[they carefully kneel down and set mechanic to lean against a wall. it’d bleed more lying down, that’s what they reckon anyway. make sure the head’s in an okay position so it can breathe properly. feet and arms can be relaxed around them, probably doesn’t matter as much. thankfully the robot arm doesn’t seem to have taken much damage.]

[After what felt like forever, Mechanic slowly opened its eyes, instantly getting hit by a blindingly bright light right in their face.]

[Their thoughts didn't make yet, everything was blurry and messed up, all that could tell is that they feel very warm and lightheaded. And, of course, torturing pain in their chest, which made Mechanic try to whine, making sounds that of a small, hurt bird.]

[as mech finally shows signs of consciousness, an unexpectedly huge sense of relief hits them like a tidal wave. cursors above they’re alive they’re awake they’re okay they’re alive. kneeling down in front of it, they beam at the small bird, forgetting a few fairly important details for a moment.]

But all that came out are weak whines like that of a dying small animal. While barely processing what happened, Mechanic found a hole in their chest. It was big enough for them to eaily stick its fist into it. Something inside of that hole stang, slowly eating it from the inside. Something wet dropped down their shirt. For a moment Mechanic thought it was just hit by an extremely strong water gun, before another realization hit it. It was their blood.]

They weren't the most open and honest kind, it knew this, but... Something in their expression, something in the way they were holding a gun, it terrified Mechanic, showing a side of themselves it wasn't expecting. ]
