week Update!

So things are going good! My wife has lost around 22 pounds since starting her liquid diet (about 11 since her surgery last Tuesday)! I've also lost 11 pounds since cutting out soda, candy, and upping my protein! I still need to start working out though. I think I'd lose my gut a little faster. But I am so proud of my wife (and apparently my son is proud of his sour smell 😖) with all of the progress she had made! But just a forewarning for anyone who is going to start this type of surgery, it is FAR from easy. Stay tuned for some more updates later on the same bk-channel....
