INTRO [prototype]:

Hello! This is my blog on that new 'Tumblr' app I've been hearing about. A big sibling of mine suggested some social media advertising might do my place some good! So..I supposed it wouldn't hurt!

The Goldshine Bar is a "Family"-run Bar located in District 12's Backstreets, it's a little safe haven from all the hustle and bustle of The City. Feel free to stop by and drink your sorrows away!

Middle Siblings get 50% off all drinks, courtesy of being family. Oh, and don't try to impersonate siblings. Trust me, I know. We also have non-alcoholic drinks for any Middle Siblings that are not drinking age! (Water, soda)

Every month on one Saturday I will be closing the bar early for family night. So show up quickly when you see the heads-up!

ABOUT THE OWNER:

I'm Nyx Brandy (Yes, I know, coincidental surname. I've heard all the jokes by now.), 26 and owner of The Goldshine Bar! She/her pronouns, please. I am also a Little Sister of The Middle- but don't let that intimidate you! I promise I am a lot more lax than my other siblings.

I enjoy my job, and hearing stories about other folks!..I think that's all I'm comfortable with saying, however.

Nyx's Mix - Reserved for The Middle ONLY. (OOC: Made with enhancement tattoo ink, an energy drink, and some kind of other mystery substance. Used as a combat aid and far pushes the enhancement tattoo capabilities in battle.)

*Nyx walked about the streets of U-corp, having been sent by a certain best friend of Vertebrae's...*

"Sis? Siiis? Vertebrae?"

*The little sister called out, in an attempt to find the young one..she carried with her a book of vengeance, and an embroidered button-up shirt that had purple leaves on the sleeves, and purple stripes on the collar of it.*

//Vertabrae did not look like herself. She had a full suit of shiny knight’s armor, tears seemed to drip from the helmet she had over her head. The armor was covered in glowing purple Vengeance Tattoos, and so was the large claymore she carried. Vertabrae also now possessed a second set of arms. Her book of vengeance was on her hip…but it was significantly larger than someone of her rank should have, it was the size of a Great or Big sibling’s book…as she turned, the armor made an unpleasant grinding sound, as if the armor grated against itself. Her voice was odd too, it sounded almost…for lack of a better word, distorted and “crunchy”.//

"W-what the fu.."

*Nyx muttered under her breath, eyes widening as she looked up toward the faux knight. She trembled under the sight of it..was that...what was that?!

The vengeance book..the tattoo marks...this was a..!?*

"Wh..who...are you...?"

*Was all she could muster asking, gritting her teeth as the armor and claymore scraped against the pavement of the street. Through the clad helmet, she couldn't see the person's face..was this even a person at all?*

Excuse me…I’m not in The Middle, but I was wondering if you could tell me…do you know Vertabrae? She’s a Young Sister, lives in U Corp….she’s my best friend. We usually at least message each other “good morning” and “good night” (though that’s the minimum, we usually talk a lot), but she hasn’t said good morning today and hasn’t even read any of my messages. I’m concerned about her. I know she could have just forgotten…but we’ve been friends for 2 years now so I don’t think she’d’ve just forgotten like that.

"Ah-? Oh, I think I heard about her.." *Nyx said, setting down whatever it was she was holding.*

(Jekyll casually looked around, his face a bit flushed- but it was the tell-tale sign of an Arbiter, that's for sure- the coat over the devilish musketeer outfit, his...ride being a pillar that's floating just above the street's sidewalk.)

(His head shook, as someone else- presumably Hyde, came into control. He rubs his eyes.)

we…I thought we just had a normal vengeance hunt today. some rich guy spit on one of our members and of course we gotta beat his teeth in for that. as well as execute him. that’s a death worthy offense.

and…apparently his bodyguards had guns. i was able to shrug off most of the hits thanks to a nice tattoo on my chest, it basically makes me bulletproof. however, a lot of the siblings with me got gunned down. and the worst part is…it was my fault. i jumped in front of them as fast as i could but I was too slow. and as a result…we had 20 casualties. there were 23 siblings there, including me. we had a lot of manpower on this one since…we were anticipating bodyguards. we just didn’t anticipate guns.

this is all my fault. and once we killed his bodyguards…we managed to punish him severely for all he did. but…so many died. it was all my fault. I couldn’t protect them in time. it was my responsibility to protect them. i was leading the hunt. it’s all my fault it’s all my fault it’s all my fault

it was an unknown variable, yeah. but the issue isn’t that I couldn’t predict it happening…it’s that I was too slow. I couldn’t get in front of all the bullets in the spray fast enough

both. i’m sad that they’ve been robbed of their lives, and because it was due to my inability to be fast enough…and yeah, logically speaking, there were too many bullets to feasibly block with one person. but I still feel gut-wrenchingly awful

Er. Yes. I am Hyde. And that- was Jekyll. By technicality I am a distortion, and Jekyll represents my...conflict of morals and sense of justice. Hence his...more dramatic and almost musically-inclined showing. He will say we're the same person, but he's lying.

(It's clear Hyde and Jekyll was going to probably be the most interesting patron you'll ever serve...Especially what with his ARBITER outfit and ARBITER ID.)

I'm off the clock, if only because I was sleeping when Jekyll decided to use the arbiter pillars irresponsibly and start flying and singing while drunk...He wanted to pub crawl across the entire city...

(Hyde just looked...a bit tired, while shaking his head, as Jekyll came in.)

COME ON ME! IT'D BE GREAT FOR EXPERIMENTATION!~

(Jekyll now waved cheerily at the bartender/owner.)

Yo! I'm Jekyll! You may have heard of me from my friend the Index Messenger Husky!~ Hahaha- She uh...Doesn't know I'm technically Hyde's repressed psychological urges to become a better person and a bringer of genuine justice- He used to watch those type of shows ALL the time, haha!

(Is this what overstimulation feels like to Husky? Because as the Will of the City, I'm starting to fucking FEEL it.)

*Nyx's eyes widened a bit at the sudden raise in tone, slowly reaching for the ID in a bit of shock and..oh my god.

She had to swallow the face she so desperately wanted to make in her throat, instead nodding along and handing back the ID after verifying it.*

"Well..I've never had a 2-in-1 customer before, but i suppose it's always good to try new things, yeah..?"

*Let alone an ARBITER.

Nyx bent down and retrieved a menu for the packaged duo, various 'mhm's and 'ooo's leaving the bartender as she sat it on the counter in front of them.*

"Low-alcohol and non-alcohol sections are here and here. How uh..high is your tolerance? Wouldn't normally ask such a thing, but considering your states..best to just check in case."

Ah- understandable. My tolerance- it actually is different between the...well, both of us. Jekyll can't handle alcohol as well, yet he becomes actually a bit more...well and put together when drunk. He also happens to sing a lot when he's drunk, so...

(Hyde shakes his head, as Jekyll comes in.)

Yup- Though- it's not like I've ever actually passed out from drinking too much, so that's GOTTA be a good thing, yeah?

(He grinned, unaware of how uncomfortable this probably was for Nyx.)

(Hyde however, whenever he was in control, seemed to take on a more calm and composed- almost soft tone of voice, as it seems he's more aware of the impact his persona and self makes upon others then Jekyll does...)

"Gotcha, gotcha." *Nyx nodded,* "A singer, huh? Well..just don't get too up-and-close with the customers about it is all I ask. Let 'em drown their worries in peace, you know?"

*As she took on another's order, she turned back to Jekyll and Hyde.* "Feel free to order when you're both ready, I'll just be catching up on some miscellaneous orders to give y'all some time to think."

*Funnily enough, the bar seemed a bit crowded tonight..perhaps the reopening of such a place brought a good amount of traction..and perhaps auditory cover for if Jekyll decided to drunkenly sing his solo-choir.*

(Hyde managed to take over, effectively getting himself a Wiśniówka (sour cherry liqueur from Ukraine which is the most common and popular type of nalewka, which I assume is like, a Polish/Ukranian type of alcoholic drink related to fruit) which has a 30% to 50% alcohol concentration. Jekyll, meanwhile, got himself some Amazake, as he did really like the high sugar content and low alcohol content a lot...Specifically it has less then 1% alcohol content...So specifically Sake Kasu Amazake...Well the two ordered what they wished for up here.)

I hope Jekyll's...Aggressive asking for more won't be too much.

(As the two inside the one body planned to actually take turns drinking their drinks they ordered.)

"Great choices!" *She hummed, finally serving up the misc patrons, and grabbing the ingredients off the shelves for their drinks.*

"Ahhh, don't worry about it! I can already guarantee you, there's been worse!"

*As she shook them up, or just otherwise prepared them, a question nagged at her head. Not one to pry, usually, but..*

"Say, if I may ask, what's an arbiter like yourself..selves? Doing all the way in District 12? I get y'all are barhopping and all but..surely there's more luxurious places to do that in than a fallen wing's backstreets, ain't it?"

*The rattling of the shaker finally came to a close, as now she served up the two drinks and slid them over with a smile, eyes glinting through her glasses with quite the curiosity.*

I WISH TO PUB CRAWL IF POSSIBLE!

(Jekyll dramatically presented his ID, before shaking his head- Hyde coming back as he quickly switches to something much more composed and orderly.)

Er. Yes. I am Hyde. And that- was Jekyll. By technicality I am a distortion, and Jekyll represents my...conflict of morals and sense of justice. Hence his...more dramatic and almost musically-inclined showing. He will say we're the same person, but he's lying.

(It's clear Hyde and Jekyll was going to probably be the most interesting patron you'll ever serve...Especially what with his ARBITER outfit and ARBITER ID.)

I'm off the clock, if only because I was sleeping when Jekyll decided to use the arbiter pillars irresponsibly and start flying and singing while drunk...He wanted to pub crawl across the entire city...

(Hyde just looked...a bit tired, while shaking his head, as Jekyll came in.)

(Jekyll now waved cheerily at the bartender/owner.)

Yo! I'm Jekyll! You may have heard of me from my friend the Index Messenger Husky!~ Hahaha- She uh...Doesn't know I'm technically Hyde's repressed psychological urges to become a better person and a bringer of genuine justice- He used to watch those type of shows ALL the time, haha!

*Nyx's eyes widened a bit at the sudden raise in tone, slowly reaching for the ID in a bit of shock and..oh my god.

She had to swallow the face she so desperately wanted to make in her throat, instead nodding along and handing back the ID after verifying it.*

"Well..I've never had a 2-in-1 customer before, but i suppose it's always good to try new things, yeah..?"

Nyx bent down and retrieved a menu for the packaged duo, various 'mhm's and 'ooo's leaving the bartender as she sat it on the counter in front of them.*

"Low-alcohol and non-alcohol sections are here and here. How uh..high is your tolerance? Wouldn't normally ask such a thing, but considering your states..best to just check in case."

*She sighed..before turning to the newcomer.*

*Nyx had been polishing off some glasses, her head turned to the new voice in the bar.*

"Why, hello! Welcome to The Goldshine Bar!" *She warmly greeted, adjusting the frames on her face as she sat down the glasses.*

"Hey-hey! Don't worry about it! I understand- maybe more than anyone considering the place I run- that not everyone can control their tongues at times. I don't hold it against 'em as much as the others might." *Nyx explained,* "But thank you! It is a pretty neat group, ain't it?"

*Grabbing a menu, she slid it forward.*

"Mind if I get ya a drink, new face?"

"Yeah... maybe i'm biassed though, since the Fingers were the reason my friends lived." "Also, anything non-alcoholic. Even if this is the city and no one would really care if a 16 year old was drinking i think my boss would..."

*She nodded,* "Right, right. 'Course. Wouldn't wanna serve liquor to a teen."

*Trailing the menu with her eyes, and glancing up at the customer, she picked out something non-alcoholic and began to grab and mix.*

"Gee, glad to hear it frankly! Honestly, the fingers- or at least The Middle, maybe The Index depending on the day..aren't as bad as people think!" *She poured a cherry cream limeade on-the-rocks into the glass, and slid it over to icerochas.*

"Here ya go, kid, enjoy."

*Nyx took a moment to think, leaning over to browse it, herself.*

"Well..I'm personally fond of a Malibu with Pineapple added onto it, nice, smooth, and not too heavy on the alcohol." *She answered, before turning to the shelf behind her, scanning the various bottles and ingredients. Nyx looked over her shoulder.*

"Want me to make it for ya?"
