Oh god idek where to start

They're schoolmates and when they first meet Dia is in 11th grade and Hanga is in 10th. They meet at the farsang party where Dia just broke up with her bf, Peti, and Hanga just broke up with her two besties, and they both find themselves crying in the bathroom. It's very much Dia adopting Hanga into her friend group, they form a trio with Dia's childhood best friend, Maja(Peti's cousin), and they're part of a larger group, the school's choir/band. Both of those cliques, Dia's social standing is pretty high, she's a bit of an overbearing friend, she has pretty ironclad opinions and is quick to push them onto others.

The story itself (Ekho) takes place during their choir/band/zenekar summercamp, so August of the same year that they met. Hanga is very thrilled about having a normal group of friends for a change. A little less thrilled about the drama with Dia and Peti and Maja because yes Peti is still part of the zenekar.

For Dia, pride is really important, she has the cockiness of a teen who got fairly popular pretty fast after being a "weird kid". Hanga's thing is understanding, that's what she craves so she tries her best to extend it to other people, to the point that she might neglect her own values and kinda be a doormat. It takes a lot for her to stand up for herself.

At the summercamp, a bunch of paranormal shenanigans ensue, and the four of them (Hanga, Dia, Maja and Peti) are thrust into situations where they're forced to confront their innenmost thoughts and feelings and all that good shit. Hanga finds herself drawn to hearing Peti's side of the drama, and obviously Dia won't be too jazzed about that when she finds out.
