Oh to be a simple flower...

Has anyone ever asked what YOUR favorite flower was?
On one or two occasions, yes. *smiles* While it varies from time to time, I have a particular soft spot for pink dahlias and moonflowers.
What's one of the most tedious jobs thats not your favorite do you have to do in the garden?
I’d say I enjoy every aspect equally, and while I do enjoy them all...
*heavy sigh*
Turning the beds for mulching is... It’s excellent for the plants, and I cannot refute that they thrive so much more when I take the time to do it, but... it just takes sooo looong! Especially if I take the extra step to mix it with the soil for an even spread. It’s not even all that difficult, just time consuming.
for kiss/marry/kill: a Moonshadow, an Earthblood, a Sunfire
What a difficult choice! Hmmm....
*thinks for a long while*
....kiss the Moonshadow, marry the Earthblood, and wish the Sunfire a good day.
That was a hard one! Thanks for playing with me!
Iris- if you could have any other eye color, natural or not, what would it be?
Oh, what a tricky question! I love my green eyes, but if I could have any other one, I’d probably want to steal a pretty shade like @ask-runaan-anything ‘s.
Hi. Yeah. Can u b my mum? Ur very supportive and u make me feel v safe.
Oh my little flower, you honor me! *smiles* You are always welcomed here. Now come along, there are papers to sign if we’re making this official, and then we’ll make up a room for you.
How is my favorite Moonflower doing?
Calen! *sweeps you into a big hug and spins you twice* Ahem. Sorry. I might have gotten a bit overexuberant there… my apologies.
I’m very well. I found my way back to the tree house and Ethari. You must come visit, if you can spare the time from your garden. Ethari’s garden could use your help. How have you been?

*Lets my own little furry friend leap down, giving a scritch behind the ears before walking over to the window.*
It looks like your friends are starting to wake up.
*watches as elves start to emerge, milling about their business in the reaches of the Silvergrove below.*
I can see why you would enjoy spending a morning up here with Ethari. It’s peaceful.
*joins you at the table, sipping my tea and petting Fiddlesticks*
Ah, yeah, this is nice.
*leans back and smiles softly as you enjoy your tea and your kitten guide* I’m glad you came to visit. Ethari and I are so busy. We should stop more often to relax with friends. Especially since Lain and Tiadrin… *sighs* I’m glad you’re here.
*Osiris leaps to my shoulder and rubs his cheek against mine* Yes, I have you too, little murder floof.
I do enjoy sitting here and watching the village. It’s comforting. Do you have a window you like to sit at and watch from?
*hums softly nodding.*
There is a bay room off of one of the greenhouses that I use specifically for hanging plants. The green pane looks over one of the wild meadows to the west.
*takes a sip*
People are always telling me I should clear it out for another growing yard, but I like to keep some of the natural order. Leave a space for the wild animals and such to play and snack.
*grins*
If you and/or Ethari are ever at the garden around sunset, I’ll show you. It’s a beautiful spot to watch the twilight set it.
Ah, that sounds lovely. Sunset is one of my favorite times of the day. Ethari calls his eyes copper, but I say they’re sunset. No matter how far from home I am, when I see the sunset, I think of him. Of course, it’s easier if he’s actually there with me. *chuckles* I’ll do my very best to persuade him to let me come with him to your green-windowed greenhouse. He’ll be so excited, he may leave me behind unless I hang on tight to his hand.
Craftsman management 101: keep a hand on your craftsman at all times, in case sudden inspiration strikes and he bolts off. I don’t have enough fingers for all the times Ethari lost me in the market when he saw something pretty. That horn tip of his makes it a lot easier to find him in a crowd now, though I do prefer to hold his hand.
*grins* Yes, I like shopping and holding my husband’s hand. i can’t imagine you’d object.
*chuckles, shaking my head*
Well you two are always more than welcome to visit any time. There’s not much going on with the plants right now, but I’ve preserved some of the roses you helped me plant way back when. You can show them off to your husband.
*grins into my tea*
I think it’s delightfully soft of you to enjoy such things. I can’t say I have a full understanding of losing someone at the market though, as I’m usually one to wander by myself. Getting distracted by pretty things, though- now that is something I am very familiar with.
*pretends to be dismayed* Oh no. You’re an Ethari, too. Do you have a minder? I may have to appoint myself. Can’t have you getting lost and never resurfacing. Who would feed me my soul-scorchingly-hot peppers then? *chuckles*
*polishes off my tea with one finger up* Whenever you’re ready to continue the tour, we can head up to the next room.
*pets Osiris softly* Yes, O Stabby One, you can come, too.
*hums softly before chuckling*
I’ll have to bring some for Ethari when we meet. He’s yet to have the traditional rite of passage, as it were.
*grins*
But yes, a minder would probably be wise, or else I’ll be quick to run out of space in the zen greenhouse to hang sets of wind chimes.
*chuckles*
How is my favorite Moonflower doing?

*chuckles, petting the kitten as I look at the wall covered in plants, some of which are wiggling in their containers, distracted*
Tea would be nice…
*approaches a few of the pots cautiously, making sure there’s nothing to grab me too hard before I reach out a finger and let a small leafy plant curl a petal around my glove*
Hello little one. *examines leaves* If you were in my garden, I’d think you were a sub class of Tillandsia plants. But we aren’t in my garden, and your keeper isn’t here to educate me. I suppose your name will have to wait until next time I visit.
*turns back to you*
And here you made it out like Ethari needed help tending his plants.
*raises an eyebrow and smiles as the hotstone sets water boiling in a teapot* Oh, this isn’t Ethari’s garden. This is just kitchen goodies. *eyes twinkle because I know you’re going to enjoy the garden when I show it to you* I’m feeling like mint tea today–like most days. But there’s some chamomile growing there, and some coldspice, and stimmerleaf, which is like your black tea.
*snips off a few mint leaves and hands you scissors, which are engraved with swirlies* Snip yourself some leaves, Calen. *drops leaves into my mug and adds boiling water while Osiris watches intently from my shoulder, then holds out another steaming mug for your leaf selection* I can skip to the garden if you’re feeling impatient. It’s at the top of the house.
*carefully trims a few chamomile leaves to brew*
Half the fun is in the journey, Moonflower. Take as long as you wish, I’ll enjoy every minute of it, whether it be plants, kittens, or some other surprise.
*lets the tea steep, then has a good long sip while still perusing the plant wall. Quite a few things are similar, but definitely not what I’m used to*
Ah, nothing like fresh leaves. I might have to take a page out of Ethari’s book and get a shelf like this for my kitchen too!
*enjoys my tea and pets the kittens*
*sips tea companionably with you for a while while Osiris licks his paw and washes his ears sitting on my shoulder, then I reach up to Ethari’s herb wall and pluck off a cheerful pink flower* I’ll save the garden for later, then. It’s worth the wait. But this bloom, you can have now. It’s only fitting, really.
*tucks the flower behind your ear, and its warm floral spice fills the air* It’s a spiceblossom. *grins* They’re known for their easy adaptability, their pretty petals, and their healing properties. They’re also pretty tasty in tarts. Can you see now why my nickname for you is Spiceblossom?
Yes, you guessed it, I’ve secretly lured you here to stuff you into a giant tart. There is no escape now. *laughs into my tea*
…
*makes a show of looking at the plant wall. Looks at the kitten.*
…
*remembers the pretty grove. Looks at you. Remembers how fun you are*
…
*takes a long sip of some very tasty tea*
…Worth It.
*grins*
Getting tart with me already. I see how it is. *polishes off my tea and gives my kitty a skritch under his chin* It’s so heartening to see how seriously you take your big sister duties.
Whenever you’re ready, we can continue the tour. Next up–literally, see, because stairs–the breakfast nook. Bring your tea, you can sit for the best part.
What can I say? I do try.
*chuckles*
Ooo, and a breakfast nook, how exciting! Sounds cozy!
*curls my kitten up in one arm, carrying the cup of tea in the other.*
I’ve got a kitten and my tea. Lead on, Moonflower.
*leads the way up a short and curving set of stairs to a breakfast nook tucked into the outer wall of the tree, just a simple round table with a pair of smooth padded chairs next to a massive round window that looks out across the Silvergrove* I love sitting here in the mornings with Ethari. I can have my tea, maybe a scone or two, play footsie under the table, and keep an eye on the village all at the same time.
Have a seat for a moment. It’s a great view. *sits down, Osiris hops onto the table and sits near the window* Aw, such a good boy. *smooches his forehead*
*Lets my own little furry friend leap down, giving a scritch behind the ears before walking over to the window.*
It looks like your friends are starting to wake up.
