So Hey

I know alot of people do this and I do ask from time to time when money gets tight but this is the real first time i’m asking for like possible donations for a huge emergency.

Last night my phone got knocked into a drink and I thought i had saved it in time. Did the rice thing and everything. I wake up to find it clicking constantly and acting like i’m hitting the back button. None of this good.

For me my phone is a literal life line. I’m someone has sporadic black outs. I’ve been tested and it’s mainly a reason I keep a phone on me at all times. I have small alerts if I should black out and faint. 

So lemme get to the point.

Mike sighed, seeing he’d created another problem for the little harpy.  "I’m sorry Elle, I didn’t realize that you don’t take to cold things very well.  If the smell is gone from the kitchen, we’ll get you something warm to eat.  Is that OK?“  Once they’d learned they wouldn’t be eating for a while, Mike put all the food away just in case.

The only solution Nat had to keep Elle from being cold was to hug her, hoping the warmth from his body would warm her up enough to stop her from shivering.

Jo immediately goes to join her brother, arms around both of them to try and help out too once she sees Elle shivering. “It’ll be okay,” the little girl promises, even if said promise was childish in nature.

Smiling at the scene in front of her, Veda steps around the trio in order to get something warmer for Elle to drink. There had to be something; if nothing else, she could prepare something for her.

Elle blinked, then settled into being hugged, certainly enjoying the warmth her new brother and sister were offering more than the cold water.

“Yes.” Was the only thing she could think to say to Jo, though, “Food? Warm... drink?”  This must be warm if they thought it was the way to get rid of cold, and her new mom had said she didn't have to only drink water.

There had to be a warm drink right?

Elle didn’t really feel like moving for about an hour, curling up like she had before when Nadine had paid a visit but with less tremblings, just wanting to have her head on someone’s lap and not have to worry about the smells of cooked egg lingering in the kitchen.

She was, obviously, still hungry though, having basically nothing in her stomach at this point even if she had eaten twice in the past 24 hours, it really didn’t take into account that she had not eaten the previous two days, and had only drank water from a sink.

Which was what she eventually got up to do, to try and drink water from a sink.

Mike, being the only one still standing, stopped her by putting his hand in front of the tap.  "You’re no longer with the people you were before, there’s no need for you to drink directly from the sink anymore.“  He smiled at her.  "You can drink from a cup now. Nat, go get her a cup of water from the fridge door.”

Nat got up and did as his father told him and came back a minute later with a plastic cup of water and handed it to her.  "It’s really good and really cold.“

Having sat with Elle during that hour, Veda on seeing her finally getting up does the same in order to follow, catches the conversation Mike and Nathan were having with Elle. If it was that, the little girl not having responded yet. “And it doesn’t have to be solely water, if you want something else,” she adds, voice gentle.

Jo darts into the kitchen after that, wanting to see what was going on.

She did take the water from Nat though, disliking the touch of something cold in her hand immediately, cold was not good because it was hard to get warm, but... They had blankets here she could crawl under...

Elle took a sip of the water, jerking a bit when it touched the inside of her mouth but she was thirsty enough to drink it down quickly anyway. She did start shivering a bit though after that was done.

They’d finally finished cleaning the floor and the door jamb and were both coming down the hall to the bathroom.  "Hey, is she alright?“ Mike stayed at the doorway, but Nat went to see Elle and sat down beside her.

“She isn’t feeling well,” Veda explains, that answer rather obvious. Her hand is still on Elle’s back, rubbing gently to try and settle the little girl. Not personally understanding what Elle was feeling had little to do with that sympathy, the look on her face enough for Veda to realize how she felt.

With Nat joining them, Jo looks up, scoots over closer to Elle so that he had more room to join the three of them.

Mike and Nat were thankfully almost done.  It was amazing how much was in the little harpy’s stomach.  Nat looked at the egg in the living room, then to the eggs on the plates.  "Do you think she could’ve reacted to the cooked eggs involuntarily?  If the egg in the living room and Elle are related, then it’s possible that her mind could’ve linked the two.“

“Hmm, it’s possible, but to make sure, we’d have to ask Elle when they’re done in there.  And hopefully we won’t have to clean her vomit up again.”  He stood up and examined the area.  They’d cleaned up all they could and Mike went ahead and got the mop out and started using it to make sure everything was cleaned.  To make sure, he told Nat to clean the eggs off of the plates and put them in a freezer bag.

“Are you-”

“Okay?”

“Alright?”

Speaking at the same time, Veda and Jo’s voices both mingle as they try to check on how Elle was feeling once she was finished vomiting. That she’d relaxed is a relief to Veda, but the little girl’s reaction was still worrying. Unable to hear what Nat and Mike were saying, the cause was still a mystery to her. But one she hoped would be cleared up quickly.

“Hurt.” Elle said, sitting down on the floor without much grace and wrapping her arms around herself.

Her middle really hurt, probably something to do with vomiting up no so well chewed food.

That and that she was not so used to being sick like that.

Mike heard Elle become sick in the doorway and rushed over to her, a trash can in hand to try to catch her vomit. It helped. “Nat, go get some paper towels and start cleaning what I didn’t catch up. We’ll use a mop later. Jo, take this”, he handed the trash can to her, “and the her into the bathroom. When she’s done, clean her up and bring her out.” He looked at Veda and sighed. “Go with them, Nat and I will take care of the mess.”

Nat did as he was told, grabbing the roll and laying several layers of towels over the spreading mess before attempting to pick it up. “What made her throw up?”

Mike looked into the living room at the egg and sighed. “I’m not sure, but we’ll ask her when she comes back.” He got down on his knees and helped Nat clean.

Eyes wide, Veda’s already hurrying to comply, having set the food aside in order to attend to Elle. Her response to Mike taking charge is a thankful look before she’s heading for the bathroom after Jo and Elle, worry clear on the blonde’s face by the time she gets there.

Kneeling next to the two of them, she has one hand on Elle’s back to offer some sort of comfort.

Elle was pretty compliant while being sick, not even jumping at Mike's sudden rush over and letting herself be led to where ever Jo took her.

She could barely hold the can herself, it being that she was not used to holding things and she was rather preoccupied with getting all the food out of her stomach.

Only when finally she felt Veda's hand on her back did she relax at all, her tense muscles melting under the touch.

Mike looked up and saw Nat pull the egg out of the crate and sat down with it, but paid little attention to him as he was more interested in not burning the what he had on the stove.  When he was sure everything was done, he started portioning things out onto plates.  "Nat, put the egg back in the crate and come get your food.  If you don’t, I’m gonna give your portion to Elle.“  He’d made sausage, hamburger, and scrambled eggs.  He handed the plates to Veda once the portions were divided up.

Nat looked at his father and did as he was told, still amazed at how big the egg was and just now noticing how warm it was to the touch.  "Coming,” he said after he’d made sure it wasn’t going to fall inside the crate.

Plates in hand, That’s all Veda was waiting for on hearing that Nathan had gotten into the crate still left in the front room; with her hands full, she goes to set the plates down just as Jo comes following her brother into the room.

The little girl pauses in the doorway, looking back and gesturing toward Elle to let her know to come into the kitchen. “C’mon, food!”

Food, but that egg was there. Elle shook her head and began to fluff up, pulled back on Jo's hand once more to not have to go in there.

Her eyes were zeroed in on the crate, the unmoving egg.

Elle squeezed her eyes shut.

She did not know why but at the same time as feeling the urge to protect it, she wanted nothing to do with it either, and finally, the fear and smell of the /cooking/ eggs made her let go of Jo's hand be sick, all over the doorway.

“Right…” He doesn’t sound entirely believing, considering the circumstances, but this wasn’t really Az’s business regardless. Getting up in order to ask for a bag for Sheldon’s portion, he’s preparing to head back to the dorms.

El watched him get up and get ready to leave, she might have asked him to stay till she was done if she did not have so much left to eat, and maybe if they had known each other any better.

Or if she had known he lived in the dorms too.

As it was she just didn't want to have to walk back alone in the dark that late at night.

Considering that El wiped her hand off a little better and pulled out her phone, pressing the screen a few time to call someone she only had on quick dial.

“Hey, babe?” Silence, and a smile on her face, “Yeah, I know, mind staying up another hour? I gotta walk back home alone, an-Yeah... Yeah, okay, thanks. Love you too.” That smile when she hung up, it must have been a yes with a look like that.

He still looks skeptical, but Az goes back to finishing up his food before balling up the wrapper with what had fallen out onto the table inside. “Just doesn’t sound like a good idea ’s all.” he explains finally.

Getting the rest of the food home to Sheldon before it got colder, though, would probably be one on the other hand.

El shrugged, it was only his business because she had mentioned it, but she was not going to tell him off for it. “I haven't collapsed yet, and I don't get dizzy, so, whatever it is I'm managing it.” She didn't look up, busying herself with her food, there would only be judgment there if she did that was for sure.

“Yeah but you feel like you’re starving?” That didn’t sound right, even with the work she probably had to put in for performances. From what Az had absorbed from Sheldon, too, it sounded potentially dangerous.

“Well, most of the time yeah.” It was easier just to eat when she could than worry too much about it though.

Which her sister did a lot, but going to the doctor was a hard thing for either of them to do without some sort of support.

If only her girlfriend lived closer... El sighed at that thought, picking up her monstrosity again to eat.

“You… what?” Really? Raising a brow, the question is more confused and concerned at once as Az gives El a look of some suspicion. “How new around here are you?”

If it was just a matter of not knowing where to go that’d be easily fixed.

“Me and my sister just started this semester? I eat plenty.” She said, guessing that was the direction he was going with that sort of look.

Or he thought she was lying because 'girls don't eat' but he probably was not that dumb.

Partway through one of the last bites of his soft taco, there’s still some of the sauce around his mouth. Which Az takes care to clean off, though said care is just rubbing one hand over his mouth after setting the food down. “Uh, not this late at night.”

Honesty was easier anyway.

“Hmm.” El had been at rehearsals all day, so she had not had much of a chance to eat, planning on chowing down on whatever left overs her sister had kept for her, and well, yeah she was still going to do that but this was a good appetizer.

When she saw him wipe his mouth it reminded her to use some of the napkins and clean up a bit herself.

Very messy, but not a crumb of food was dropping that she had not picked up, it was all just the meat oil.

“I feel like I'm starving most of time., probably run around too much”

“Didn’t need the reminder, I bet,” Az answers simply, understanding some of her dislike of the subject with El’s response. Whatever it was, it seemed like a better idea to avoid the topic anyway.

“Maybe I did.” She actually slowed down a little at the reminder.

She did not need to eat herself fast and sick anymore, usually Tin was the one to tell her that.

“What about you? You don't eat much huh?” El looked over him with a critical eye, all lean muscle, almost too much so, but he was very tall like her so likely he did not underfeed himself.

Taken aback, his surprise over El’s reaction turns to embarrassment, and for a few minutes Az focuses more on his food before offering a sheepish “Sorry.” instead of pressing further. Whatever it was, he’d stumbled onto something she didn’t want to talk about, or she just didn’t want to talk in general.

“Not your fault people are asses.” El said, perhaps just feeling a little guilty at making him say sorry, but not elaborating on what it was that had made her do it. He did not need to know, and probably would not want to know.

“That’s…” Huh. “Lots of siblings?” Az guesses, still boggling at just how much El was eating at once. That assumption made more sense to him than anything else, and for now he was running with it.

How she was managing to not choke was beyond him.

El looked annoyed and stopped for a second to talk, “Nope, just one.” They'd had one set of foster parents had disliked the idea of kids playing with food enough that they would take a meal away for 'dilly dallying' as they'd put it. But El was not about to share that with someone who she very barely knew.

Partway through, realizing how quiet El had been, Az pauses long enough to speak. Though he ends up gaping instead, staring at El’s combo with a look of shock and some impressed awe on his face.

“Uh… you always eat like that?” he squeaks out before laughing nervously.

“Hum?” El glanced at him then to the marvelous concoction in her hands, chewing thoughtfully for a solid five seconds. “Yep, eat fast or eat nothing.” She said and then attacked the mess again. Obviously there must have been things in her life that made her either want to eat like this, or had made her. At least it was all getting chewed.
