rjegvfjrvf;rghfv i’ve searched for like 18 months for this video
yeah tumblr’s shitty but i ain’t joking when i say being on here helped me grow from an ignorant internet “troll” to a mature and understanding adult. it educated me on a lot of things like racism, misogyny, abuse, etc. i met some of the best and closest friends on here and we all grew together. these are issues and topics i never would have encountered on fb or myspace or any other social media i frequented as a teen and young adult.
I used google plus (ick, i know) from when i first discovered the interest at like, age 10, to only a few months ago (lol i got tired of being told to commit suicide for being a lesbian)
tumblr, while yeah one messy bitch of a site sometimes, helped me mature a LOT. I stopped forcing myself to identify as pansexual, while i only did in the first place because on sites like g+ and twitter, if you dont like men then “youre being a misandristic sjw lol”, i quit playing devils advocate for majority groups just to not be deemed “heterophobic” by the powers that be, i abso-fucking-lutely learned far more about mental health, abuse, sexual assault, etc. on tumblr that i wouldve ANYWHERE else, and if i hadnt been taught those things i would probably be in a far worse spot than i am currently.
If you’re vigilant enough to keep away from the worse areas of this site (Proana, MAPs, and MOGAI are all prime examples of the nastier places here one can get caught in) this site can be an INCREDIBLY useful online resource for young people.

-once woke me up by kicking my bed really hard until i looked at him and then locked eyes with me, drank an entire cup of coffee without breaking eye contact, and then silently left the room
-wordlessly stuck a picture of justin trudeau on my wall, left if there for three months, and then took it down without explaining himself
-walked into the house and said “is it gonna look funny?” and when i said “what?” he shook his finger at me and walked away
-once before bed came into my room and kissed my forehead, said “no homo,” and left
-once came into my room while brushing his teeth, stared at me for five minutes, gave me a thumbs up and left
-once got upset that there was no bench in a forever 21, said “they’re trying to punish us. for being hetero, probably.”
-almost fell out of a hammock while i was typing this
i went into the kitchen and my dad was eating crackers and he said “theres nothing to see here.”
