That’s completely fine with me, Shane.. From what I can tell, your father loves you, he wouldn’t have called me otherwise. He’ll be glad to hear that you have agreed to at least try with me.

I still can’t believe he did that.. What level are you going to teach me at? I’m technically supposed to be around the same level as Kaia, but teachers held me back and all.. When do you think I could graduate?

You’d be surprised how backwards the US is regarding learning difficulties, back home we have schools for dyslexic children and the like, we understand how your minds work and we have developed ways to engage your brains and teach you all that you need. All I ask is that you trust that I have your best interests at heart.

I didn’t know it was different anywhere else.. Then again when one grows up with the parents I had.. Anyways, yeah.. I trust you, not fully and completely as that’s a hard thing.. but I do.

Back to Happy / Shight

Out of all of the friends Dwight had made at Dalton, there was always one person who lost himself and never tried to find himself again - it wasn’t Lucas, as the male knew the Duvals were helping him. It was the youngest Duval, rather, that Dwight felt he needed to help. After talking to Blaine about the past year, he couldn’t help but feel that something was definitely off, and that something was the fact that Shane wasn’t himself anymore. Granted Dwight wouldn’t be either after leaving an abusive relationship and getting shot, but it didn’t feel right that Shane just gave up and never tried again.

Sighing to himself, Dwight drove over to the Duval manor and immediately let himself in - after a long talk with Sophia, she allowed him the opportunity to come as he pleased since he was becoming family as well - and went straight to Shane’s room. The male knocked a few times on the door before opening it, not caring if the other was dressed or not. “Shane, get dressed. You’re coming with me to visit Alan.”

Shane had been up all night - something that was common with him lately with his nightmares coming back, and with everyone sleeping and him not wanting to disturb Lucas, he decided to look through an old sketchbook Blaine had given him before he left for Dalton. He looked through the book for hours, admiring each piece of art before eventually falling asleep, the book clutched to his chest.

Gasping and flinching awake when he heard his door open, instinctively pulled the covers over him before relaxing at the sound of Dwight’s voice. “O-Okay,” he stammered out. “Give me a minute..”

Your father briefed me on your past tutors, I’m well aware of your situation and I don’t expect results straight away. My methods are slow and at some points you may hate me, but I’m okay with that. I just want to ensure your education is as comprehensive as anyone who was taught at a school.

Wait.. really? Dad didn’t really say much besides you’d come around and that I’d like you.. How many kids with dyslexia have you worked with? Loads of people I know say it doesn’t exist.. That I’m just lazy..

Lucas limped over to the door, sighing as he reached out of the handle he turned to look at his boyfriend; He sighed once more, shifting direction to limp back across the room and over to the bar.

Once Shane popped back up from looking for a towel, Lucas smiled softly and leant across the bar to press a long lingering kiss to the younger male’s forehead, “I love you..” He whispered after a long moment, “I’ll be down in a couple hours, see you then.” He smiled softly, making his way to the door to head to bed, leaving Shane alone to clean up the broken glass.

Shane rubbed his arm as he searched for the towel, knowing that he should have automatically known where they were but things had been rearranged since he left but smiling when he finally found one. He stood again, blushing when he was greeted with a kiss to the forehead and smiling a little brighter. “I love you too,” he replied in a whisper, watching as Lucas moved around. “I’ll see you then.” The male waited until his boyfriend left the room before squealing happily and cleaning up the mess he made earlier.
