Right now

I have two cats sleeping snuggled on me and it is so glorious. They dont particularly love each other, but they both love me so they make it work. I am always kind of in awe at their ability to give love and trust. They are genuinely just really cool. They arent old or sickly, but having recently lost my childhood animals I have a new appreciation for them. Their lives are so short in comparrison to ours. Its almost lile appreciating how short childhood is. So I enjoy all the snuggles when I can get them and try to love them as much as I can.

i spend most of my days off looking at adoptable dogs that i can’t adopt and being sad that they don’t have families and i’ll never get to pet them

I do this too. I follow more shelters/rescues/pet accounts than I do people.

I hope anyone who ever tries to make plans with me understands that they are competing with my cats. I 100% know they will snuggle with me and not judge my netflix choices. If I go to a bar with friends, it will cost me $$ and I'll have to talk to people, and wear pants. There is no competition.

We left for California a year ago on Thursday. This year has been filled with so much growth and amazing new things. Jt has been hard as hell. We've probably disagreed more over things this year than in the previous 5, but I wouldnt trade it for anything. I am the luckiest girl.

If you're not about loving your fellow humans and putting good things out into the world, I just dont have the time.

My life is so short. I have too many things to do and love and things to improve. I don't have the time to listen to your hate or discrimination or generalized racism. I was born happy and free and lucky, in my skin and my identity. I dont have the time to listen to you condem those who you dont understand, those who are not exactly like you, those who look and live and believe differently than you do. Unlearning those things you taught was hard but loving people is easier. I feel better loving people. I have things to learn and experience, people to love, happy thoughts to think. I habe good I want to do. I have eye opening still to do, so I dont have the time or energy to fight you while you try to bring me down to the hatred and racism that you are dwelling in. I love you for the good in you, for the good intentions. But if you have your mind made up to hate people, I dont have the time. I cant have the time for that.
