New Situations, New Companions (closed with @saphire-sweater)

Flamesheart academy was one renowned for its inclusivity. Having been founded during a time of uncertainty when humans and demi-humans were just beginning to find common ground, as a way to allow both sides to start building the bonds of friendship.

It'd been some centuries since that founding, with the academy still boasting the widest diversity of student population from both sides. At the start of the school year, new arrivals were being assigned their dorms and roommates.

One such arrival was in the process of unpacking her rather meager belongings, her fluffy white tail idly swishing back and forth as she both waited to find out who her new roomie was, as well as hoping the two of them would at the very least hit it off when they met.

"I wonder where they are? This place isn't that hard to navigate." she asked herself, making her way to the door to look into the hall.

She pat his tail sympathetically. "Sorry, Abel."

Asta held onto Rei the next time she got scared, hiding her eyes behind Rei's ear.

"It's really well-made, and realistic, but a little too realistic for me." She whispered to Rei.

“Want me to sleep with you tonight?” Rei asked, a mischievous smile on her face “Give you someone to snuggle with to keep the scary dreams away?” She teased.

For his part, Abel didn’t judge her for being spooked. If anything, Asta being as easily scared made him more comfortable about his own reactions, subdued though they were in comparison.

She nodded. "Yes, please... Humans don't usually encounter anything close to horrors like the ones in the movie, so there's not much comfort to be had since we probably wouldn't be able to take it down without the help of high-level magic users... And those are hard to come by."

"So can I join you tonight?"

She shrugged “I don’t care, but I’m sleeping like I usually do. So expect a lot more skin contact than the last time we snuggled.” She said with an idle wave of her hand.

Abel glanced at her, opening his mouth as if to ask a question before coming to the obvious answer. “I don’t know why I was planning on asking what you meant by that. Because everything I know about you suggests that the second I leave here you’re losing both the shirt and the shorts underneath.”

She looked at him with a saucy wiggle of her eyebrows “we’re gonna have to be better friends before I start going full streaker around you, not that my gym outfit leaves much to the imagination anyway.”

"We've been roommates for over two months and it was just something I got used to quick. She eased me into it, though." Asta admitted.

"If it wasn't for my protests, she'd be wearing about as much as the succubi do."

“Eh, some of their stuff looks too uncomfortable. They have shapeshifting powers so they can make anything comfortable for themselves.” She said with a roll of her eyes “I have some clothes like that, but those are special occasion outfits.”

Abel nodded thoughtfully “some of their outfits do look… impractical. One of my neighbors is an incubus: nice guy, but he’s usually dressed like a male stripper’s interpretation of a cowboy.”

“Wait, is he blue with the big forehead horns that curve around the sides to the back of his head? Keeps his hair slicked back? Usually in shorts that look more like a banana hammock?” Rei asked, getting a nod from him. She turned to Asta “weren’t you telling me about that guy last week?”

"Please don't remind me..." She groaned.

Asta grabbed the remote to pause the movie for them as she sensed the topic was one that would demand some attention.

"Ever since I bumped into that group of incubi and succubi, I noticed I get amused stares and the condescending giggle whenever I'm anywhere near them. That guy in particular seems to find the most joy out of trying to get more of a reaction out of me. Even going as far as visiting the student shop at least once a day during my shifts. It's so annoying I had to ask that someone be present with me at all times and handle the register whenever he comes in... Bunch of jerks..."

"I brought it up to my advisor and they told me to just try to ignore them since any protest on my part could be taken as 'tone policing of a particular species' cultural norms'... At least he's nice to Abel."

Abel sighed “not the first time I’ve heard recently of something like that happening. I’ll say something to him next time i see him if you want?” He offered “at the very least he might back off just because he thinks you and I are a thing. I won’t correct him that we’re just friends.”

Rei looked at Asta “Might make things easier for you, and worst case if it keeps going on afterwards you’ll have Abel as backup for the next report. That way they can’t try and say it’s ‘tone policing’ or whatever they might come up with.”

"I'd appreciate it, Abel. That guy's just that annoying and I can't keep coming late to my classes because I have to B-line out of their way." She sighed.

"They're so annoying..."

“It’s unfortunate, but that’s not the first time some species have had issues with another. Fey are another one that humans have problems with. Angels and non succu/incubus demons too, though usually for different reasons.” Abel said.

“That’s to say nothing of the usual elf/orc/dwarf feuds. Largely it’s just old stories that persist because two thirds of the factions involved are so long-lived. At least nowadays they’re more related to sports stuff, but the oldest heads tend to be the more overtly problematic.” Rei said.

Night City was not a place to be trifled with. No matter who you were, if you weren't careful, it would chew you up and spit you out. For those who lived at the very edges of society, the only way to make eddies was to take on dangerous work that was beyond the reach of the law...

Waking up in his Japantown apartment, Jakobe Wolf looked over at the clock. 8 am. Early as fuck, but hey, he wasn't about to go back to sleep. He didn't have time: he had a meeting to get to for another gig. Oddly enough, from his girlfriend, Sylvette. What would be weird to most? He was a nomad, she was a Corpo. Not many would find this to be a normal relationship.

"I wonder what the detes are for this one." He said. Going over to his closet, he began to check his weapons for anything he needed to use for the next job.

Rei’s icon popped up in the corner of his vision -being just a picture of her naked from the neck down with only a finger covering herself- along with a text message.

[Did Syl just message you for a gig at the ass crack of dawn too? Because I’m not untangling myself from my company to work with gonks.]

Wolf smiled upon seeing her icon pop up, and chuckled upon reading her text.

[I'm already on my way there. You are so not a morning person.]

He loaded a pistol and grabbed an assault rifle. Slinging it over his shoulder, he moved to the door, and called for his car so it met him at the door. Getting down to the ground floor, he got into his car, a modified Chevillon Thrax 'Hammer Drill' he klepped from Maelstrom a few months back. Looking up, he put in the coordinates Sylvette gave him into the car's computer, and began to follow them.

[I’d tell you to eat me, but you’re too good at that for it to be an insult.] was her response.

[I’ll meet you there soon. My dates last night happen to live near there, but I’ll be needing you to give me a ride after.] she followed up after a minute.

He chuckled at that, and kept driving to the location. Thankfully, it was well away from Watson: it was in City Center. Typical Corpo gig... Wolf really didn't want to run into any Arasaka goons... goddamn Arasaka...

To that end, he sent a text to Sylvette.

[Any hints as to what to expect?]

[your favorite kind of work. Deets are gonna have to wait until we meet in person.] was her reply.

[needless to say though, I’ll need you two to work fast on this. But I know you won’t disappoint.]

Wolf raised an eyebrow at that. That did not narrow it down any, but he wasn't one to question if details had to be said at the location.

Getting to the location and parking there, he got out and leaned against his car, waiting for Sylvette and Rei to show up.

It wasn’t long before Rei sauntered up. Blue holographic fox ears perked up on top of her head, and the cyber-tail she had installed on her wagged slightly. The faux-fur on it was a different color than usual, though she’d mentioned the last time they’d met up that she had found a line on some stain resistant material that was in a color she liked. Given her line of work, white was a bold choice. Stain-proof or not.

She didn’t carry any obvious weapons, though the two panels on her thighs would be obvious to anyone who knew her as where she kept her Liberty as well as a collection of knives. That wasn’t even mentioning the grenade launcher she had in the tail itself. She was wearing a garish red vest in Valentino colors and no shirt or bra underneath, only the half closed vest covering her chest. As well as a pair of short shorts that did interesting things to the softer parts of her hips and thighs.

“Sup choom.” She said with a wave, though she moved in to give him a side hug.

"Can't complain." He smiled, hugging her back, "I'm just wondering what the fuck Syl's gonna have us doing. Are we gonna fuck up some Gangoons, or fuck her? All she told me is that it's a favorite gig of mine, and you know how little that narrows it down."

“Yeah. The two of us being paired up doesn’t exactly narrow things down either. I was thinking it might be some sort of info grab, but her bringing it to us personally might mean she doesn’t want to risk anything getting back to her.” She suggested.

Sylvette pulled up after another minute, parking her Caliburn before stepping out. Unlike Rei, who was short and dressed like she just woke up (she had) Sylvette was taller, standing about as tall as Wolf and dressed in a smart black pantsuit that hugged her curves nicely. She moved her head in a gesture to follow her, taking them inside and through to as secure a meeting room as someone like her could get discreetly.

“Glad you two could make it.” She said, moving closer to give Wolf a kiss. She turned and gave Rei one too, before sitting between them “I know I was vague, but this is a fairly sensitive situation. Both time wise and discretion wise.” She explained, holding up a pair of chips.

“Here’s the hard details, but the basics of it are that I caught wind of one of my associates attempting to double dip in a covert deal with…” she paused, glancing at Wolf “Arasaka. Which means I need people I can rely on for two things: I need you to recover the datashards as covertly as possible, and swap them out with some corrupted ones I had made on the down-low. Once that’s done, I’ll need people to make a mess during the deal itself.”

That got a reaction out of him. All of them knew how much Wolf HATED Arasaka.

“Which bastard do you want me to klep this shit from?”

“The guy himself is basically irrelevant, a no-nothing that works in an adjacent department that happens to coincide with one of my current projects. Their lead is most likely in on this, so if you can find anything to tie them together housekeeping can take care of them.” She explained “But our research is on bio-lubricants meant to be semi-naturally filtered through the body. In theory, it should mitigate wear-and-tear on external cyberware. Militech put the bid in on it, but you know how Militech and Arasaka are with one another.”

“‘Saka is most likely gonna disappear that guy the minute they get the info.” Rei said, her ears pulsing in tune with the song she was listening to internally. Based on the beat, it was probably ‘Ponpon Shit’.

Her eyes flashed as she slotted the chip “hmm… this is near 6th streets turf. I know a guy there who’d probably be willing to offer a distraction if it meant getting hands on some ‘saka gear.” She suggested, looking at Wolf.

"Basically let the Corpos do as Corpos do." He smirked at what Sylvette and Rei said, "So we klep the datashards, give them the corrupted ones, and let the bastard feel the fallout. Perfect."

Oh, it wasn't hard to tell that Wolf love that kind of op.

"Alright, so what kind of security detail are we looking at?" He asked, "Gangoons or corpo security?"

“Gangoons most likely.” Rei said “it’s on Saka turf, but not in any kind of high Corpo traffic area. Just the fact that they’re going to have to use their typical wheels is gonna draw attention.”

“I’m expecting a couple of Tyger enforcers at least.” Sylvette said “ordinarily we’d try and meet up nearby one of our own locations, but given the recent hits on our own corporate… affiliates.” She said with a grimace. While she might have worked for Biotechnica, Sylvette wasn’t a fan of her own corpo’s close ties with Maelstrom. Having said that, they made effective tools when the situation allowed for them.

“I get it Syl, but you know as well as I do that both Wolf and I love to use them and Scavs for target practice. If they didn’t want to be used that way, they shouldn’t invest in so many blinky lights on their heads.”

"Given we're talking Claws... well, you know I have ties to them, yeah?" Wolf pointed out, pulling his sleeve up to reveal Tyger Claws ink, "I can see about getting in and out without bloodshed."

“While I appreciate the enthusiasm there Wolf, I don’t think being inked up is gonna get you into a saka led deal.” Rei said “especially since you’re not exactly subtle about your dislike for them.”

“My best guess is it’ll be some tyger enforcers and their Corpo vip, and maybe one or two corporate enforcers. Individuals who’re going to be either easily bought off or are already on the payroll.” Sylvette added “the good news is that being outside their house, the Tygers can’t just roll up reinforcements. And if too much trouble pops up, like Rei said: Sixth Street is just around the corner.”

"Hmmm, true..." Wolf groaned. Even the Tyger Claws knew he disliked Arasaka. Then after Sylvette mentioned Sixth Street...

"Why don't we engineer a small turf war?" He asked, "Sixth Street is pretty territorial. I doubt they'd like seeing Claws on their turf."

“I think we can manage that. I know a guy who owes me a favor.” Rei said. She blinked a few times, her eyes returning to normal “I can call him up when we’re done, give him some deets and we can get ourselves setup to pull the main gig.”

"Sounds good to me." He said with a nod.

She nodded, her eyes flashing as she made the call.

“I’m glad you were so receptive to this job Wolf.” Sylvette said “especially with how vague I had to be initially. I’ll make it worth your while though. Both you and Rei.” She said, giving him a smirk.

"I mean, I get to spend time with my girls regardless, so I'm not gonna argue too much. Still not overly keen on going in with little info from the start, but I understand why. Corporate skullduggery is no joke." Wolf cringed.

“Fucking tell me about it.” She sighed leaning back into the seat “I feel like if I didn’t have you two by my side to help out I wouldn’t have made it as far as I have. Two decent edgerunners with a knack for interfering with our competition, as well as the fact that you two provide some excellent stress testing data for the stuff I can get you two to install on my behalf gets me a lot of leeway. Most times. I’m just lucky I’m not responsible for any mainline projects.”

Rei blinked a few times “A’ight chooms. Favor has been called in. All we need to do is get in, klep the data, and then we get the fuck out. Apparently him and his boys have some new toys they wanna test out.”

"Ooooh shit." Wolf grinned at that, "Let's see about getting this done."

He got up and stretched at that, just to try and make the chrome settle in.

Rei got up as well, waving at Sylvette as she followed Wolf outside. She flapped her ‘borrowed’ vest a couple times to air herself out a bit, giving Wolf a peek at her bare chest underneath. “I love when we work together.” She said basically unprompted “it always reminds me of when we met on our first gig together.”

Wolf had to take a breath at the sight, taking a moment to recover aa bit.

"I'll admit, that was a fucking fun gig." He said once he recovered, "You do have a knack of making gigs enjoyable, and I've had plenty of fun ones."

“It got way off the rails there for a hot minute.” She said with a laugh “can’t believe we got it started off on such a weird foot though. Serves me right for drinking as much the night before, but I’ve upgraded myself pretty substantially since.”

She glanced back at him with a smirk “probably wasn’t the best first impression when your partner was hungover and had to take a leak behind a dumpster. Or the fact I had to hurl right before that.” She winced “I was kind of a mess then.”

"To be fair, you have the temperament of a feral raccoon holding a pair of chicken bones, even when you're hung over." He said, "That keeps things interesting."

She gave him a flat look, but a smile grew on her face “fuck off. I’m at least not as much of a mess nowadays.” She teased as she approached Wolf’s ride “though I do have one or two new things i wanna show you when we’re done here. Syl helped me get some preem hardware to help me enjoy my favorite after work activities.” She said with a sultry look.

"Well shit." Wolf blushed at that, "I'm down for that, that's for sure."

She hopped in, putting her feet up on the dashboard and switching her internal radio to external. Her ears pulsed more vibrantly, and some well placed subdermal lights flicked on and pulsed in tune with the music. They formed patterns against the edges of some of her more well hidden chrome, like the mobile flex-plates that armored her chest. They’d slide up into position around her ribs and lock in place to give her more protection than much heavier worn armor would.

They were also just part of the reason she had no tits. The other being her unwillingness to spend the eddies on what she deemed ‘extra weight’.

"Did you seriously get RGB installed in your frame?" He asked as he got back in his car and turned on the engine, "That's fucking nova."

She smiled mischievously “I can set them to match my heartbeat, music, or to a random cycle. I also managed to get it hooked up to my other upgrade to give some visual feedback for a job well done.” She said, opening her vest a bit to show off the light effects as she spoke.

“Honestly I’ve been struggling to not use some of the… self indulgent modes. But from what I can tell from the specs… I might have a hard time walking around if I get too caught up.” She added with a wistful sigh.

"Maybe when we're not so busy with work." He said, "Then we can go apeshit. I'd be fucking joking if I said I didn't want to watch. But anyways..."

Wolf turned his head so he could see where he was going, and began to drive.

"I just put the coords in, we're going to be arriving in about twenty minutes, considering traffic." He said.

“Twenty minutes is a long time here in NC. A lot can happen between here and there.” She said, giving him a look and a wink. “Considering we still have to wait for my guy to call me back to confirm things are ready, we could take a little extra time. Or we find a quiet spot to park when we get there and give ourselves some extra cover.”

She tilted her head in feigned ignorance “does your auto tint still work?” She said with an innocent blink of her eyes.

"Hell yeah, it still works!" Wolf said somewhat indignantly, "I'm still gonna drive us to a quieter spot."

The Parterra

Closed rp with @the-maelstrom-tavern The city was all known for its night life, mainly its clubs. Both in the dancing or other, one high ender was called The Parterra. A high end lounge, drinks and pretty ladies more their singers. Once only one but now two, getting in was much harder then before as this second singer brought in a much larger amount of people. Once calm older business men now lead to younger and cocky people who all wanted one thing only, to see her. So more help was needed.

The Parterra was lovely, dark green walls. Deep brown couches and low tables with a bar off to one side. a stage in the middle then tall windows to let in the view of the city. Normally dim with a few candles was right now fully lit only when not opened like now, the girls were about to chat and chill or to help set up...Or getting into work

Right place, wrong time. Rounding a corner only to walk into someone, her once warm coffee being crushed out of her hand and all down her front. She stares down at now coffee soaked clothes as gasps and a far giggle was heard then green eyes looked up with rage. "WHO LET THIS GIANT IN HERE?! We are not even open yet!" She shouted out angrily as she turns to rest of the girls.

“Not even a little?” He teased “as long as it’s respectful I don’t mind. I can feel some of the girls here might try a little too hard with it.” He said as he took another sip. “Velvet in particular gives me those vibes.”

Anne looks over and smirks. "So sorry but I dont work like that anymore." She said with a small chuckle then walks away to clean up, Lily giggles. "Sis is kinda hard~ And Roxanna-" She says while turning to look at her only to find that she has already walked away, making chuckle. "Well like that!" She said happily before nodding. "Velvet only really does that with the older rich guys...as she said once."

He shrugged with a chuckle “fair enough.” He paused, giving the room another look over “I suppose I should get back to it then.” He finished his drink, giving Lily a wink “thanks for the drink, and just wave me over if you need my help.” He said before getting up to resume his rounds.

Lily smiles brightly and waves him off, the rest of the night went pretty slow both great and boring. Most of the girls were getting ready to head home while Anne and Lily clean up. "I'm shocked by how slow tonight was!" Lily said as another girl looks over as she puts on her coat. "Dont say that, it just means tomorrow is gonna be busy." She said with a huff which made Lily giggle, Roxanna walks over. "True but you are off no?" She said tilting her head, the woman blinks before laughing. "Oh shit, you are right. Maybe I am more bored than I thought~"

Abel made his way back to the bar, rolling and stretching his shoulders “well, that was a fun first night.” He said idly “glad nothing crazy happened.”

He glanced between the three women in front of him “what’s your plans for the day? Aside from sleeping that is, because I can tell this job is gonna fuck up my sleep schedule for a little while.” He said with a chuckle.

The other girl shrugs. "Nothing but clean my place, maybe listen to a new book at the same time." She said while looking over to Lily and Roxanna, Lily smiles. "Me and Sis got used to it pretty easy! But do it by hour if you can! That helps and for us. Not much really, sleep and cook premade meals that's about it." She said happily. "Just about the same honestly." Roxanna said calmly as she puts on her own coat.

"Hmmm, true..." Wolf groaned. Even the Tyger Claws knew he disliked Arasaka. Then after Sylvette mentioned Sixth Street...

"Why don't we engineer a small turf war?" He asked, "Sixth Street is pretty territorial. I doubt they'd like seeing Claws on their turf."

"Sounds good to me." He said with a nod.

She nodded, her eyes flashing as she made the call.

"Ooooh shit." Wolf grinned at that, "Let's see about getting this done."

He got up and stretched at that, just to try and make the chrome settle in.

Wolf had to take a breath at the sight, taking a moment to recover aa bit.

"I'll admit, that was a fucking fun gig." He said once he recovered, "You do have a knack of making gigs enjoyable, and I've had plenty of fun ones."

"To be fair, you have the temperament of a feral raccoon holding a pair of chicken bones, even when you're hung over." He said, "That keeps things interesting."

"Well shit." Wolf blushed at that, "I'm down for that, that's for sure."

They were also just part of the reason she had no tits. The other being her unwillingness to spend the eddies on what she deemed ‘extra weight’.

"Did you seriously get RGB installed in your frame?" He asked as he got back in his car and turned on the engine, "That's fucking nova."

"Maybe when we're not so busy with work." He said, "Then we can go apeshit. I'd be fucking joking if I said I didn't want to watch. But anyways..."

Wolf turned his head so he could see where he was going, and began to drive.

"I just put the coords in, we're going to be arriving in about twenty minutes, considering traffic." He said.

She tilted her head in feigned ignorance “does your auto tint still work?” She said with an innocent blink of her eyes.

She pat his tail sympathetically. "Sorry, Abel."

Asta held onto Rei the next time she got scared, hiding her eyes behind Rei's ear.

"It's really well-made, and realistic, but a little too realistic for me." She whispered to Rei.

“Want me to sleep with you tonight?” Rei asked, a mischievous smile on her face “Give you someone to snuggle with to keep the scary dreams away?” She teased.

For his part, Abel didn’t judge her for being spooked. If anything, Asta being as easily scared made him more comfortable about his own reactions, subdued though they were in comparison.

Asta cowered from the tense music, holding onto his tail as it got more ominous.

"When's it gonna– AH!" She shrieked from the jumpscare, quickly turning to apologize to her roommate for being so loud.

Rei’s ear folded down in response to her shriek, not otherwise she was laughing. Throwing an arm around Asta in a side-hug “it’s fine Asta. This movie use more of a ghost movie than the previous two entries.”

Abel had done his best to keep still, but jumped both from when Asta shrieked as much as the actual jumpscare.

"I wonder where they are? This place isn't that hard to navigate." she asked herself, making her way to the door to look into the hall.

She hesitated as she brought over the snacks.

"Actually... Could you take the middle seat, Rei? If you picked a scary movie, I might want to hide." She admitted.

“And you don’t wanna hid behind the big strong man?” She teased, but otherwise scooched closer to Abel.

He chuckled “no, she’s made the right move. I love horror movies, but because they scare me.” He explained “I’ll try not to pull the both of you into group hug. But, y’know… it’s a possibility.”

She set the first bowl on Rei's lap and got the second bowl for Abel.

"Do you want to season your with anything, Abel?"

He shook his head “nope, just regular is fine for me.” He smiled and settled in.

Rei reached for the remote, having already prepared everything else while they had been making snacks and drinks. “Alright, let’s get started.”

Asta got settled beside Rei with a little bowl to hold her popcorn in. Maybe a movie will take her mind off of the stress of the decision she'd be making.

The movie started off like most sequels do: showing a brief recap from the previous movie, which involved the heroine and the other survivors putting down the monster for what seemed to be the last time. As they were escorted away from the area so the authorities, the camera panned back to show the corpse of the monster shift slightly: one of the hands twitching before the skeleton began to peel itself from the meat.

Rei leaned over to Asta “they went pretty hard on the special effects. So I’ll warn you when the more graphic scenes are about to happen.” She whispered.

"Thank you." She whispered back, already curling away from the TV.

"It's already looking pretty graphic to me."

From there it followed pretty standard procedure for a horror movie: the survivors trying and failing to go about their normal lives after their previous experiences, paranoia about whether they had actually succeeded, then the strange happenings: A nightmare sequence involving all the people, phantom growling in the darkness, and people around the town acting bizarre.

“Heads up.” Rei chimed in, nudging Asta with her elbow.

Abel as well seemed to be tensing up, his tail at one point having been draped over both girls like a weighted leathery pillow.

Abel made his way over to the microwave, putting a packet of popcorn in “might as well get this started now right?” He suggested, looking around “where do you guys keep the popcorn bowl?”

“Leftmost cupboard on the bottom.” Rei called, having finished getting her shorts on. “I can get it, so you don’t have to bend over.”

"Please do, Rei. And get me some zip lock bags so Sylvette can take some warm popcorn with her."

She wagged her tail affirmatively, before pulling up both the bowl and a gallon sized zip bag “done and done.” She said, looking around for a moment “kinda nice having this many people in the dorm.” She mused aloud.

“Some of the rooms do feel a little too big.” Sylvette said “I think it’s meant so people make friends and invite them over.”

"It's definitely accomodating for bigger species and for study groups." She nodded.

"We could definitely host movie nights here. Maybe a monthly thing?" She suggested.

“Sounds like fun idea.” Abel replied “I’ll sort through my own collection and pick some out when head home.”

“That sounds like fun. You can learn a lot about someone by their taste in movies.” Rei said, having finished with her tasks. “Need any more help Asta?”

"Make some room for Abel to sit." She pointed to their couch.

"Syl, Amelia isn't allergic to anything, right?"

“Nope, she’s not got any allergies.” She said.

Rei moved to the couch, adjusting some pillows before taking her seat next to one of the arms. It didn’t take long before Abel joined her with the bowl of popcorn. The two both ended up draping their tails in the others lap.

“Oh, that’s very fluffy.” He said idly, gently running his fingers through the mass of white poof.

“Holy shit…” she mused aloud “your tail is heavy.”

That would look really cute if Asta didn't know they were just horny for each other.

"Okay. Two cups of cocoa and a bag of popcorn. We'll let you know when we plan another movie night." Asta smiled to Sylvette as she passed her the snacks.

"See you tomorrow?"

“Of course!” She said, moving to give Asta a quick hug before accepting the snacks “just make sure you don’t have too much fun tonight. Don’t want you showing up to class too tired.” She teased, glancing back at the others.

“But in all seriousness-“ she chuckled “I look forward to seeing you tomorrow. Things should be easier for the next week or so as they get ready for the big magic tests.”

Right. The magic tests. The magic tests that require a contract with a patron or confirmation of opting out of the program. Depending on the degree, it could also mean switching faculties completely... And she was making arrangements to transfer out of the academy. She was considering dropping out entirely... The day was so much fun, that she forgot about her plans to leave.

"I'll see you tomorrow. Maybe we can get lunch together before heading to the library again." She smiled.

“Sure thing.” She said with a smile before taking off.

Rei and Abel had made space between them for Asta, both of them having moved their tails to make the room. “Right here Asta. That way we can all get some snacks without having to reach around this big lug.” Rei said with a playful thumb jab in Abel’s direction.
