I put my hands on my hips as he joked about a new outfit and sparkles. Rolling my eyes I smirked as my eyes followed him as he flew around me.
“A girls gotta look good kickin butt now doesn’t she,” I said in an over dramatic voice and a hair flick, chuckling shortly after. I looked back at my wings as he commented how much they looked like his hoodie. Flapping them slightly I slowly lowered myself to the ground.
“I haven’t for a month or two. I moved here about half a year ago, vowing I wouldn’t bring out this unless it was necessary. Apparently that is a bit harder than I originally thought. But I got attacked last month by this guy, Pitch or something. Wasn’t exactly the happiest of guys you’d come across,” I said as I began to flap my wings again hovering only about a foot in the air over the ice lake, letting the tip of my boot softly scrape along the ice.
Jack grinned, it was nice when he could joke around with someone. “Careful now, don’t go all ‘diva’ on me.” The winter spirit smirked as he followed Scarlett back down to the ground, listening as she answered his question. The young Guardians eyes widen a bit at her claimed, he quicken his speed to get down next to her.
“Hold on, Pitch attacked you?” He looked a bit irked at this statement. “You don’t have to tell me twice, I’m no stranger to that guy. I helped stop him from plunging the world into eternal darkness so people would believe in him again.” He had a look of pride on his face, not only because he squashed Pitch’s plans, but also in a ‘it helped me grow as a individual’ type of way. He looked away in thought then turned his head back to Scarlett “Did he say anything to you? He’s the type to blab about his plans or try to manipulate you if he thinks you’re useful to him.”
The frosty teen stood on the lake, letting frost ferns spread out from his feet. He felt a mixture of curiosity, worried, and concern about Scarlett’s ran in with Pitch.
I was a little surprised when he suddenly got concerned with my run in with this Pitch guy. He must be some kind of big deal, I thought to myself as I looked over at him.
“Oh wow, what a hero you are oh fine one,” I said over dramatically nudging him in the shoulder with a smirk. When he continued on I noticed the concerned look in his eyes and replied.
“It was strange. He didn’t attack at first, more so was confused at why I could see him. Which now that I think about I guess has the whole belief concept wrapped around his existence like you do. Since I’m older I guess. So he kept asking me questions and eventually he got impatient and started attacking, of course I attacked back. He gave up after that but he didn’t look that… defeated,” I said, now beginning to ponder over the situation just a little more.
He listened, not liking the last part of her explanation one bit. Though, it didn’t come as much of a surprised as Pitch isn’t one to give up so easily.
Jack grinned at the nudging then “You’re right about the belief concept working with him too and the bad news is, that wasn’t the last you’ll see of him.” They other Guardians will need to be told about this, but for now. “Hey, you don’t mind if I hung around, do ya? Dealing with Pitch is part of my job as a Guardian.” Sure, she wasn’t a kid, but if the Boogeyman was interest in her, he could just leave it be. “Beside, I am amazing back up to have if he does show up again.” He smirked a bit.
