Vaquita (Phocoena sinus) are porpoise that can be found in the Gulf of California. They are the most critically endangered marine mammal on Earth. They are also the smallest at just 5 feet long. They feed on a diet of small fish, squid, and crustaceans. There are about 10 individuals left and, unless heavy restrictions are put in place, we're at risk of losing them forever.

Did you know that rays (stingrays, manta rays, skate's) recognize their own reflection? Did you know that cat purring helps heal your body? Did you know that pufferfish create beautiful nests in the sand for their mates? Did you know that dogs are able to sense if you're feeling negative or positive emotions and that's why they're good therapy animals? Did you know that there are multiple animals including the rodents that mate for life? And that if their mate dies they will likely die of heartbreak? Did you know that coral is an alive organizam that breathes and grows and eats? Did you know that this can all be lost? Did you know that people are still illegally whale hunting? Did you know that unless we put on or big boy britches and do something we may loose most if not all of these unique and amazing animals and plants?

Lastly did you know there's only around 14-12 vaquita's left? Did you know that there's fish that live in one of the hottest deserts alive? If they can figure that out we can figure out how to live without killing everything else.
