Hi, first off the lackadaisy pilot was a work of art from start to finish! I've been wondering about the violin playing in the first scene. Was that improvised? If the music was part of a song I'd really appreciate knowing the title! Have a nice day ❁

The violin playing was done by Fabrice You Martinez, who has a very lively folk-jazz style we felt really matched well with Rocky. We had a long recording session with Fabrice in which we discussed the intended meaning of the poem, and played the animatic with Michael Kovach's voice recording for him. Fabrice would improvise multiple different things on the spot to coincide with and complement those elements.

We had him record himself playing the entire time as well so that the animators would have reference material to work with. (This particular rough animation was done by Mel Mrozek.)

He really can't let a chance to troll his kids go by without taking it, can he? 😂 I love how Naruto nearly had a heart attack just by thinking that he disappointed Kakashi sensei for a second. Hokages or not, their bond is as strong as ever, I love them 🥹❤️

Low key, as a teen, I probably would have felt the same about him losing his eye, but I feel like the whole loss of special ability - but still being elected as a strong ninja hokage - is inspiring and really makes me happy for him. The loss of it, the conclusion with obito and rin, it was definitely not the route I saw it taking, but I'm happy for him. 💜💜

Basically losing his eye was such a small part of the finale, but it really meant a lot to me. He lost the one reminder he had of them, and then he got his full conclusion, and really, that made me so happy. He deserves to be happy. One thing I love about Boruto is how happy Kakashi is in the future. His character beyond being rokudaime has really been fleshed out to be more relaxed and controlling of his PTSD, and that means so much to me as someone suffering similar.
