The Black Mesa Research Facility rests within the New Mexico desert. Some argue if it’s a real research facility since the main focus behind its tests and experiments is the fourteen entities of fear that affect our world. One of these tests goes wrong and five employees are stuck fighting for their lives as they make their way through the facility.

What are the H.E.V. logs?
The HEV logs are written and audio logs meant to be taken during failed experiments to document the situation and report any findings. A certain being has hijacked these and made it so your messages come through instead. These messages come from any point in time and from anywhere, but please no meta gaming. We wouldn’t want spoilers no do we?
What can be asked?
Anything, within a limit. This is a plot based blog so there will be some guiding if the asks gets too off track or aren’t progressing the story. Nothing sexual or nsfw of that nature as, while the characters are grown adults, the admin is not and is not comfortable with those things (stuff like the dickslip jokes are okay) If I find an ask that makes me uncomfortable or does not add to the story in any way, a certain entity will make the log with your message illegible and the audio corrupt. Aka, I’ll delete it.
No magic anons! You guys can not control the actions of the characters. You can nudge them and guide them to do things, but that’s it.
Reminder:
This is based off a horror podcast and will have some horror elements. These will include gore, body horror, character death, heavy injury, etc. if any of these things bother you, please be cautious. Everything will be tagged appropriately.
This does take place at the same time as the Magnus Archives, but in a slightly different universe where everything happened late 2020 and not 2018. Some characters from the podcast may be mentioned, but otherwise this is its own separate story and will have no crossover with the canon story.
Characters may not interact directly with you at first, you are just a piece of paper or a recording to them after all. But don’t be discouraged, if you talk enough, they might start to recognize your voice or handwriting. They even might start to realize what you really are.
