Star Wars | Imperial!Rebel AU! FINALLY! I’ve been wanting to draw this au ever since reading THIS FIC ages ago and also because disheveled and scruffy imperials are super fun (and sexy) to draw. Redesigned a bunch of the uniforms to suit a more Imperial aesthetic (and the white cog/eye patch for Tarkin is inspired from THIS FIC). I can imagine them being a very dysfunctional family who has each other’s backs no matter what. I had two mentalities while doing these; you either want to climb them like a tree or protect them at all cost (OR BOTH EHE). I mean look at Tarkin, I made him into the silver fox dad npc (who is done with everything and just wants to sleep) that you can’t date. Why? BECAUSE I CAN.

I read your mermaid AUs last night and I loved them! They were so beautifully written. You really are an amazingly talented author! I loved how you incorporated selkie folklore into your stories. I am OBSESSED with selkies! Have you ever seen the film The Secret Of Roan Inish? I first saw that movie as a little kid, and since then I’ve always been fascinated with selkies. So seeing the selkie folklore influence made me really happy!

As I was reading Shriek At The Edge Of the Water, I kept thinking “I bet they really loved The Shape Of Water!” And then, reading the notes at the end about seeing the film after you had already written the ending of your fic! That made me laugh!Oh, and your note at the end of A Storm in The Shape Of A Girl, about being inspired by the Pines Of Rome sequence of Fantasia 2000, I loved that part!😍

Aww, hehe, I’m SO delighted you loved the stories, and especially the selkie aspect. And omg I didn’t know there was a film! How that slipped past me in all the research I don’t know! I will track this down immediately. *resolve face*

Hehe, I still can’t get over the Shape Of Water coincidence. That was just too freaky, it made me so glad I had already written that bit down! 

And haha, yesss, I’m glad yet another person shares my love of the Pines Of Rome sequence. The arctic ocean AU is one of my fave bits of that fic, hee. Along with the Indian one and the Aboriginal mythology one.
