Comic Summary:

Dragons were once believed to be mere myth, but the moment the dead began rising too did these legendary creatures. The dragons began recruiting human survivors for their communities, where the deal is simple: raise livestock and maintain the compound and be protected from the hoards.

In this twisted world, a young doctor and his dragon companion trudge through the broken cities in search of a safe haven.

UPDATE - New project to supplement comic hiatus

Hello everyone, I am here once more to let you all know that I am in the process of creating a fiction podcast / audio drama that is in the same general world as the comic.

Not necessarily a "prequel" due to something I don't want to spoil just yet, but it does take place in a world similar to what this comic's world used to be.

There is a blog dedicated to it over at the-divine-calamity and the first episode is in progress as I speak.

If you guys are interested in a horror podcast / audio drama with LGBTQ+ characters, cosmic horror elements, developed characters and plenty of monsters / dragons: then this podcast is for you!

The life of young private investigator Jack Overland had been a challenging but overall mundane one. He worked in Toronto alongside his uncle, honing his skills under the older man's guidance for multiple years in relative peace.

Though, when a strange package arrives at his office containing a brightly colored stone: his life is thrust into chaos as an amnesiac supernatural being takes over his eyes leaving him blind. Little does Jack know that this was just the beginning of his and his new tentative ally's long journey that would bring them into the path of monsters and gods.

For the past year or so, I've been writing a Roleplay with my dear friend Renn inspired by the amazing podcast "Malevolent." The RP started out as a fun little idea that turned into 126,079 words and counting of raw replies between us both.

And we are now considering editing this RP into a full fledged fanfiction with characters from "Rise of the Guardians" but in a gritty 1930s setting with supernatural creatures and gods beyond human comprehension.

This post is a little test-run to see if there might be some interest in a story such as this.

Hey guys! Long time no talk, I want everyone to know that this project is still on the back burner BUT I may have a different semi-connected project that is technically a fanfiction due to it being co-written by my dear friend.

Update

Hello everyone! I wanted to once again update everyone on the state of the comic / the overall story in general. This comic will be on hiatus for approximately a year's time, BUT I am currently looking into doing some sort of unfiction series on lore attached to this comic and it's world.

At this point I am unsure of the concrete avenue in which this series will play out, I am thinking about having it being mixed-media with things such as videos, short comics (drawn by myself), journal entries from characters and a few other things.

Without spoiling too much, this series will focus and feature some clues to what started the zombie outbreak and the deeper lore behind the world in general.

I want to apologize for the back and forth with this story, this comic is set to continue as decided by both me and the wonderful artist creating the pages. But instead of going completely silent and leaving this story dry of content for that long: I want to experiment in ways I can reliably tell a different section of the story.

Once again: thank you so much to everyone who has stuck around through this chaos of mine. For those interested in this connected but different project I am brewing, please stay tuned as I try to formulate the details and what sort of avenues I want to pursue to tell this tale.

I am debating whether or not I wanna like make a sort of unfiction series on some of my lore. I have been getting so inspired by like analog series online and wanna give something like that a shot

It would likely be told from the perspective of someone without any knowledge of what was going on, and I'm not 100% sure what kind of storytelling I would use in detail: But I do know I wanna treat it as if it was just some random person's blog on here that gradually gets more and more messed up.

This would also open up the story for direct outside interaction, such as through asks to the blog or reblogs if anyone would like to do so :3
