I think some people fail to realize that Pandora is Earth. Not literally, of course, but the idea of everything being connected is not some wild fantasy. It's just shown a little more obviously in the movies. It's why every animal, plant, fungi, and bacteria matter in ways that are impossible to fully understand. It's all an interconnected web and severing just one strand could have consequences you'd never expect. Man these movies make me so angry in the exact way they're supposed to. I hate what we're doing to our home with every fibre of my being and I will do everything I can to fight for it (the non-lethal way 😅).

Vaquita (Phocoena sinus) are porpoise that can be found in the Gulf of California. They are the most critically endangered marine mammal on Earth. They are also the smallest at just 5 feet long. They feed on a diet of small fish, squid, and crustaceans. There are about 10 individuals left and, unless heavy restrictions are put in place, we're at risk of losing them forever.
