Newt is new to beacon hills, but nobody else knew that he wasn’t new to the supernatural world. A master shapeshifter who has the ability to turn his presence into a mere shadow. Superhuman hearing, car alarms, footsteps, police officer radios, you name it, he can probably hear your conversation from hundreds of miles away. Since bats tend to consume bugs as a food source, the blonde tried his best to keep these tiny insects a part of his diet. He has the ability to shake others humans with the use of his echolocation, but he remains unaffected. Since he spends most of his time within the depths of a dark and dreary cave, he had little to no claustrophobia, but that didn’t mean he couldn’t make others sense it. People tended to get nervous, they must perceive him as bad luck charm.

What happens when the bat and a nerdy teenage boy who spends an absurd amount of time researching supernatural folklore meet? Unfortunately, it wouldn’t be easy for Stiles to ignore the potential feelings he had, but he wasn’t attracted to the British teen… or was he?

Newt Showing Stiles Around His Home

The darkness illuminated throughout the castle halls. Newt was prancing around the dark titled corridors. Bugs crawled around the floorboards tor easy access to his food. Stiles followed behind him. “Newt?”

“Yes, love?”

“Do you live here alone?”

“Yeah. My parents don’t live here. They just had me transfer here. They figured it would be good for me.”

Stiles sighed. “Isn’t that lonely?”

Newt shook his head. “It’s calming. My life is hectic as is. Care for a waltz?”

Stiles laughed. “I can’t dance.”

“It doesn’t matter. It’s just us here.”

Stiles laughed and ran in front of his boyfriend. “You’ll have to catch me first!”

Within seconds, Newt was in front of him. His fangs showed as he smiled. It didn’t take him much to move faster than others. The brunette collided into his chest. “Fell for me twice, yeah?”

Stiles held onto him to keep balance. “You’re a dork. That wasn’t fair.”

Newt was giggling. “Wouldn’t want anyone else but you, Stillinski.”

Stiles sat on the floor. “Where’d you grow up anyway?”

Newt thought of what to say for a second. “Far away from here.”

Stiles continued to ask questions. “What about-“

Newt rolled his eyes playfully. “Stiles. Just shut up and kiss me.”

Newt leaned in and placed his lips confidently on his lovers. His claws appeared, but he made sure to be cautious with them.

“I love you.” Stiles slipped out the unexpected words of devotion. The words were almost inaudible, but of course, Newt could hear.

“I love you too, darling.”

Stiles pulled up to his boyfriend’s house. They could finally be alone for a night. He smiled when he saw Newt sprinting out to his jeep. The car door was shut faster than Stiles could even react. “Hi, baby.” He wasn’t very good with the nicknames, but it felt easier with Newt. “What are we doing tonight?”

“Whatever feels right. Just wanted to see you.”

Stiles nodded and just started driving. They never really cared about where they ended up. “You’re lucky you didn’t end up with someone else, you know.”

Newt laughed. “I could’ve just hid. I’d never actually go out. I’d have to fake some sort of sickness because of the sunlight. I’d be afraid to kiss-“

Stiles shook his head. “Fortunately, for you, there’s no other options, but me.” Within minutes the car was put in park. Newt unbuckled his seatbelt and laid his head on his boyfriend’s shoulder.

“I’m glad it was you, love.”

“I’m never gonna get used to your accent, but I love you.”

The car was warm as their hands interlocked with each others. They could sit in silence for hours and be comfortable with each other. Stiles made sure to treat Newt as a human. The stars shined in the sky as Newt leaned in for a kiss.

@ultimategazer (sorry I haven’t wrote anything for this ship in so long!!! Here’s some headcanons!!!)

- they both share the same level of sarcasm.

- they try to go on night dates as much as possible because the sunlight hurts newt’s eyes.

- sometimes stiles playfully takes newt’s sunglasses because he loves seeing his boyfriend’s eyes, but he gives them back immediately after.

- stiles fell first, but newt fell harder.

- on one of their first date nights, newt took stiles on a flight above the stars. stiles was terrified and nervous, but newt found it adorable.

- Nobody messes with stiles. He can handle himself, but newt is always right behind him for support. Vice versa.

- stiles encourages newt to wear whatever he wants. Both of their closets are overflowing with each other’s hoodies and sweaters because they tend to share clothes.

- OBSESSED WITH EACH OTHER

- When stiles rambles on and on, newt kisses him to shut him up. He doesn’t mind stiles rambling, but sometimes he just wants a kiss.

- When stiles takes newt on late night drives in his jeep, they tend to hold hands.

- Newt rarely gets sick because his immune system is practically indestructible, but when he does, stiles is immediately trying to make him feel better.

- The bright streetlights at night tend to bother newt’s vision, so he normally covers his head with one of stiles’ hoodies.

- Always take the long way home during drives so they can spend more time with each other.

- One time, stiles’ jeep got a flat tire and newt had to fly them both home.

- You never see one of them without the other. Their teachers constantly ask where they are.

- Both of them love physical touch.

- their first kiss was awkward, but stiles was in heaven.

Stiles had been trying to pay attention in economics with Coach Finstock no matter how boring it might’ve been, some days were different, and today happened to be one of those days. The class was currently waiting for a new student to arrive. Stiles’ eyes shifted to the door as he heard it creak awkwardly. The boy’s eyes were greeted by a boy that he had never seen before. His eyes were covered by sunglasses, but Stiles’ didn’t take note of that in the moment.

Stiles’ blinked and tried to focus on the newly introduced teen’s words, but his accent was a distraction to Stiles. The way his hair fell perfectly, his body language that showed off his confidence, and god, his voice. It was smooth, sounded like heaven-

The teen’s thoughts were cut off once he realized that the entire class had moved onto a completely different topic of conversation. He tried to pay attention for the rest of the class period, but of course he failed.

Stiles was extremely thankful when the bell for lunch finally rang. He needed to talk to Scott as soon as he possibly could. He sped over to their regular table. “Scott. So.. like.. what’s the chance of me liking a guy?”

“Woah, woah, woah, what?”

“Me. Liking a guy.”

“How am I supposed to know?”

“You don’t understand though. He’s so.. oh my god. His accent. Couldn’t focus. This man’s hair is two-toned. He- ugh. What do I do?”

“He what? Let me see if I figure something out quick.”

“I don’t know. He had sunglasses on, but people don’t normally wear those inside, but I sort of ignored in the moment.”

Stiles watched Scott’s expression as he sat trying to think. “Did you see his teeth?”

“What?”

“Did you see his teeth?”

“Uh..” the teen closed his eyes and tried to gather a blurry image in his head from what he could remember. “Fangs.. like yours, but they look more intimidating.”

Scott laughed. “No way. You should know this. You’re the one who does all the research on this stuff.”

Stiles’ looked confused at this comment. “What are you talking about?”

“Stiles. He’s a bat. They’re stronger than me, smarter, faster, more dangerous. He’s not just a guy. Just be careful.”

In that moment, Stiles knew he was ignoring all this schoolwork tonight to research the supernatural phenomenons of the world once again.
