ATTENTION ALL BOOK LOVERS!! I need your help.
I have this friend. He’s really smart.
Like, actually the smartest person I know.
BUT HE DOESN’T READ. I mean, he can. He reads news articles and science articles and lots of stuff. Not books. Not fiction.
There’s nothing wrong with this, and I am not saying there is.
However, when discussing this with him not long ago I was talking about how being able to lose yourself in a story was one of the greatest joys in my life. You know that feeling, where you’re living the story… You’re there beside Harry as he walks to his death. You’re there as Frodo finally destroys the ring. You feel it. That.
It’s the magic of reading.
My friend told me he has never once experienced this. It kind of gutted me.
I told him that I would find him a book that he could lose himself in. I want him to experience the magic of reading.
This is where I need your help. My thing is Fantasy. Probably 90% of what I have read in my life, indeed what is on my shelves, is Fantasy. This isn’t my friend’s thing.
I NEED SUGGESTIONS. If you have a non-fantasy book that you lost yourself in, or that touched you in some way… PLEASE! Let me know.
(My friend is a dude. He’s 27. He likes clever things)
Please help me.

I couldn’t tell the difference between what was real and what I wanted to be real.
Erin Morgenstern, The Night Circus
When somebody says that Annie Cresta is too unstable to be in a relationship...
The Seventieth Annual Hunger Games. Annie Cresta goes in unprepared for what she will face… Finnick Odair is also unprepared. Annie crept up on him, and this year he finds it more difficult than ever to sit by and watch the slaughter within the arena.
Here’s your quiet reminder to throw caution to the wind a take a little step today towards making one of your dreams come true. Just one step towards one dream. Take it one day at a time. And I promise you will get there.

FREE Jewellery!! Giveaway!!!
Because I love you guys and to celebrate a lovely milestone of mine, I’ve decided to do one of these fun little giveaway things that I have seen people doing quite a bit lately.
I sometimes make jewellery and sell it on etsy.
You can find my shop The Spiral Dance, here.
You have the chance to win your choice of whatever you like from my shop, for free. Earrings, a bracelet or suncatcher. (YAY FREE!)
The winner will be selected at random on September 21st!
The simple rules are as follows:
1 - You must be following me. (I’ll check.)
2 - You must reblog this post.
3 - You will need to reply to me within 3 days after I message you to notify you of your win. (This is where you tell me which piece from my store you’d like.)
4- You need to be okay with giving me your address so that I can post your item to you. (I won’t share your info with anyone, I promise)
Good Luck!
