Light. Dark. Life, and death. All now intermingled in the aftermath of all that has scarred this young world. The blemishes were rather visible from all walking with breath in their lungs. It wasnât long until the whole system was given privy of the recent holocaust which plagued the rings of Sol. By then however the flames had died down and the markings of this Red War carved the very landscape into a seething hell with a spark of heaven at the center of it. Those blessed with this power were left to thrive in the embraces of their walls and leaders. Those without were abandoned to burn under the husks of these crestfallen worlds. He was one of those left behind. A silent protector watching out for those that few knew about. A farmer, really. A quaint little story, his, not something you would be surprised to hear about in such an unforgiving scape. Nonetheless, he was unique and liked by few. Perhaps he could make that few become many, it would reduce his trepidation towards the inhabitants of this little universe
The wind rustled the branches, the scent of a fresh day wafting to Azin on the morning breeze as he walked the edge of the forest. Dry leaves littered the ground, puddles glazed over the surface of the ground and twigs from the canopies high above were scattered about like the bones of the tall trees.
But the Hunter made no sound as he stalked the landscape, eyes alert and roaming every inch of the woods for any sign of threat or danger. The City was gone, the Light extinguished, the Guardians scattered or dead. But Azin Vell knew he had to focus on other things, like his next meal, or the safety of the pilgrim train he was leading.
Two dozen civilians that heâd managed to evacuate from the lower Rodentia District of the City. Women, men and children - desperate for shelter or food, any sign of hope or safety. They were all exhausted, but they couldnât stop. The war-hounds could smell their trail from a mile away. The pilgrims couldnât stop, or risk being caught by... them.
The Cabal.
Their attack had been swift and ruthless, as sudden as it was cataclysmic. Thousands had died in the attack. And when the Tower had fallen, Vell had known what he had to do. He gathered as many as he could find, then evacuated into the warrens that led out of the City.
Theyâd been running ever since.
Azin had no idea what they were running for. He wasnât a Guardian, he never had been. And he had no destination in mind, nowhere he knew of that would provide refuge for all the fleeing men and women. But he had to press on, despite his fear of the inevitable death that awaited all twenty-three of them.
Between curious Fallen bandits and Cabal scouting parties, Azin was almost out of ammunition, his SMG only held two more magazines before heâd have to resort to his knife, and before long - his fists. Vell just hoped theyâd find safety before that happened.
Who's got two thumbs and is staying up until freaking six in the goddamn morning to play D2?
This guyyyyyyyyyy!
Azin sat quietly, alone at the bar, a hand on the mug of strong-smelling alcohol in front of him. He stared at the bubbles frothing at the top of the liquid, his face a mask of concentration. He was in no mood to drink tonight, having just received some distressing news from the lower district law enforcement - another missing person. He closed his eyes and sighed with exhaustion. He turned his other hand and opened his fist, looking at the coin in his palm. It would surely be worth a pretty penny, if he could find the right fence. The object seemed to glow in his gloved hand, almost vibrating with some form of alien energy. Azin wasnât on speaking terms with his usual buyer right now, and didnât feel like she would give him the Glimmer the item was worth if he approached her.
His sharp green eyes were focused on the pretty bauble for some time, while his mind spun from the recent reports of the teenagers going missing in the bottom districts in the City. Vell was so engulfed in his own thoughts that he did not notice the other person wander up to him until they were practically standing next to him.
Azin turned, and regarded them for a moment.
âCan I help you?â Vell asked.
Hi, Iâd love to RP with anyone whoâs looking for a new partner for a thread. With the release of D2, it seems like the best time to start a new RP. Iâll put an open starter for anyone who wants it, if youâre feeling up to it.

Dossier - Azin Vell
Name: Azin Vell Race: Human Gender: Male Age: 26 Height: 5'11 Weight: 170 lbs
Skills: Sneaking, Sniping, Speech, Drinking
Bio:
Azin was an orphan in the poorer districts of the lower levels of the City. Life was tough for his community. As a boy, like all the other children, he watched through the cracks of society, and up to the Tower - the beacon of hope for all Humanity. He watched in awe as the ships launched from the top of the structure, and into the skies beyond. Azin dreamed one day of becoming a Guardian, but he was never encouraged to be more than what he was - a street rat, living off the crumbs of others.
He scrapped and fought his way to every meal, learning how to fight, how to adapt. He earned his way to his shelter, his meals, receiving nothing but scars for his troubles. His most prominent scar comes from an encounter with another murderous street urchin, who pulled out a blade in the middle of a brawl, and started trying to murder the other children and adults to get his hands on a burnt loaf of bread. Azin, now an adult, wrestled the man to the ground, but received a gouge across the right side of his face for his trouble. Ever since then, Azin has tried to protect those who cannot protect themselves, often seen in the lower districts in his scavenged Hunter armour, he has been mistaken for a Guardian many times, and uses this to protect those who canât protect themselves. When Ghaul attacked the City, Azin helped civilians get to safety, and tried to uncover Guardians from the rubble. He found a Titan, whoâs Light had left her, and her Ghost had died. Azin could do nothing but comfort her as she bled to death. When she died, he took the remains of her Ghost and whatever weapons sheâd been carrying, vowing to find a way to restore the Ghost to return her to life somehow.
Personality: Certainly the strong-silent type, Azin is generally quite a quiet person, and doesnât interact well with others, especially those he doesnât like. Quite the expert in many angles of fighting, Azin has practised his brawling skills to near-perfection. He sports a Sniper Rifle that he calls âFangâ for its deadly bite, and is most proficient at sniping. He treats the gun like one would treat a person. He talks to it, and cleans it almost obsessively to keep it in peak condition
