One of the most exciting Aaliyah discoveries I've come across in a while...
While exploring Legacy Music Publishing's catalog, I noticed a number of Aaliyah compositions including songs that have remained officially unreleased even though some have circulated among fans for years through leaks and collector communities.
Ain't Enough Days
Back in Time
Charge It to the Game
Dancin' Dat
Fuckin' Around With You
Roses and Armour
Say You a Baller
Shakin'
Shits Gone Change (You Never Do a Thang for Me)
Steady Ground
Woozy
Quit Hatinā
Me and You
Handful of Men
Girlfriend
1st You Had It All
As someone who's admired Aaliyah for years seeing these titles documented is incredibly exciting. Every new glimpse into her creative legacy reminds us that there was still so much more she had to share.
To be clear: these titles appear in Legacy Music Publishing's catalog which confirms the compositions are registered. This doesn't confirm that recordings exist that they're complete or that an official release is on the way. Fingers crossed these will be available soon.
Even so it's amazing to imagine the stories and music that may still be waiting in the vault. šļøāØ
love seeing rare Aaliyah footage like this. š¤ Thank you to @roography for sharing such a special memory and reminding us how loved Aaliyah was by everyone who worked with her.
