The expectation on trans people afab to constantly self-police their own language to avoid ever being even misinterpreted as a transmisogynist vs so many trans women here literally giving out death and rape threats with impunity is a glaring double standard that people who are falling over themselves to tone police you have yet to address. Why the fuck would we not be angry that we have been conditioned since, or even before, birth to view ourselves as innately and eternally inferior, and to have other trans people shove that back in our faces?
can't say afab, cant say born female, cant say female organ, can't even talk about uteruses or vaginas or periods without labeling them as male or female, can't talk about socialization, can't again just talk about our childhoods and upbringings without even labelling them.
"man is neutral and positive, and woman is only negative". extrapolate to male/female or amab/afab, and it's clear that trans women see themselves as neutral and positive, and trans men as negative, a lack, worse than nothing, a sucking void into which their "realness" flows, lost forever more.
that's why trans men "take up too much space" and "contribute nothing" at the same time. that's why gock refers to a trans woman's penis but bussy also refers to an amab's butthole, and not a trans man's front hole. Amabs have the power of naming, which is why they get to decide "transandrophobia" isn't the right word for us, and neither is misogyny, neither is transphobia, neither is transmisogyny, and afabs have the power of being told to shut up, sit still, and to nod our heads politely in agreement.
i encourage trans mascs to use whatever language makes sense to them and to spend less time policing each other and more time listening. remember people are different ages, grew up and learned about queer issues at different times, and also live in different countries with different discourses and are also ESL. there are a generation of people who say genderqueer instead of nonbinary. there were decades (perhaps centuries) where being gay and trans were not understood to be inherently different things, and in some culture's that is still closer to the norm (butch lesbians and trans men for instance not being really separate concepts in many places, and in america as recently as the 90s). young people seem to use transmasc as a personal identifier moreso than an umbrella term. transsexuals used to stop calling themselves trans after they finished medical transition. different people use bigender and genderfluid pretty much interchangeably. open your mind and listen to what people mean beyond what they say. or perish
