Never told tumblr about the Evanescence concert on Tuesday.
If you saw my last post, you know what happened. If not, go look!
Had VIP Soundcheck tickets, so I was there early and these are from when I got there. Got to meet Jen Majura! She’s very nice. Definitely wasn’t expecting to meet ANY of the band, since I didn’t have meet and greet. So this was unexpected and great.
The soundcheck was a cool experience. Like a mini concert before the concert.
Then after that, did some merch shopping…then waited to go back in for the actual show. Was up front, pretty much left/center. Veridia was cool. Great energy, and nearly cried when Amy came out to perform with them.
Then the main event…the 6 and a half hour build up basically to it was very worth it. I feel like anyone who’s ever said that Evanescence was bad live probably bad a bias against them or something, because it was SO GOOD. Amy sounded incredible. It was everything I ever thought it’d be. 16 years of being a fan had all come to this, and if I’d have been able to do this at 14, 15, or 16? I’d probably have been in tears. But being as I am 26, that didn’t really happen. I was very happy, though. They played a lot of my favorites. “All That I’m Living For” was one of my favorites of the night, and of course “My Immortal” was a highlight (figuratively and literally). So….there you have it. I’m also having incredible concert withdrawal right now, which I’ve never experienced before. May 14th, 2019…is forever a treasured day in my life.
