Florian was still adjusting to camp.

this whole place was so new... The had monsters in the woods, kids with powers, and a rock wall with Lava!

The toughest part was actually accepting the fact that he was a demigod. His dad had bene Christian and even though Florian's mom had told his dad who she was, he refused to believe it.

Florian's mom, Lethe had told him he was a demigod in a dream. But little Florian thought it was just that, Just a dream.

He hadn't realized he was a demigod until he made it to camp.

He probably should have figured it out sooner, Weird things happened to people and things around him.

His mom was the goddess of forgetfulness! And honestly? It made sense.

Seth immediately knew the boy came from Tartarus, or at least something in Tartarus. He rushed over, grinning excitedly. His gums were bleeding and he just overall looked Not Good.

"You're a child of something from Tartarus, right?" He asked, holding a silver flask. Florian could tell it was a river of the underworld, but it obviously wasn't the Lethe. "I can tell, since my dad's Tartarus!"

Florian blinked, turning to face the other boy. Tartarus? He didn’t know much about greek mythology but he did know Tartarus was like…Greek super hell.

“I’m from BC…And Pennsylvania…” He explained, A tad confused.

Florian could control and sense the Lethe’s water, and summon it from the ground but that took a lot of energy and he had only discovered it a few months ago.

“And how is your dad Tartarus…Isn’t that like- Super mega greek hell?”

"Close enough!" Seth exclaimed, grinning ear to ear. He looked horrible, deathly pale and struggling to catch his breath every so often. "Mhm! but there's a god Tartarus, he is the pit while also being the god of it. Like how Gaia is the Earth while also being a physical form representing the Earth, or Helios is the sun while also being a- well you probably got the gist the first time around."

He fished through his bag, pulling out a few water bottles. Each one hade something in them that clearly wasn't mortal. The bottle of milky white liquid seemed to call to Florian. "I'm guessing your godly parents is a river? which one is it? I've got bottles of everything except the Styx!"

"I- don't think Tartarus and Pennsylvania are very similar but ok..."

Florian nodded as the sick looking boy explain how his dad was Greek hell. It made sense for the most part...

Florian held out a hand and a bit of the milky white water floated out of the bottle and around his hand, then it floated back into the bottle

"Cool..." He mumbled with a smile, seemingly proud of his little water stunt

"I- just figured out i could do that a few months ago- My moms Lethe. I guess i can control the Lethe its just- i had never come in contact with it until a few months ago"

Seth nodding, sipping on his flask. "Pretty cool trick, I can open sinkholes. I bet, one day, I'll be open to crack open the earth all the down to Tartarus."

He offered the silver flask to Florian. "Want some? It's the Phlegethon; once you get used to the fire-y taste, on account of it being fire, it's not too bad. It's the only thing keeping me going up here."

"That's...Cool? i think?" Florian replies, tucking his hands in his jean pockets

"Uh- N-no im fine..." Florian did his best to decline politely, he didn't think that drinking fire was a good idea.

"I'm Florian by the way-"

"Seth! What brought you to camp? Dad sent me here as like a... time out thing." He huffed, kicking a rock. "I'm usually with him, being up here make me so sick." Seth groaned.

"Could be worse though, dad usually doesn't have a physical form so when im down in Tartarus I just kinda wander around. It has it's perks though, I can literally sleep on his heart." He said, acting as if that were a perfectly normal thing to do.

“I- Uh…Wasn’t actually planning on coming here.” Florian explained “I was…leaving home, Kinda just- Wandered for a bit.”

He paused, taking his hands out of his pockets, then they began to pick at his nails.

“There was this…Like- Feeling, Or somthing. I just felt like i should go in a certain direction. And…i ended up in the woods and passed out.” They shrugged.

“Didn’t actually realize i was a demigod until like- a few days ago. Despite my mom sending me a message in a dream like- Twice.”

"ooo interesting! Im here cuz my dad banished me, It's like timeout!" Seth explained, running his fingers through his wire-thin hair. Gods Seth look so disheveled, like he was about to collapse at any moment.

"Huh...yknow that doesn't sound normal, the whole passing out this. But I usually live in a dark pit of despair and torture so I wouldn't know." He said with a shrug

“I- Greek hell…Banished you…Here…?” He asked, Clearly confused. This place seemed pretty nice! It was new- and scary- But nice overall! Why would a god- No. That’s not right. a titan? No…not that either. Why would greek hell send his kid here?

“Living in despair and torture doesn’t sound very fun-“

"Mhm! Because I broke the rules." Seth huffed, getting a silver flask out of his bag and taking a sip from it. "And I was banished here because being topside makes me sick, like how normal people get sick when they're in Tartarus." He explained, squinting as the sun came out from behind some clouds. "Gods it's so bright up here"

He shielded his eyes with his hands as he spoke. "And I don't suffer from the whole despair torture thing, I actually thrive down there! Most of my suffering is done up here." Seth grumbled

"The whole- thriving in torture thing sounds...cool? Maybe not the suffering up here part."

"I- just figured out i could do that a few months ago- My moms Lethe. I guess i can control the Lethe its just- i had never come in contact with it until a few months ago"

Seth nodding, sipping on his flask. "Pretty cool trick, I can open sinkholes. I bet, one day, I'll be open to crack open the earth all the down to Tartarus."

He offered the silver flask to Florian. "Want some? It's the Phlegethon; once you get used to the fire-y taste, on account of it being fire, it's not too bad. It's the only thing keeping me going up here."

"That's...Cool? i think?" Florian replies, tucking his hands in his jean pockets

"Uh- N-no im fine..." Florian did his best to decline politely, he didn't think that drinking fire was a good idea.

"I'm Florian by the way-"

"Seth! What brought you to camp? Dad sent me here as like a... time out thing." He huffed, kicking a rock. "I'm usually with him, being up here make me so sick." Seth groaned.

"Could be worse though, dad usually doesn't have a physical form so when im down in Tartarus I just kinda wander around. It has it's perks though, I can literally sleep on his heart." He said, acting as if that were a perfectly normal thing to do.

“I- Uh…Wasn’t actually planning on coming here.” Florian explained “I was…leaving home, Kinda just- Wandered for a bit.”

He paused, taking his hands out of his pockets, then they began to pick at his nails.

“There was this…Like- Feeling, Or somthing. I just felt like i should go in a certain direction. And…i ended up in the woods and passed out.” They shrugged.

“Didn’t actually realize i was a demigod until like- a few days ago. Despite my mom sending me a message in a dream like- Twice.”

"ooo interesting! Im here cuz my dad banished me, It's like timeout!" Seth explained, running his fingers through his wire-thin hair. Gods Seth look so disheveled, like he was about to collapse at any moment.

"Huh...yknow that doesn't sound normal, the whole passing out this. But I usually live in a dark pit of despair and torture so I wouldn't know." He said with a shrug

“I- Greek hell…Banished you…Here…?” He asked, Clearly confused. This place seemed pretty nice! It was new- and scary- But nice overall! Why would a god- No. That’s not right. a titan? No…not that either. Why would greek hell send his kid here?

“Living in despair and torture doesn’t sound very fun-“

It was Easter again.

It marked his first few months in camp. Fear and pain and exhaustion. His crutches had started to bruise his underarms, leaving purple welts and blisters that itched under his shirt. His hands were rough and weak from clenching them on the things.

His leg was getting better though, he thought. Besides the itching, the God Awful itching from beneath his cast, he’d started to walk on it a little bit more without being immediately sent to the floor.

Whenever the bandages were changed it wasn’t even purple, and the bites had finally stopped foaming.

He thought about this all the while walking to a secluded place to stop and think and pray. Not only about his namesake and his savior, but for his friends.

He leaned the crutches against a tree and gently sat himself down, his injured leg straight out in front of him and his alright one pulled to his chest.

His hands pressed together, and then to his lips, and he began to whisper.

it was Easter, and he had nobody to celebrate with.

Florian wandered through the woods, green converse flatting fresh spring soil.

It was odd to be back here, After all he had collapsed in these very woods just a few days ago when he arrived at camp. Ian had always known he was a demigod, And he wasn’t sure why monster didn’t seem to care about him. Maybe it was because he was a child of a minor god?

He spotted a boy who looked to be around the same age as him alone, leaning up against a tree and praying. From what Ian knew, this was pretty normal at camp. After all their were many gods to pray to.

Ian’s father had been Christian. He had renounced the idea that Ian was a demigod. The only reason Ian knew was because his mother had visited him in dreams. So despite praying being a normal thing it made him feel a bit uneasy.

Ian knew it was dumb but he couldn’t control it.

He stood there for a moment, just looking down at the other boy before speaking.

“Uh- Are you ok?”

Judas looked up, fluttering his eyelashes as the sun hit his face. He seperated his hands quickly and pulled them to his sides, looking almost embarassed at being caught.

“I. Sorry, uhm, yes. I’m okay. Are…”

He paused, twisting his hair around his finger anxiously.

“Are you? Okay?”

Florian blinks and looks down at their feet, then back up to Judas.

"Uh- Yea...Im fine- Just looking for something." He explains, scratching the back of his neck.

"I- uh, Whatcha doing...?" They ask, tilting their head.

Florian thought this guys White roots where cool...Was his hair naturaly white?

"Also- i like your hair."

”What’re you looking for?”

He asks softly, reaching for his crutches leaning against the tree. He places them on the ground before him and grips them strongly between his hands to pull himself back up onto his foot-and-a-half.

“I. I was just praying. ‘S Easter and all. I haven’t prayed. In a while.”

He explains awkwardly, sort of smiling all the while.

“and. Th. Thanks!”

His smile widens a little more, releasing one of his crutches to push his hands through his hair.

“nobody’s ever. uh. Complimented it. before.”

“A- Necklace my dad’s girlfriend gave me.” He explains “I…Kinda passed out in the woods a few days ago- Had it in my pocket, I think it fell out.”

They mumbled, Scratching the back of their neck.

“Oh- Right.” Florian’s dad was Christian but he hadn’t celebrated easter much- Maybe a nicer dinner, Going to church and some more praying than normal but that was about it.

He smiled when he noticed his compliment made Judas smile.

“Y-Yea, It looks cool! Dunno why people wouldn’t have mentioned it before.”

Florian was exploring the woods for…whatever reason. When they stumbled upon an old temple in the woods. It wasn’t that old- but it must’ve been some project for camp that failed and they abandoned it out there years ago.

As they walked around it, they got the faint feeling they were very much being watched. Quiet rustling the trees and bushes that could almost be mistaken for the wind or a small critter, but something was off.

They turned a corner and someone jumped out.

“BOO! Haha- did I get you?!” A girl appears out of nowhere, giggling. She was wearing a white chiton, but looked more like a camper than a nymph. Well if she didn’t have plants growing out of her hair. Then you noticed something unusual…she had a camp t-shirt. In her hair. She was using it as some sort of makeshift hair tie….

Weird…Florian had gotten the whole tour of Camp Half Blood and no one had told him about a temple.

It was beautiful, despite parts of the building being a bit worn down. Florian had always felt at home in the woods, This place seems quiet. He would make sure to rember this place for later.

“BOO!” That startled Florian, He hadn’t realized anyone else was here.

He spun around to face whoever was there, They didn’t have a weapon yet (And they didn’t feel like the needed one) They held up their fists as if getting ready to fight, And then immediately put them down when he realized how stupid he looked.

“I- Yea you did…” He paused observing the girl. She didn’t seem scary- He could relax.

this whole place was so new... The had monsters in the woods, kids with powers, and a rock wall with Lava!

The toughest part was actually accepting the fact that he was a demigod. His dad had bene Christian and even though Florian's mom had told his dad who she was, he refused to believe it.

Florian's mom, Lethe had told him he was a demigod in a dream. But little Florian thought it was just that, Just a dream.

He hadn't realized he was a demigod until he made it to camp.

He probably should have figured it out sooner, Weird things happened to people and things around him.

His mom was the goddess of forgetfulness! And honestly? It made sense.

"You're a child of something from Tartarus, right?" He asked, holding a silver flask. Florian could tell it was a river of the underworld, but it obviously wasn't the Lethe. "I can tell, since my dad's Tartarus!"

Florian blinked, turning to face the other boy. Tartarus? He didn’t know much about greek mythology but he did know Tartarus was like…Greek super hell.

“I’m from BC…And Pennsylvania…” He explained, A tad confused.

Florian could control and sense the Lethe’s water, and summon it from the ground but that took a lot of energy and he had only discovered it a few months ago.

“And how is your dad Tartarus…Isn’t that like- Super mega greek hell?”

"Close enough!" Seth exclaimed, grinning ear to ear. He looked horrible, deathly pale and struggling to catch his breath every so often. "Mhm! but there's a god Tartarus, he is the pit while also being the god of it. Like how Gaia is the Earth while also being a physical form representing the Earth, or Helios is the sun while also being a- well you probably got the gist the first time around."

He fished through his bag, pulling out a few water bottles. Each one hade something in them that clearly wasn't mortal. The bottle of milky white liquid seemed to call to Florian. "I'm guessing your godly parents is a river? which one is it? I've got bottles of everything except the Styx!"
