That First Step Into the Next Level of Social Media

So, I know i mentioned before that I've been meaning to start a vlog and the only reason I haven't yet is because I don't know what to vlog about and also because I'm feeling a little shy. To take my first step into that and loosen my nerves, I started posting #instastories on mg IG (mrspaulamiranda)

I think I've figured out what I wanna do for my first vlog but I wish I had a gyro so I'd have steady shots.

Oh man, can't wait until I can have time to de-stress. I miss Bag of Beans! I've been a frequent customer before their expansions, buffets and popularity. I remember my usual orders. A big serving of lasagna, or, Mr. Beans. That was what their burger was called. I loved that it was homemade and you can taste how fresh the meat and ingredients were. Especially when you eat the fries with their ketchup that tasted like banana and tomato ketchup combined.🤣 For dessert, I would order this. Always. Their apple pie.❤ The crust was beautiful and the warm, rich, cinnamon and apple filling went so well with the delightful vanilla ice cream. About Working From Home (WFH)

Since I started working for a property management and real estate company, I have had the very rare opportinity and privilege to work from home. It’s 2 days a week and it’s somewhat bittersweet. Do note though that I am still without child and if I had any, this list and my perspective would be different.

First of all, the Pros:

1. Chromecast I’m the kind of person that has to have my earphones on almost all the time. It could be so that no one talks to me and also because hearing music or anything in the background makes me more productive. At the office, I can connect to their wifi and go on spotify or on Youtube and watch horror movies. They block out Netflix so when I’m home, I’m on my wifi and go on Netflix and surf. Perfect!

2. Saves Money When you stay at home, you have time to cook your own food. if you don’t have time, you can scavange inside your fridge and look for something to eat. No fast food, no expensive coffee (also, unlimited coffee!), no unnecessary snacking, Transpo isn’t included in my case because we have a motorcycle.

3. Pajamas All Day! Admit it. it’s not every day that you want to wake up, take a shower and get made up for the day. Sometimes, yo just want to stay in your jammies all day with a hot cup of coffee. It just works better that way. You can lie on your belly or do an indian sit position while working on your laptop. You can blast mumsic and sing along to the top of your lungs and no co-worker will tell on you to HR. and, you can eat while working on your bed without having to worry about your food stinking up the place. If that isn’t freedom, I don’t know what is.

4. I Can Run Quick Errands Okay, this isn’t illegal or breaching any contract or whatever. We can run errands like go to the market or pay bills or file for legal documents. It’s a very, very, nice perk especially since government offices are only open on week days. What’s important is we log in 8 hours. within our flexi shift. Cool.

Now, the Cons:

1. The Garing Chores Because you will be staying at home, cook your food and all that, you would still have to do the dishes and clean up after yourself. Not that you won’t do that when you bring lunch to work but for someone like me, I will also see the dirty laundry, the bathroom tiles that want to be scrubbed, the clothes that need folding and any other little detail. Maybe some of you won’t be bothered by that. But, for someone like me who is also really busy on weekends, I prefer to multi task. It also gives us atleast a little more time to enjoy the weekend since I’ve done the chores already

2. Cleaning Up After Someone Else My husband and I are currently living with my parents and whenever I’m working from home, my elder brother and dad are here too. Now, they don’t know how to do any chores at all. AT ALL. Like I have to clean after them. (Yes, this is a patriarchal family) Soo aside from all the work I have to do, I have to do household things as well. Bottomline, It’s even more tiring to be at home. Hopefully we can move out soon. I don’t mind if I had to look after the kids but not when I have to look after people who can do things on their own.

3. Higher Electricity Bill I am a polar bear. I need air conditioning. With the Philippines being a tropical country, it gets really hot in summer. With me staying at home, I would have to turn the AC on all day. If I were in the office, I wouldn’t have to worry about that.

4. Conference Calls Now, this isn’t ALWAYS an issue. It’s only a Con when the internet is acting up. See, it’s not unusual for us in the company to have sudden meetings. It’s a really good thing that we have a landline here and they can call me up instead of me needing to dial-in. If the internet is bad, It’s hard for me to see the shared screen if there was any. other than that every thing is cool.

Looking at my list right now, It’s looking like WFH is a great option and I’m glad this opportunity has been given to me. I hope this option is also available to more people in other companies because I would think it would be a win - win situation for both employee and company. Now if you would please excuse me, I’m on work from home right now and it’s about time I get some actual work done! LOL

Happy 4th Anniversary!LOL Well, my seizure disorder started 2 weeks before I went steady on this medication. And so, if it's been 4 years for this one, my mild stroke 4th year anniversary would possibly have been 3 or 4 months ago.

Why do you have more than one Facebook account?

This question came up while I was lazily scrolling through facebook and I had to let out a chuckle. Why DO some people have multiple accounts? The only reason I can think of is if you have too many added friends on one account. But then, you would have to be crazy popular or probably be run a business and have a lot of contacts. I never thought of creating another account because I didn't want to confuse my "friends" on which on I'm really on. Also, who has the time to go through different sets of profiles? Seriously -_-

Whew! 2017!

SO many things have happened and lemme just say that I literally laughed out loud when I saw all the posts I’ve had since I started this blog until I forgot about it. 

What’s the biggest thing that has happened in 2017? well I’m freakin’ married now so that’s one. LOL I also became part of a team that creates and manages events... motorcycle events, that is. I’m practically a Chute now. (CHUbby+cuTE) but I have very solid plans to get back on the boat and hit the gym as well.
