Melus is known at NRC for their eccentric personality. From being weirdly calm during life threatening situations, an odd fascination with biology and surgery, and his total disinterest from those who she deems as 'boring' (to the point they forget Azul exists.)

Faisal is very introverted and anxious, usually hiding out in his room whenever possible. Though he is very wealthy due to being the son of a wealthy architecture company, he is usually only know in reference to his older brother, Yasir. (Aka he's refered to as Yasir's younger brother.)

Another one of Diasomnia's oddities, unlike most of their dorm members, the only reason they dont have a lot of friends is due to the fact he is occupied with school work or preventing Silver from face planting as they are roommmates. He is very touchy on the subject of his UM and refuses to talk about it.

Everett is known by his peers for his feats in his club, as he is one of the fastest runners there. Though by teachers he is known for his abyssmal grades.

Blair vaguely remembers Jamil talking about the owner of the lounge during their time as roommates... something about how that man was infuriating. And awful. And deserved to be put on a pike and roasted.

mostly sea food. . . but sea food is real good. and it's kind of like, real homey. wish they had ratatouille. or any more comfort foods. azul tries too hard. bring back the fall menu. . . . . .

Blair completely oblivious to the slight (major) disruption he caused in Pawny's reality, continues to yap on. "Ramshackle! My room was like, kind of depressing for a bit. Had to clean it!!! Then all my stuff from Noble Bell college was shipped in, so i no longer had to sleep on a plain mattress! Being blanketless sucked."

"I ate at the cafeteria! The food kinda sucked." Blair answers, then pauses. Thats rude. He may be talking to Pawny but he still must have some decorum.... "...I mean, it was unique."

IF HE HAD A BED AND BATH, AND FOOD, THERE'S NOTHING TO COMPLAIN OR WORRY OVER. it is soothing. it should not be soothing. this is why he didn't visit during the last festival ( aside from being cursed. ) hey would have given him thirteen strands of gray hairs and an early death from heart attack. ( either from their bullshit, seeming to lose all braincells when he is there, or because snoops would've shoved a snake in his face again. )

“ the food at the cafeteria is an adjustable palette. ” Hatton quite likes professor carita, so he biasedly assumes that the past three days that the ghosts were cooking. they have no damn taste buds. “ you can request specific dishes to the culinary teacher, professor carita, if you'd like. ” . . . sevens knows the guy would be weak to blair. AND PEOPLE SAID THAT HE NEEDED TO MANAGE HIS ANGER. perhaps fighting the dorm head from when he was in first year would've been great. a good idea. it really wouldn't have been, the guy could kick ass. and the requirement for housewarden is poison brewing. which. he was not good at.

Yasir is painfully dense when it comes to romance. He generally has a good sense on when people are using him or his brother, however.

Oh! Um...I think i'm decent! Though apperently my dormmates think i'm 'unc'? Whatever that means...

Yasir and I grew up together! Hes been my best friend since...gosh, forever! Hes kinda out of touch with reality though....not in an arrogant way!

I think Yasir and Faisal should swap dorms. I mean, look at them!

Haddad Senpai is a bit weak for a third year mage, but i suppose he's more of a utility mage rather than a combat mage.

Ive seen the mini worlds he has in these tiny little bottles.....so cool!!

My elder brother....he likes to visit Scarabia and drag me outside.....

Layla owns a bunch of sparkly clothes. I like her clothes.

Ambrose is a terrible liar. He thinks he's good at hiding his magic, but anyone who pays remotely a bit of attention towards them will realize he's not an ordinary mage.

Ambrose is quite the busy bee! When i see him he's usually carrying Silver back to their dorm or on his knees begging Orev for something....very busy!

Orev stands outside a shop in foothill town, glaring a hole into the glass as he stares at a pair of bedazzled keychains.

He wants them.

He checks his wallet.

He has enough.

He enters the store and looks for the keychains, found them. He is the happiest bird alive, there's one pair left!

He reaches out to grab it and bumps hands with someone.

....

He slowly turns to stare at who dares to grab this shiny.

[Finally, FINALLY a moment away from the dorm! Don’t get Sadiya wrong, she loves the people there, but she needs a break every once in a while!]

[She wasn’t particularly feeling strongly about this shop, until she saw a shiny keychain through the window. Maybe she could get it as a gift for somebody?]

[Well…she was hoping to, at least. Now, things are incredibly awkward, having bumped hands with a stranger.]

“Mm?” [She hums, glancing up.]

[Okay…maybe not a complete stranger. She’s seen this person in classes before.]

“Apologies. Did you want this?” [She asks, knowing fully well he did judging by the look he’s giving her. Oh well.]

Orev is staring dead into her soul with those massive yellow eyes. One would think Sadiya kicked a child instead of touching a keychain with how intently he's staring into her soul....

"Yes.' He answers flatly, looking down at the keychains than back at her.

“…hm. You can have it,” [Sadiya hums, handing it over.] “I’ll just find another one for him…”

“That’s…one way to put it, yes.” [She bows in greeting.] “Sadiya Abadi. Personal companion to Kalim Al-Asim. I’m actually not here for him, though. For myself, really.”

[She straightens up, looking him over once again.] “I believe I’ve seen you around Malleus Draconia?”

Orev nods his head. "Sadly, i am the tag along for Malleus. A dreadfully boring endeavor." He answers bluntly, then holds up the keychains. "...were these going to be a gift for the Asim boy?"

“…no, actually. It was for a friend of mine.” [Sadiya hums, looking at the other keychains.] “Long story. Besides, I was going to get something else for Kalim.”

[She picks up a couple of other keychains and sets them down, then sighs.] “I don’t really know what to get my friend. He’s kinda abrasive at times, but he can be sweet…anyways. That’s beside the point. You wanted that keychain, you can have it.”

....hm. although he had no reason to help this random.....he feels weirdly obligated to. "What does he like to do? Any hobbies?"

Orev tilts his head. Boardgames is a broad catergory. Bird watching however is much more specific....but generally items relating to bird watching is not usually found in a store like this. "What kind of boardgames does your friend like?'

“That’s…one way to put it, yes.” [She bows in greeting.] “Sadiya Abadi. Personal companion to Kalim Al-Asim. I’m actually not here for him, though. For myself, really.”

[She straightens up, looking him over once again.] “I believe I’ve seen you around Malleus Draconia?”

Orev nods his head. "Sadly, i am the tag along for Malleus. A dreadfully boring endeavor." He answers bluntly, then holds up the keychains. "...were these going to be a gift for the Asim boy?"

“…no, actually. It was for a friend of mine.” [Sadiya hums, looking at the other keychains.] “Long story. Besides, I was going to get something else for Kalim.”

[She picks up a couple of other keychains and sets them down, then sighs.] “I don’t really know what to get my friend. He’s kinda abrasive at times, but he can be sweet…anyways. That’s beside the point. You wanted that keychain, you can have it.”

Rp starter: Yasir!

Normally, he likes to party.

After all there's a reason why he visits Scarabia so often (other than to visit his dearest brother), its to party.

But for some reason he just couldnt force himself to sing and dance along.

....Maybe he's just tired.

Yasir slips into Scarabia's kitchen waving at Jamil before opening up the fridge. Just water, coconut milk, and a whole lot of leftovers.

"Uh, Housewarden Jamil, you got any-" Yasir looks up from the fridge as he heard footsteps, then makes eye contact with not-jamil. "....Hey?"

”Oh hello. Jamil just left to go help Kalim with something. Do you need anything?”

[Who he saw instead was someone with brightly, tricolored wings. He wore cuffs on his wrist with red feathers, alike the ones that the person had on his wings and his eyeliner was a striking red color that paired well with his dark skin. Overall he seemed in a better mood than Yasir was in.]

Well this is awkward.

"Uh- yea i'm just curious if the dorm has any juice." Yasir explains, closing the door and awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck. "Sorry, uh, what's your name?"

“Oh, yeah, we just forgot to restock. It’s here, I’ll move it now. Might take a while to cool though, sorry bout that.”

[He moves it from the pantry to the fridge and introduces himself with a smile.]

“My name’s Isam Nejem! 2nd year of Scarabia and you are..?”

Yasir smiles and holds out a hand.

"Yasir Al Haddad, Third year of Ignihyde. A pleasure to meet you."

”Al Haddad? Ohhh you’re Faisail’s older brother! I’ve seen you around before!”

[Isam shakes the guy’s hand, now recognizing him.]

“Usually you’re a lot more animated though, singing and dancing? Ya good?”

Yasir nods. "The one and only! I hope my brother has been well....he's a bit shy."

He sighs, looking off to the side.

"Yea, I think? I dunno. I just feel....off today."

”Your brother’s sweet! He reminds me of my own younger brother, but he’s a lot more of a little gremlin than Faisal!”

[He tilts his head, a small chirp escaping him, almost mimicking a thoughtful hum. His behavior reminds Yasir of an actual bird…]

“Maybe classes are tiring you out? Or your social battery just wasn’t feeling it today?”

"Yea...my brother is a bit shy..." Yasir says, noting how Isam reminded him of a bird....wait. is that offensive? Did he commit a microaggression against beastfolk?

Trying to distract himself from the realzation, he awkwardly laughs. "Maybe! I mean...just finished like...three tests last week."

”Then it seems to make sense! How come you decided to come to the party anyways?”

[He checked the fridge again, remembering what the other had requested, since it had been a while since he put the juice boxes in. They were already cold so he handed one to Yasir]

“Here, since you said you wanted earlier.”

"Yknow....i wanted to have fun! I usually have fun at these things...."

[Ah, he completely forgot about the juice since he was questioning if he was racist. speciesist...? He doesnt know. But he happily take the juicebox.]

"Oh! Thanks man."

[He smiles back a your welcome and steps back to lean back against a wall. Isam mimics what Yasir said. Actually…he almost copies Yasir’s voice to a t.]

“‘Usually.’ That’s the key word there, you usually have fun at these. Maybe you subconsciously felt that since you were burnt out from exams going to something that usually makes you happy and upbeat might help?”

[Eugh the voice mimicry gave him the creeps. It was cool! But still....creepy...]

"....I guess? I mean, i also get to see my brother....i rarely see him because we're in different years."

”Oh that could play a factor into it too. Assuming you get along with your brother, your subconscious might’ve also associated that with a happy experience that could cheer you up.”

[He shrugs and tries to give a smile.]

“But I’m just spitballing here, trying to help somebody I only met just know. Seems like a thing I keep doing.”

"Oh yea, we get along great! We always have."

[Ah, it appears Yasir is taking this as a chance to yap-]

"My mother thought we wouldn't get along since i'm two years older, 'cause you know how toddlers are with babies. Fussy, jealous, normal stuff! But apperently i was very attached-"

[Yap yap yap wow he can talk a lot.]

[Isam just…listens. And he listens with a smile and a few fond laughs every now and then.]

“Y’know nobody ever expects it but I have a younger brother too. He’s only 11 and still back at the Scalding Sands. Miss the little guy.”

[Whether Yasir notices that Isam didn’t say with our parents is unclear.]

"Awww! How cute! You do kind of have an older brother vibe...i think its the whole,"

[Yasir gestures loosly at Isam]

"Calm, listening thing."

[He laughs a little at that and manages a slight tease, a little bit of cheekiness slipping into his tone.]

“Why? Just cause I listened to you yap for 15 minutes about yours and offered you advice? I think that’s hardly it.”

[A softer chuckle as he adds.]

“But thank you, I have been told that before by many.”

[Yasir sheepishly shrugs]

"Well, kinda! You also seem to care about people. I mean...you had no reason to make sure i was okay. But you did it anyways!"

“I guess it’s just in my nature to help people? I’ve always done it subconsciously and you seemed sort of sad.”

[He shrugs.]

“It’s a shame to see anybody sad even if they’re somebody I don’t know, it just… pains me too, I guess. Parents use to say I was too kind for my own good but what do they know about being kind..”

"Well, i think it's nice that you're so kind. They say being kind is free and all that..."

[Judging by the parent comment, Yasir believes Isam is leaning bit more on the iffy side parental relationships. Best not to linger on that subject..]

"Anyways! Uh...thanks for hanging out with me. You're a real one."

[Yasir pats Isam on the back]

[This time an actual chirp escapes him as he was not expecting that and his wings flare out, accidentally hitting Yasir in the face as he jumps back.]

[A flush creeps on his face from embarrassment as he realizes what just happened and he quickly apologizes, wings resting back into place on his back.]

“Ack— sorry! Sorry! I’m just really sensitive there! Sorry!”

[Yasir blinks rapidly, slowly reaching up and plucking a feather from his hair.....he didnt expect that!]

"No no, its my bad! I shouldnt have done that without warning, sorry man!"

[Isam apologizes again, shaking his head and plucks the other feathers from Yasir’s hair carefully. He tries to preen his own disgruntled feathers back into place after to no avail, still mumbling sorry with an embarrassed expression.]

“It’s okay…that’s just real embarrassing…”

[Yasir couldnt help but laugh at this point, finding the situation funny.]

"Its fine! Man...we're both frazzled by this, huh?"

”Haha…yeah…”

[Isam couldn’t help but laugh, the other’s laugh was just contagious. Melodious in sound as he raised a hand as if to cover his smile.]

“Oh…you really are something, Yasir Al Haddad!”

[Yasir blinks, then smiles. It was so genuinely bright and enthustiastic.]

"People say that to me a lot! But i never really understand what they mean...i mean, I'm just being Yasir. But i guess being me means im something, huh? Like you being you means you're something!"

[That smile was so radiant, like the sun. A softer laugh escaped Isam.]

“Well I guess if you’re being Yasir then I guess I’m just being Isam. Or trying my best to be, if that’s even possible.”

"Well all you can do is try your best! So! I think you're doing great!"

[Yasir somehow smiles even more, if thats even possible.]

[How somebody can be so smiley is beyond Isam. His expression softens.]

“Thank you, Yasir…”

[It means quite a lot. But he doesn’t say that, instead shaking himself and extending his hand to Yasir with a smile. It isn’t sunny like Yasir’s but it is still so warm.]

“Now! It’s time we both outta get back to what a party is really about!”

[Yasir nods excitedly and takes Isam's hand. the blond must be a heater or something, even through his gloves his hand was so warm.]

"Yea! Lets go!"

[Isam leads them back out to the main area, but somewhere it isn’t so crowded so they can dance together.]

“Do you know how to dance well enough?”

[His hands are warm even through gloves…he really is the sun personified.]

"I sure hope i do! Or else my dance lessons as a child wouldve gone to waste."

[Yasir boops Isam's nose.]

"But do you know how to dance, hm?"

[He wasn’t expecting that so he grinned and raised a brow.]

“Do I know how to dance?”

[Isam spins thems around, interlocking his left hand with Yasir’s and resting his other hand on his waist.]

“Please. That’s an insult to me.”

[Yasir kind of lets out a squeak. He didnt expect this!! He was used to leading.....ah well!!! This is nice.]

"Sorry sorry! Then i trust you will lead well!"

[He doesnt sound very sorry.]

[He chuckled, clearly noting the surprise and fondness in the other’s tone.]

[Isam used to do all sorts of dancing in the past, it was the thing he was good at. It was how he provided for his brother where his parents failed.]

“I take it, you aren’t used to this?”

[Yasir nods, a flush creeping up his neck. Ah, is his ears red? He hopes not...]

"Generally the taller person leads! So i expected to...ah, nevermind! Lets just dance."

[He notices the red and tries not to laugh.]

“I was aware of that fact, however, it’s quite fun to do things that aren’t exactly the norm. Wouldn’t you say so?”

[For someone of a lower class, Isam had the teachings of a man of all sorts of social classes. He knew how to do dance when it came to the higherborn and he knew how to dance when it came to the more unfortunate.]

“I quite pride myself on my dancing, it’s a skill set that I have honed to the best I can and even then I am always looking for ways to improve.”

“Because it’s something I believe everybody should have a chance to enjoy.”

[Yasir cant help but feel so oddly flushed. Like a giddy schoolboy.....this was nice. He has no complaints.]

"I agree with that. In my opinion, i find barring certains activites to be learnt by money quite stupid. No one is getting hurt by learning how to dance...so why prevent people from learning?"

[Isam smiles, knowing someone agrees with him.]

“I’m glad you agree with that. Barring certain activities by money or any such petty limitation has always been something I found disgraceful.”

[He gets an idea and gives a bit of a cheeky smile.]

“Do you trust me?”

[....Yasir trusts Isam! Even though he only knew him for what, an hour? It'll be fiiiiiine.]

"Yea, i trust you!"

[Isam smiles and hops up on…air? No, now that Yasir looks closer, there’s steps. Steps made of…what looks to be refracted light?? Isam grabs onto Yasir tightly as his wings spread out to take flight.]

“Sing and dance with me, we take orders from no one! Our Desires to Light!”

[A brilliant show of colors that somehow isn’t blinding appears around then in intricate shapes of flowers and stars. Isam continues dancing with Yasir among them.]

“That was my Unique Magic, like it?”

[Yasir initionally freaks out a bit, i mean, who expects to suddenly be taken out for a flight? But after realizing he's perfectly fine....hes in awe.]

"....Dude, this is the coolest thing ever!"

[He gestures at the lights.]

"I mean you made these lights out of nothing! Theyre so cool! By the sevens, you're cool!"

[He laughs at that, smiling.]

“Glad to see you think so.”

[As the dance slows to a stop, Isam slowly glides down with Yasir.]

“So? Am I better than any dance partner you’ve ever had?”

[Yasir nods enuthisastically]

"Yea! I mean, last time i had a proper dance partner was when i was a preteen...we both stumbled around a lot. So you're much better!"

[Isam laughs again at the enthusiasm.]

“Oh…this was quite the experience. I’m glad I ran into you earlier or else this wouldn’t have happened.”

[The party’s slowing down now and Isam speaks a lot more fondly.]

[Yasir smiles and loosens his hold on Isam, yikes, he hopes it wasnt painful for the second year.]

"Yea! I mean, i wouldnt have met someone as cool as you! I usually see you at these parties, but you've always seemed to busy to talk to, y'know?"

[He hesitantly takes back his hands and intertwined them with each other as he speaks, curiosity in his voice.]

“You had noticed me? I suppose I am quite popular in that aspect, even though I never considered myself as such. I think most people know me for my listener capabilities and helpful character.”

“I had noticed you too, usually roping Faisal into socialization or just giving him company. I always thought that was nice since the kid’s quite shy, I try to help him when I get the chance.”

"Yeah! Whenever i came over for the parties, i usually saw you helping some of the other party goers. Or restocking the fridge.....you seemed to be busy so i didnt want to disrupt you."

[At the Faisal comment, he chuckles]

"Fai's my brother. I'm the only person he willingly lets around him. Im sure you notice how he runs off when you try and talk to him..."

”Oh yeah, heh.”

[Isam rubs the back of his, admitting sheepishly.]

“I was a bit worried for a while that he had a problem with me but then I realized he’s just shy.”

“If I’m gonna be spending time with you, I’d like to get to know him better. He’s a good kid, really.”

"Oh, no! He finds you very admirable. He admires your caring nature. He's just....him. i get why you'd think he doesnt like you."

[Yasir's face brights in delight. Spending more time with Isam would be awesome!]

"Yea! Hes a really good kid! I promise once you get past the fleeing stage he's really sweet."

[He notices Yasir’s brighter mood, jokes about the first half of what he said.]

“I’m glad to see I have a little fan then.”

“Well I hope I can get past that stage, with a little help I hope.”

"Of course! I will put in a good word you....and maybe Fai will tolerate sitting in a room with you for five minutes."

[He laughs, joking with Yasir even though he already knows the answer.]

”Hah! Five minutes? I’m not such horrible company, am I?”

[He laughs along with him]

"Far from it! He's convinced everyone will bite his head off if he breathes around them....except for me and his best friend."

”Oh? A best friend? Who might that be? I don’t think I’ve ever seen him with someone at least.”

[He questions with genuine curiosity.]

"Melus meruad! Octavinelle first year, the one with pink hair? Looks really evil???"

[He shakes his head fondly]

"It was just as much as a shock to me! During the opening ceremony, during allll of that chaos, apperently Melus saved him from being torched! Im just happy he has a friend..."

”Ooh, I think I know em? Jellyfish? I think Knave told me about him, got really impressed by some card tricks.”

[Isam smiled at that, happy with Yasir’s fondness]

“Makes me happy too, then.”

"Knave? Thats a....heartslabyul student, yes?"
