Aziraphale: Crowley, you can't drive 90 miles an hour in central London!
Crowley:
aziraphale: gave zero (0) fucks about obeying god’s orders and gave away his flaming sword to the humans (by which basically inventing war), immediately lied to god about it, shamed eve for “expecting already”, and befriended a demon just about .03 seconds after stepping foot on earth
crowley:
Fanfic writer: Crowley fell TWO times
Me: Go on...
Fanfic writer: Once he fell for Hell
Me: yes yes
Fanfic writer: And..... then he fell for Aziraphale
Me: wHoA—
Crowley’s panic at having to confess his love right there and then.
I mean, did you SEE how he’s deflecting the conversation?? Did you SEE how many people/cars/obstacles he dodged throughout the whole series??? The demon drives 90 mph in central London, hardly ever looks at the road, and doesn’t hit a thing. And then THIS is when he hits someone????? When he’s looking straight ahead on a straight, empty road?????? Naaaaahhhh…
What do you mean this isn’t Crowley every time Aziraphale turns down his plans to run away together.
Original:
Me: I’m so sick of assorted clichés/tropes.
Good Omens: *sips soda* The dark one is soft for the sunshine one and they pine for a literal fucking 6000 years.
Me: *literally sobbing* Oh my God the dark one is soft for the sunshine one and they pine for 6000 years.
Good Omens: Can I hear a wahoo?
Me: *instinctively* WAHOO.
All I could think of was Crowley 😂

I’m starting a thesis on how we can’t take some lines of the last episode of Good Omens to the letter, so pay attention kids.
Let’s stick to this part, after all had happened and Az and Crowley were heading home.
Yes, look at those cute passionate looks.
But let’s not forget that they were drinking:
And then this happened (not that we all don’t remember it daily):
And we know, with a certain amount of confidence, that Aziraphale said yes, because shortly after that we have the unforgettable holding-hands-in-the-bus moment (that David Tennan allegedly recently confirmed that actually happened):
Oh, come on, I want to see who’s going to have the courage to say Crowley wasn’t taking his angel home after THAT.
Anyways, moving forward, the next thing we have of them is this scene in the park, where we know they’ve already switched places because that’s when they’re kidnapped.
Now, here’s when things get interesting. When Crowley asks:
We tend to assume two things about this scene:
1) The reason why they’re acting a bit awkward around each other is because they’re actually in each other’s places and;
2) Crowley (who actually is Azi) is talking about the whole “stopping the end of the world and standing up to Satan” thing.
BUT what if he’s actually talking about what happened after the bus ride in Crowley’s house? What if he’s talking about “last night?!”
And THEN Aziraphale (who actually is Crowley) answers with:
INEFFABLE, we know, you damn hopeless romantics!!
(If you watch this scene, being able to hear their voice tones, it’s more clear).
And now, I wonder: arriving at Crowley’s, after holding hands all the way home, after realising they don’t have a “side” anymore and they’re probably the only ones who are going to take care of each other now, and probably more than just a little drunk (to help put up the courage), how do you guys reckon the whole idea of switching bodies with each other was born? Obviously Agnes Nutter’s prophecy helped, but... well.
I’m just saying.
I've seen a lot of meta on the canonical "you go too fast for me" but almost none on Crowley's "anywhere you wanna go". Its emotional charge makes me burst. It's not only "I can drop you by the bookshop", it's literally a heart on a plate, presented to the angel. Crowley is ready to follow Aziraphale's lead in regards to how they are going to proceed from here with their relationship. "Literally anything and anywhere, just let's advance even a tiny bit already, please". It's heartbreaking
this ask popped out and punched me in the eye tbh
tbh both of these lines hit me like freight trains so I don't think I could have physically handled an "I love you" moment anyway
they don't say it, but they show it, over and over and over again
i'm content with that. I don't feel cheated in the slightest.
hot take: aziraphale says "you go too fast for me crowley" because he can sense love and he's still kind of shook that it only took him saying he gave his flaming sword away for the biggest purest wave of love he's ever felt to start emanating from some random demon
we're all just npcs in the strange video game of aziraphale's life
Just a daily reminder that if Crowley was able to get through the Apocalypse then you can get through today.
