After the handshake concluded, he pulled his hand away and settled both of them on his waist. It wasn't often that he was asked to do anything that didn't include some monetary reward. Or at least a nice shiny weapon that he could use to cleave down his enemies. But she didn't need to know that.

However, his ears twitched and perked up as he tilted his head to the side.

"So, what can I do for you?"

"I can never win," J'aohn sighed. "The shortest until the very end." He looked straight ahead as Minfilia began her speech. She was a sight to be hold. A paragon of strength and sincerity as she looked among the other Scions, her smile bright and eyes lit with dreams of the future. In a way she almost made J'aohn want to believe in this Warrior of LIght business. That there would be something that he could gain from helping them save all of Eorzea.

But if he thought a little harder on it..

If the world was destroyed, he wouldn't be able to go to the Golden Saucer with Masaki and Verie. They couldn't sit in the Duthers and laugh together or poke fun at one another.

The speech concluded and J'aohn made up his mind. "Guess we have work to do, hm?" He said with a shrug. "I've never met a sylph before but there's a first time for everything."

"A chocobo! Does a chocobo count?" His eyes lit up, ears perking at the idea of having his very own chocobo friend. Invincible rolled his eyes and nudged J'aohn. "Kweh," the chocobo said and it dawned on him."Nevermind!" He rubbed the chocobo's beak and smiled. "I would like a moogle friend though, or a coeurl kitten."

J'aohn clicked his tongue and sighed. "It's always the beautiful ones that are the most confusing," he said. "Though a partnership could mean many things. And what good would one be without knowing one another's names?"

He lowered one of his arms, extending his hand to her.

J’aohn has an incredible sweet tooth. However, he used to be a trickster as a child and would mix sour and sweet candy to play pranks on his family members.

He prefers the night time. Ever since J'aohn was a little boy, he couldn't stand having to go to sleep at a certain time. He'd sneak out of his shared room and sit outside to watch the stars. He fell in love with how they're always changing and although they're so far away, they mean so much to people.Along with that, things are far more interesting at night than they are in the day time. People come out and do what they want, there's shops that open or specials that come around when the sun goes down. And most of all, if he goes to Limsa Lominsa, he can sit and watch the moon rise.

“Mm, I’m afraid your deduction isn’t entirely correct.” 

J’aohn palmed the apple and raised his to press lightly against one of the bruises. It stung but not as much as the wounds during his training as a marauder. Distantly, he was reminded of the hooded figure that told him he was far too kind for his own good. Resisting the urge to snort with laughter, he waved his hand.

“And I couldn’t possibly trouble someone so much,” he said before adding. “Without knowing what they’d like in return.”

He set one hand on his hip and the other toying with the apple as if debating whether or not to eat it. 

“I’ll be here for some time, care to keep me company?”
