The Story So Far

Four souls were taken from the mortal world before their time. Each was similar in some ways, but came from vastly different backgrounds and worlds. Each had a reason to return to the living. They met a war criminal who wanted nothing more than to be free from his imprisonment. A deal was struck: the criminal's body to be used for shenanigans in exchange for freedom. These are their stories.

The Mods and the Muses

Each of the characters you can interact with on this blog are run by a different mod. Introducing:

Mod Sun as Thaddeus, the war criminal who is lucky (?) enough to be alive

Mod Lightyear as G, the white heart of the crew

Mod Black Hole as Silhouette, the shadowy prankster

Mod Meteor as Null, the purple hued amnesiac

Mod Luna as Hugo, the azure lover

The Rules

Most of the rules here are pretty standard. We have a zero tolerance policy on anon hate and we are not afraid to use the block button if we feel that you're going too far.

This blog contains a lot of possession and eye imagery. The eye imagery will be tagged along with other trigger warnings, but as the possession is a major part of the story it will not be. If these things trigger please block the blog.

In addition blog does contain some ships that are considered controversial. In particular, we have alternate versions of Rex Dangervest shipped together and Remmet/Rexmetstyle. If this isn't something that you want to see or interact with, please don't. We're here to have fun, but you don't have to interact with us or follow if you don't want to see that.

Please specify Muse for any questions that you ask, if possible. We do have five people running this blog and for the sake of clarity and timely ask answering, specifying which character you're talking to will help.

This is not an RP blog. We will not get involved in long-form role-playing.

Keep all questions and submissions safe for work. Two of the mods do work and access Tumblr at work while another one is a minor.

The Incident

Even a body piloted by four ghosts needed to sleep, but the spirits within were far from sleeping. In hindsight, the calm in the air felt surreal, but none of the parties involved with have the luxury of that hindsight now. Three of the ghosts kept to their own thing within their own space until they each heard a shout that urged them to come to the common part of the space. The spirit of their captive host stood before them, holding a scared G in her arms. Her hand was held to it's throat, but something felt off about how it was held.

"HEY! What do you think you're doing? Let it go!" Hugo chimed in from the left. Fae held out a hand, but no recognition of how truly troubling their situation was about to become found a home on fae's face.

"I don't think I will. I grow tired of this arrangement. I want out of it. I want the four of you to get out of here. If you can't comply with that..." Thadd tightened the grip she had on G, a gesture that was enough to show visible alarm on the opaque ghost's face.

"This ain't a way to back out of a deal." Null added from behind Hugo and Sil. One could feel the disgust radiating from the purple ghost as he moved closer to bridge any gap between himself and the oncoming threat.

"Yeah. If you got something to say, we can settle things without having to resort to... Whatever this is" Sil chimed in, eyes narrowed.

"I don't think you understand the situation the four of you are in. I'm through listening to you. One of you is only concerned with loving as many people as possible, one of you is insufferable, and one of you doesn't even remember who he is anymore. I tried playing this little game and it doesn't offer me the freedom I want, the freedom I deserve. So I'm going to change the definitions of our arrangement. Get out of my head. The next time you make me say this, it won't end well for your little friend here." She looked down at G, who looked up at her with a watery gaze. "You made it far too easy." She looked back at the others and waited for a response, but something about how she said that last sentence held the slightest inkling of self-reflection. That inkling vanished with a steely gaze.

"Let. It. Go." Null stepped closer, his tone holding complete seriousness. His hands clenched into fists, ready and willing to fight. With a further tightening of Thadd's grip, it became clear to the purple ghost that she wasn't backing down. He sprang into action, grabbing at the arm that constricted G. With that attack, Thad shifted the arm holding G and effortlessly smacked Null to the ground. The ghost spring back up and continued his assault, only for Thaddeus to put her full strength into the next strike. The purple ghost winced, unsure where he was hit. He tried to get up, but felt a pain around his hip. Unlike the first time, he had a harder time getting up.

"You have no right to make any demands. If you had any level of strength, you wouldn't have died the way you did. Maybe I shouldn't be starting with G. Maybe I should scrub you out of existence first. That might be considered a mercy." Keeping a hold on G, Thadd rushed at Null now. Before the finishing blow could connect, she felt resistance from a now howling Hugo. The blue ghost had rushed forward, shielding fae's lover with fae's back.

"You do not talk to him like that! I'm not going to take that lying down!" Hugo hissed. Before the ghost could say anymore, Sil took advantage of the situation and started to focus on using his powers to stop Thadd, projecting a black circle around her. His concentration was broken by Thadd, who noticed the potential threat to her plan and lunged at him. Fists flew between both Sil and Thadd, G being practically thrown out of the way so Thadd can fully devote her attention to this onslaught. Null caught G, but it was clear from his stilted actions that his mind was far away from this battle and caught somewhere else.

"Why won't you get out of me!" Thadd roared as she smacked Sil down with a haymaker to the head. The shadow held his head, a threatening aura now radiating around him.

"You need to chill out." Sil rumbled as he sank into the ground, shape forming a circle. One swift movement saw him pinning Thadd to the spot. Thadd struggled, screaming obscenities as she attempted to break free from the shadow ghost's grasp.

"Hugo... I know that the way Silhouette acts, especially around your Lucy, hurts you. And I don't want it to seem like I'm making excuses for him, but... I think it might help you understand him better if you knew what brought him to this point.

"I'm not saying you have to forgive him after this. But, maybe, knowing this could help the two of you coexist easier."

"Let's see... 'Silhouette' Rex died when the timeline decided he no longer should exist after his Emmet, Sunny, rejected becoming him post-Armamageddon. Just like what happened to you, Hugo.

"His sheer will to live kept him from disappearing completely... However, being erased is no simple thing to overcome. I have a feeling you had a stronger connection to life than he did.

"He 'haunted' Sunny's and Eclipse's-- his Lucy, that is-- home for quite a few years, bound to the building that had meant so much to all of them. Thing is, the other two could neither see nor hear him.

"He was... alone again, for a very very long time. Day after day, just watching Sunny's and Eclipse's lives go by whenever they're home. Stuck wandering the empty, life-filled rooms by himself whenever they weren't.

"I can't blame him for getting very attached to Sunny during that time... Life for Emmet usually is hard across timelines. And all Sil ever wanted to do was protect him. It makes sense that desire would last past death.

"In Sil's eyes, Sunny deserved so much more. And only Sil, tormented from watching in silent isolation, came to the conclusion that only he could give Sunny what he deserved. Only he, who knew Sunny better than anyone in any universe.

"Eclipse didn't appreciate him enough. Didn't make him feel special enough. He knew how badly Sunny still felt about himself. I'm sure, if you saw your Emmet in that state, you would have longed to do something about it as well.

"... I don't blame him for possessing Eclipse either. Who else would Sunny trust, and be happy to spend time with? To Sil, that must have seemed like the only option.

"All Sil wanted was one day of treating Sunny with pure love... I think both he and Sunny needed that, in the end. Though it is distressing that Eclipse got caught in the crossfire.

"But I truly think it was very lucky that, after the possession, Eclipse was able to see him. It was thanks to Silhouette taking things into his own hands that things finally began to get better for all three of them. That they learned that he existed, and could begin to bond with him.

"But his trust and self-worth is still shaken from his years of isolation. He doesn't entirely believe that Eclipse truly cares for him and Sunny. And he sees Eclipse reflected in other Lucys across the multiverse.

"At this point, Hugo, all we can do is give Sil time. Time to grow, and to open his heart fully again. I already see a positive change in him since he's joined you in sharing a body.

"You don't have to like him. But give him a little more time to heal, is all I ask."
